MBB sacrificed itself for…

MBB sacrificed itself for the good of the team.

Fun fact - first game I ever attended was App state.  I'm pretty sure I'm cursed.  Ran into Juwan in Vegas for Atlantis tournament, and ever since then football has been on the rise and bball is dropping.

All that's to say I'm pretty sure I put the curse on Michigan football, but also moved it over to the bball team.  Not planning to go to a bball game ever again.

As someone in enemy…

As someone in enemy territory (Seattle), if there's a meet-up or something for the natty let me know - all my co-workers and everything are not as accepting of my Michigan fandom this week for some reason.

I was 100% team get Michigan to Puerto Rico ASAP through Annapolis.  Now that we have accomplished the top mission of this game - time to park the bus on AA.

Honestly the whole 2009 team…

Honestly the whole 2009 team that made the tourney and beat Clemson.  One of the first years I followed bball (I was at Crisler with the team for the selection watch!) and was a fun team with no expectations.

However, I would say that the two dudes that stick out to me (besides Novak) are Manny Harris and DeShawn Sims.

Yupppp, landed last night.  Got first row seats in the upper bowl for that leg rest action.

Lots of sports going on out here.  Wings played last night, there's Bengals in for NFL game, people rocking LV sports teams gear.  A lot different in terms of how much focus there is on sports out here now, rather than the last time I was here which was like 10 years ago.

I'm not sure if you know -…

I'm not sure if you know - but it's actually going to be 10 books broken up into two "narratives" of 5 books.  The "break between act" characters will be some of the main ones.

Also, thanks for sharing - and another quote from Stormlight Archives to help inspire - "Journey before destination"

Think it should still be kept up in case people want to see how it went.

3 Michigan players (Walton on Kings) - both Simpson and Walton didn't play.

Chaundee played well which I'm always happy to see (12pt in 17mins).

Agreed.  Hopefully he is…

Agreed.  Hopefully he is looking for input from the NBA about what they would need him to focus on to get into the first round.  Then he can being to work to improve that at Michigan.  Like 3s, or right-hand shot, or whatever their thoughts are that are keeping him from being drafted this year.

I actually disagree, and for…

I actually disagree, and for reference I transferred into Michigan for my degree.  The academic standards determine what colleges you are allowed to xfer credits from.  All mine transferred and I came in from a diff B10 engineering school.

If it was a CC or non-P5 there would've probably been credits not approved based on all my research on it back then.

When you say Franz Wagner…

When you say Franz Wagner isn't happening, you mean him going pro this offseason right?

Not a big deal and not being an ass, but Nembhard xferred from Florida - unless UKY is some slang for Florida I don't know.

Edit: Juzang was UK and went to UCLA - just realized that after I posted as well.

I hope whoever is going,…

I hope whoever is going, cheers for the entirety of the game.  Since there are so many less people in attendance, a single person cheering will be more prevalent.

Make it a home game, and give the team and Howard all the advantages we can.  In all the upcoming games we should easily be able to control the crowd/energy.

As always, Go Blue!

Senior on the team, normally only sees time in the last few mins of a game.

It could of been his choice,…

It could of been his choice, not Michigans.  I think he is from Novi and it's not that far of a drive, maybe he road tripped with family or friends.  Maybe he didn't feel like getting up at 5am at AA for leaving (if that's when they left -idk).  Maybe he knows people in columbus and wanted to spend the weekend if he knew he wasn't dressing for the game.

But yeah, if he had to drive to columbus because Michigan couldn't get him on the bus, that's a bit weird.

Honestly I think that could…

Honestly I think that could be the likely outcome, but I would LOVE it if he just became like a coach k, roy, etc. status who is just a staple at the University for decades (I'm ignoring the scandals/etc).  I think he has a better chance to do "it" than a typical coach just with his ties to the university, finishing his degree, mentoring, etc. and they happen so it's not impossible.........

Now the chances are so incredibly small - but just dream with me!  What if he just becomes a solid, like coach K equivalent, and for over 40 years we have that sort of stability with our team/identity/whatever and come out the other side just like wow that was a ride.  That never happens ever, so at this moment it could happen and I'm full team Juwan Is Staying His Entire Career until it's time to get off the ride, because if it happens I wanna be full in.

But yeah you're more than likely right.

I'm not the poster you asked…

I'm not the poster you asked about, but I live about a 1/2 mile from the initial outbreak in Kirkland (technically Juanita Bay neighborhood).  It's a bit on edge here but not crazy.  Most people work from home, some are still going into work - traffic used to be a nightmare now there is no slow downs, so that should indicate the amount of people that WFH.

I think most people have accepted that they could/are going to get exposed at some point so most of everyone is doing all the preventative suggestions to the T.  I see only a few people out with masks on, it is way more common to see people wearing latex gloves especially if it's a job with outside interaction (IE grocery stores).

Theres a few people I know that are sick, but it's hard to distinguish if its covid or something else like the common cold. Everyone is overly cautious so most treat it like it could be it.  From what I can tell no medical place is prepared to evaluate everyone who shows some symptoms, so most are told to self quarantine, which most people don't appreciate not being able to know if they have it or not.

Personally I'm not so worried, I'm in my low 30s.  My bigger concern is I dont want to be an unknown carrier of it and be part of the spreading and possibly get other people sick who are older or have poor health.

Obviously it's because MSU…

Obviously it's because MSU just played a team from Illinois, and the subliminal message is that if we want to feel superior to MSU we need to beat our Illinois road team this week.  If we don't win then that means that Mel Tucker will go undefeated every season for the next 40 years at Michigan State and we don't want that.

ND, Wiscy, and Iowa?  I…

ND, Wiscy, and Iowa?  I could also see PSU over Iowa with the hope that us beating PSU will overshadow the close win vs Iowa.  I don't think any of the other B10 outcomes will impact us much.

ND since if we will it'll be against a higher ranked team.

Wiscy for better #qualityloss.

Iowa to show the slogfest was more the defense being good, rather than the offense being bad if they could beat PSU.

But honestly it's more if we win out rather than what other teams do - but this was to answer your OP question.

10+ pt victory.  Have more…

10+ pt victory.  Have more passing/rushing yards and fewer turnovers than Iowa.  No injuries and our DL looks good.  If we can get into halftime with a 10 pt lead and just control the 2nd half of the game and not get back within 7pts, I'd be content.

Extremely proud of this team - I'll admit I never followed Michigan baseball while I was there but always supported the Tigs and the MLB in general.  Now, I wish I had! Regardless, this run has been great to watch and it's been a great blip in Michigan sports in an otherwise barren time of the season!

Go Blue and just win it all!

That's a great point about…

That's a great point about analyst/coach, I hadn't considered that.

I had thought that the proposed rule change had been implemented already.  This makes more sense about why returning wasn't discussed that much.

Ok, thanks for the…

Ok, thanks for the clarification.  I knew there was something that wasn't clear cut between the NCAA rule and being accepted by the NBA.

Yeah, rehabbing the knee,…

Yeah, rehabbing the knee, film practice, conditioning.  I wouldn't assume he'd play substantial minutes next year but if we have a spare scholarship then I don't see why we wouldn't take care of those who came here and put in all the work.

Sure he could've stayed, I understand that, and any time that is put towards training Matthews is not time spent on another player.  But if we as a university want to truly be the leaders and best, then taking care of those who put in so much for the university seems to be necessary.

So I was watching the…

So I was watching the Michigan post game on YouTube and the FSU Coach Martin had some great things to say about Michigan, def worth a watch.

He seems like a great coach - for the people not watching the games/following, he is retiring at the end of the season with most wins at a school in NCAA baseball history.

I knew a few of the guys from Gunday Monday, they were always a fun band to go check out on a Friday night at a house party/venue.

I've "fully" relocated twice…

I've "fully" relocated twice where I moved across the country for a job w/o know the area or people.  I'm single w/ no family so the moving itself wasn't tough, and I like to explore so to me the same job type and pay but in a different and more interesting location is a selling point to me - which may not be true for other people.

For the record I did a move to Mountain View/SF right out of AA.  Packed up everything and went out there w/o a place to stay and just a job offer.  I also moved to Seattle based on a job offer w/o knowing the location at all.  I think it's healthy to see different parts of the US/world just because places can be so different and you can grow a lot from it.

Relocation pay is good, but I've never used that as a selling point.  IIRC I got taxed like it was a lump sum bonus, so it was even more taxed than usual pay.  I would focus on the salary (always go up for potential growth in future years too), yearly benefits, and the location.

Some advice, look at commute times for areas you'd want to live, if you're single you may want to live in trendy areas.  Make sure traffic doesn't get bad during rush hour, both SF and Seattle get really bogged down so a 20 mile commute becomes an >hour.  Make sure you are able to handle the weather, I've never lived in the NE but I hear the winters can be brutal. Figure out the cost of living delta and make sure you can still make it work while paying all your bills and everything (one thing I wished I did before moving to SF) because a salary looks good until you're sinking half of it into rent.

Long story short, is there any reason to stay in SD and not go on an adventure/see something new?

PS I don't know about Boston, but the tax structure in WA (no income tax) was a huge bonus that I never truly realized until I started getting paychecks - so good idea looking into that.

Stats people! Is that Zavier 9/9/9 stat uncommon? That seems pretty rare to be so specifically close to a triple double.

PS see yall next week!

Your translation may be…

Your translation may be correct, but I'm going half cup full and going to say that he is comfortable in his roles on ST and FB, and now wants to learn another role so he can play more football in general.

Now he'll score a TD on a FB dive, go light up the kick-off returner, then go get a TFL in three plays back-to-back.

A - D - B - E - C

A having…

A - D - B - E - C

A having the worst loss be #66 is solid along with a pretty good q2 and q3 record.

D got moved behind A because the Q3 loss for me.

B has a solid #8 win, but 2-5 in Q2 is a bit shaky.

E having a 1-10 Q1 record shows they have a hard time hanging w/ big time teams so would have a hard time outside of week 1.

6-2 in Q3 for C was a killer to me imo.

I had D > C > E > B > A, but…

I had D > C > E > B > A, but overall I agree with you.

Like someone else said, I'm surprised at how good Houston is.  I didn't know they were doing that well.
