but regardless he's still beating a Pete Carroll coached USC by 34 which is just rediculous.
|6 days 10 hours ago||agreed Red is a legend||
He's 5th all time in wins, He owns the longest streak of consecutive tournament appearances, has two national titles... He's our Paterno.
Side note, we need to get him talking to Harbaugh since he was an NHL head coach before leaving to take the job at Michigan

I'm thoroughly surprised that we went that long without a user named Jim Harbaugh. You just missed it man, that's pretty impressive!
|1 week 9 hours ago||they should of done that already||
or at least named an existing one after him. His stats speak for themselves as he's done alot.

I was confused till I reread your comment

I once bought an old motorcycle, old enough that my bank didn't have it in their system, which meant that I couldn't use it as collateral and had to take a personal loan - my rate was 16.9%. It was a small loan so it really didn't matter, but my point is that personal loan rates are generally pretty high. This one is not on the congressman so much as it is on the Johnsons. It is absolutely sickening what they've done to their son.

They were already pretty destitute, the president was embezzling federal financial aid funding in an attempt to prop up the college. She and her cohort were applying for more financial aid by using the names of current and former students as well as people not associated with the college to get federal moneys in order to dig Morris Brown out of their financial hole.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||perhaps if you had posted on the board||
but as has been said, Diaries are held to a higher standard. Think of it like the difference between writing for the National Enquirer vs The Washington Post (not the best comparison but it serves my point regardless); posts in the diaries are held to a higher standard and require statistics, sources, something real from which conclusions may be drawn. Board posts can be about unsupported opinion (and frequently are).

this was a bad idea
|3 weeks 9 hours ago||Your cat||
I like the enthusiasm and energy he would bring to the program, He seems to be great at motivating people, I'm just not sure about his W/L record. Also I'm so sure I like the idea of a coach being paid in belly rubs and fancy feast.

|3 weeks 4 days ago||yeah and a metric shit-ton||
Of fans were wrong about Mike Hart... So where does that leave us. I'll take the expert opinion 10/10 times, they're generally more well informed. Not infallible mind you, but more accurate.
Besides most experts said he'd have to change to an RB/WR because he couldn't throw for shit. I don't remember anyone saying he wouldn't be a good player.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||not quite||
Urlacher played a Linebacker-Safety hybrid in a 3-3-5 defense... Somewhat akin to Cam Gordon.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||theres more too it than effort||
Blocking is in no way merely effort in the same way that power running isn't merely effort and tackling isn't merely effort.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||by that logic||
If you played Vince Wilfork at safety and he showed he was too slow and terrible in coverage moving him to DT would be rewarding his poor play and he should be made to play safety.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||how is that possible||
When we've established he's a terrible blocker and you've stated that his hands, quickness, and route running aren't good enough, in fact they're apparently so bad that he can't possibly work on those skills and we should just give up on this after eight taking games. No NFL team is going to draft the player you've described in the first, second, third, fourth, or fifth round.

In there right mind would make a top 15 pick change positions... Maybe Gurley should switch to WR. Think of all the Mismatches!

He's great with their fan base but comes off equally petty and immature towards other fan bases. His tweets about UM and its athletes would be thoroughly embarassing if he were at any other university.

on a blog I'd have to find out which one, and how credible they are. There are a metric shit-ton "social justice warriors" with blogs who are not above fabrication or hyperbole for the sake of their cause. And some sports blogs I can see running with a fantastic story without fact checking because it illicits homerism or contempt.
That being said you cannot merely dismiss something just because it originated on a blog especially one as reputable as MGoBlog, and especially since Brian and Ace really did their homework.

I was expecting something narcissistic, condescending, and ignorant; was not dissapointed.
|6 weeks 9 hours ago||Hoke is an anchor that he will cut if necessary.||
I agree that he will cut Hoke loose if he deems it necessary, but I'm not sure how necessary he would think it is. I see Brandon making a few changes to try to appease the students and large donors at the cost of ordinary fans (these will be more changes in departmental policy, not coaching changes) I highly doubt that Schlissel says anything that tells him firing Hoke is necessary to keep his job, therefore I doubt its seen by Brandon as a necessity.
|6 weeks 9 hours ago||fair enough||
If that's the case it'll be interesting to see who he picks. The top candidates being Tyrone Willingham, Mark Mangino, and Eastern Washington's Offensive Coordinator.
On a serious note: Who wants to coach a team where your athletic director handles his staff like a paranoid despot.
|6 weeks 10 hours ago||This is common, for example||
Everyone knows E. Gordon Gee was the president at Ohio, but he was also the quarterbacks coach. Hence his fear that Jim Tressel would fire him.
