I know nothing about the ad,…

I know nothing about the ad, nor how it infiltrates the site, but I do know about the company.  It’s not a nefarious company so I find it odd.  TruStage partners with Credit Unions to offer insurance products such as disability or GAP insurance. Their main source of business is providing bonds to Credit Unions nationally (they were called CUNA Mutual forever and recently changed their branding) and they also partner with larger home and auto insurance companies to provide discounted products to credit union members.

Thanks for doing this!  What…

Thanks for doing this!  What I'm most interested in is how recruiting is going to change with the ability to compensate players in the "near" future?  How do you see things changing and can Harbaugh be the "Saban" for this new era of recruiting?

Fair enough.  All of the…

Fair enough.  All of the experts have shown their knowledge admirably.  I shall accept this finding, but will continue to not like it.  Guess I've leveled up my Old Man class and I shall *rabble rabble* and brush up on my "get off my lawn" then.

That's the thing though...I…

That's the thing though...I know about re-targeting advertising.  I haven't shopped for any OSU gear, been to any OSU sites, looked sideways at an OSU sweatshirt or even oogled an OSU co-ed.  This is why I actually posted on this one as it's not a re-targeting ad as far as I can tell.

I don't put ad-blocker up because I approve of supporting the free content Brian and Co. provide us.

And as to Brian having "no control" over this, I just can't buy that entirely.  Maybe it's true, but it seems so unlikely to me I just have a hard time accepting that excuse.

Oh god.  Did I do the thing…

Oh god.  Did I do the thing where this was posted three posts down and has 529 replies already?  Bolivia is cold this time of year!

Emoni Bates is on the cover…

Emoni Bates is on the cover of Sports Illustrated RIGHT NOW and he's 15 years old.  You're crazy if you think the money cannon isn't pointed right at him.

Was at the game and heard no…

Was at the game and heard no boo'ing at all.  I DID hear a lot of cheering when Dylan came in and took over, but the boo-birds weren't in my vicinity.

On 97.1 today, Jon Jansen…

On 97.1 today, Jon Jansen quoted Don Brown as saying that Kwity Paye might be "the best college football player in the country."  Just sayin!

Dynasty Salary Cap League If you want in on Ghost's league but it's all filled up, I have a league also in need of one manager. It's a salary cap, dynasty league. Some highlights: There is a cash buy in (disclosed via email if you're interested), the "draft" is an auction draft that takes place over a couple weeks via email, players can be contracted for 1-3 years, 10 teams total, Not PPR, you have Injured Reserve and Franchise opportunities. Current team has: Andrew Luck, Jordy Nelson, CJ Anderson, Kelvin Benjamin, Tyler Lockett, Marvin Jones, Jeremy Langford and the Carolina Defense. Email [email protected] if interested!
President/CEO

President/CEO of a small, not for profit financial services organization in Washtenaw County.  Small, not for profit financial services organization could also be read as "Credit Union" but for some reason many people don't realize that!

West Virginia

When he was there, Rich Rod was West Virginia's Harbaugh.

WOOT!

Friday!  Long Weekend!  Pay Day!  Papa Wheatley staying!  And I fixed my cracked toilet seat so no more fear of pooping!

Happy days indeed.  Go Blue!

For me at least..

It's not about hatred of Sp8 (at least for me.)  It's about seeing a QB that Harbaugh actually hand picked via recruiting rather than what he inherited.  On a positive note though, I have absolute faith that Harbough and Co will choose the QB that they think gives the best chance at winning, and I furthermore agree that Speight has a big head start to being that guy.

Balls

No points, but I fear not!

I'm the one who turned MGoBlog in for sexybits because someone needs to think of the children.

LloydBrady is stupid.

MGoBBQ's recipes are swill.

The bumblebee jerseys are lit.

I thought 2016 was a pretty awesome year overall.

Suck it.

Slippery Slope

My issue with this is the slippery slope that it becomes.  As Ace says,  "I can understhand a player of McCaffrey's caliber skipping any non-playoff appearance.:  The question becomes, where is the line drawn?  What about the last game of the regular season?  Maybe the moment a team is mathematically eliminated from playoff contention it's time to hang it up?  I, like Brian, am torn on this one.

Squares

Not worthy of it's own thread, so I am throwing this here-

Last year, as I watched the game and a little piece of me died inside, I had played football "squares" for my kids softball team.  I went home depressed, and at like 3am I woke up suddenly and realized that the final punt play had changed the score (I hadn't even been paying attention at that point) and I won the pot for the football squares.

This year, I played again for the same fundraiser and as Mork was lined up to do the unthinkable with 1 second left I realized that I had Michigan "0" and MSU BOTH "3" and "5".  I.e. If MSU, for SOME reason, actually went for 2 I was going to win the jackpot again if they scored or if they were not successful.  And then Jabrill did his thing and no money for me.

I can tell you without hesitancy that I'll take the result from this year 100% of the time!

Loophole

Donate $100,000 or so to a high school football program down south.  Ask for naming rights.  Add it to your policy book citing it as one of your practice facilities.  Profit.

Suffice it to say that this is a ludicrous ruling by the NCAA.  And if my suggestion above wouldn't work, tell me how a school opens a new facility under this rule?

Words

MGlobules said words.  Lots of words....I think.

Cool Story Bro

Eloped to Hawaii 13 years ago and the minister (met him for the first time ever 15 minutes before the ceremony) was named Bobby Boucher!

I worked there!

Ok, I can clear up much about this as I worked there from the day it opened until the day I showed up to locked doors and a man handing out our last paychecks.  I was a bus boy initially and a server VERY briefly as they struggled to keep people.  It was one of my first ever jobs.

First, the location.  I can confirm with certainty that it was located on Boardwalk across the street from the Wendy's.  It occupied what is now a sushi restaurant (not sure of the name anymore) and had previously been a Ponderosa.

The restaurant was filled with promise, but I blame the manager for the ultimate failure.  He had been the Ponderosa manager and he ran Bo's in the same vein.  It wanted to be an upscale steakhouse, but paper placemats and napkins, Ponderosa style salad bar and steaks, cheap decorations and low quality servers really all added up to a "meh" experience.

One thing that I distinctly remember is that in the restuarant, they built a small radio studio.  The radio studio had been intended to have Bo and radio hosts come on location to have their Sunday (or whatever day) radio show from the restaurant.  The studio was actually pretty nice, but I don't recall the radio show ever taking place there.  Honestly I don't know what happened in that regard.

One more "cool story bro" moment - years later I took up a job catering and I worked multiple events with Bo in attendance.  I was serving drinks and Bo came up to the station I was working and took his glass and just stood there sipping his white wine.  Striking up conversation, I mentioned to him that I had actually worked at his restaurant and how I had wished it had turned out differently.  He smiled at me, shook his head and told me how it was an investment that his advisors had suggested, and how it was a total cluster f&ck.  I had the pleasure of serving Bo many times and he was always like that in my experience. Blunt and friendly.

Metzgers

Personally I prefer Metzger's but, Heidelberg is both tasty AND delicious!

HARBAUGH

Harbaugh is always on topic IMHO!

Grievance

Oh - and also the Dutch.

er...I had comma fail. My er...I had comma fail. My daughters name is Nya, not Sommy! Lol.
Me too! Amazingly, I had the same thought Saturday for my daughter Sommy. See, my daughter is going to be 5 years old on November 21st. The day she was born, was nearly 5 years ago when Troy Smith and the Buckeyes defeated a heavily favored Michigan team in 2004 and started this stretch. Since the day of her birth, we have (as we all know) not beated OSU. In addition, the very first football game that I ever took her too was (you guessed it), "The Horror". BUT, all this has been corrected! Last Saturday I took a chance with her and brought her to DSU. And 'LO, not only did we win but we set the all time UofM offensive yardage record. As I walked with her out of the stadium, it was like a cloud lifted from over her head. I am convinced that the curse is broken and I will say it now - We WILL beat the Buckeyes this year!
I like this I think this is a neat find. Nice work. Also, I think that it's actually 18-3 based on your review. You shorted the underdog a win between the years 1995 and 1997 ('95 is 7-2, '96 is 8-2, '97 is back to 7-3)
Promise! I will not mix my possesive pronouns, adverbs or contractions. If I did in my earlier post, please flog me now! And I completely appreciate the quality control as well - thanks.
Damnation I lose! Sorry for my epic newbness. I swear I did a search before I posted though!
This is almost worse than the This is almost worse than the day I took my daughter to her first U of M game (opening day 2007). OMG I need a drink now.
Ok! I've been a lurker for ages, but this one has brought me out of my shell. I HAVE to throw my vote in for RED HOT LOVER! 1 Chicago Dog 1 Serious Dog 1 Basket of Fries (save the baby red baskets!) 1 Cherry Coke = the WIN
