As I read it the court invalidated a rule which would otherwise be somewhat redundant. Nobody is allowed to have sex with minors below the age of consent. The law that was invalidated said that police officers couldn't have sex with minors... which they already weren't allowed to do because of the first law.
Effectively what it means, as I've read it, is that if another 35 year old officer has sex with another 14 year old he/she would be charged with statutory rape, but that it wouldn't be enhanced by the fact that he/she is a police officer.
"In Ohio, it is illegal for anyone over the age of 18 to have sex with someone under the age of 16. For people in professions with frequent interactions with children, like teachers, coaches and clergy, having sex with a minor is considered sexual battery, a third-degree felony. A 2007 law added law enforcement officers to this list" via http://www.cleveland19.com/story/32572134/matthew-mole-supreme-court
This is a far cry from the headline: "Ohio Court Says Police Are Legally Allowed To Have Sex With Children" which is rediculous, false, and clickbaity.

is it bad that the only part that bothers me is where he says "other than annoying other coaches and the NCAA, Harbaugh hasn't done anything illegal".
I realize he's not intending to say that being annoying is illegal, but that's literally what he's saying.
The article is ignorant whiney click bait by someone desperately trying to find something about Jim Harbaugh to be outraged about. It's not worth getting upset over because quite frankly it's completely absurd, but what irks me is when people say things like the above quote... you're writing an article, so I expect at least a rudimentary understanding of the English language.

at least before his divorce, afterwards he somehow got more creepy, perverted, and became completely unwatcheable. I was not a fan of Will Ferrell's character, he had a couple funny moments but overall I thought he was pretty "meh".
Either way, you could tell the show had run its course when they started manufacturing relationship issues just to keep the dialogue fresh

what are the odds that Brandon "picked" his successor, and then Schlissel was like "F*** no! I'm not hiring that guy, we're going with this Hackett guy instead".
Hackett just seems too grounded and qualified to be a Brandon hire.

For some reason I thought Schlissel hired Jim Hackett... mostly it was the fact that Brandon was already out when he was hired. Also Hackett just doesn't seem like the type of guy Brandon would've hired.

I think all that comes of this is Emmert calling Harbaugh unethical while simultaneously praising the ethical and responsible actions of the SEC. He'll continue this narrative of "not against the rules =/= OK" despite the fact that that's exactly what it means, and sidestep the real issues he should be addressing because doing so would mean potentially impeding the SEC's ability to win games at all costs.
that said, the effect changing these rules would have on other sports will stop him from moving forward with it I think
|27 weeks 1 hour ago||Hardly, its a topic of general interest||
especially on a sports blog. Just because there are political views that can be attached to an issue doesn't mean: that it was his intention to start a discuss of the values of said views; that he is attempting to state his own polital view; or that the topic cannot be discussed without embarking upon a political debate.
Peyton Manning is a popular figure and, especially in light of the Manning v. Brady rivalry, its an interesting topic that's worth discussing. Furthermore it can easily be discussed without venturing into devisive political discussions.

That would require Delany do something active. He's not going to do anything unless it adversely effects either Ohio State or his plans to add Cleveland State and DeVry University to the B1G.

Galloway is far and away the worst commentator / analyst I've ever seen. He does a worse job than Lou Holtz at cover up his bias and is far less entertaining.
That said, there are a ton of terrible commentators; Phil Sims is definitely up there...
We need to just start an army of Keith Jackson clones
