are pretty small, the most is about $4 million, most are around $2 million. divide that by 14 and each school is losing out on about $150,000. so they might have a team miss out on a mid-range bowl, but its not really a huge financial problem and the conference likely gets much more positive out of it than they might lose. |

Also James hall. Guys who were good on a conference level but not in nfl would be Terrence Taylor, Ron Rene's, grant bowman, off the top of my head. Might dig around for a few more, but I would agree that Michigan has had a lot more success in the nfl other places than DL. |

Accusation of something like "cutting" players and I don't put a lot of stock into it, ESP from rcmb, but I have a feeling if saban at bama had something like 25 guys in three years depart and bring in huge classes of highly touted kids, we would flip out as rcmb is. Looking at those 25 from inside though, we see some injuries, some kids who never made it to campus, some 5th year guys and some guys who you can chalk up to not being good enough / didn't like the coaching change (vinopal sticks out). |

Which I know, but its the offseason and its not even close to shark week. Anyway, one big theme over there is about how Hoke will use any excuse to cut a kid, whether it be Caleb Stacey and his injury or stonum and his legal issues. In the eyes of rcmb these are cuts of subpar players to add better players. This was news to me, that hoke is seen as someone who cuts. I suppose its impossible to say, but one could certainly view pulling an offer of an unranked kid for - gasp - swearing on the Internet as a similar move. If I thought MSU could find a more talented kid to take that spot, hur dur. |
