On the other hand in 08 Wiscy game the North endzone had the 2 pt conversion stop to win the game, one of the single loudest moments in the stadium that I can remember in 30 years
One thing I would like to see is the average starting field position, Michigan never works with a short field and that could impact the TD conversion %. The M drives charted above all start on our side of the field and usually inside the 30.
I am impressed, a very mature individual. I can only imagine what I would have said at that age (20-21) to the media asking questions about me and my team. I am sure it would have been combative and not close to intelligent.
It could have been anybody that stole it, I just thought it might be humorous if I blamed sparty, I am just pissed that it happened. Sparty or not I should be able to live close to the stadium and not worry about my personal property. After 8 years of being here this is the first instance of anything negative happening so I am going to blame sparty. I love where I live and would never move because I would not trade the 6-7 days we play at home, it just sucks that I have to deal with stuff like this. And who takes a door mat, that has to be sparty. Go Blue!
Watch that spring game video and you tell me you want him on the field. He may have a ton of natural ability but based on the spring game he is not ready. I have not seen fall practice or any scrimmage but I can not believe he is ready to play at this point.
with 4:30 left we had to stop them either way to win, I would have kicked and played defense, because even if we scored, got the two point conversion, we still had to stop them to win the game
What evidence do we have that this defense will be better in 2010, BG graduating, Warren possibly to the NFL, 2010 we could see an even worse defense. I hope not, but I am not optimistic on that side of the ball.
Iowa did completely shut down PSU after the first quarter, but it looked like it was raining very hard in Happy Valley. That could have contributed to the strong defensive performance.
Are we really discounting Sparty already? If Cousins could hit the broad side of a barn, they would be 2-1 with a win on the road against ND. We are at their place and they have a countdown clock for us so we know they will be ready to play.
It looked to me that he was hit early and was still able to make the catch. It was a close play but the contact is definitely early and could have been flagged.
I have always had a question on defensives disguising coverages that maybe someone can answer. When the defensive is moving around pre snap, Is that called by the DC? I assume they have multiple looks that they show pre snap, is the disguise a part of the play call or up to the players on the field?
RichRod acknowleged in his presser that Boubacar had a bad day. Hopefully they can coach him up to being a functional/above average corner.
From the small sample size, he appears to have the same stone hands that whitley and howard possessed. Whitley terrified me returning punts. If he makes that pick that hit him directly in the numbers, the game is probably over at that point.
Just watch the tape from that bowl game last year, fast utah guys running past the man boobs from Alabama. We just need more experience and improved LB play.

But if I have to pick one, ND 2-0 with sparty imploding taking a safety at the end of the game in dramatic fashion. Bobbled snap, cousins(sp?)running around like a chicken with his head cut off, trying to get a throw off, only to fumble the ball out of the endzone.
The problem is, with ND's schedule they could run the table and end up playing in the MNC. How awful would December be having to listen to the media hype machine. I can't even think about it.
I was listening and very angry with him, I never liked him and wish they would not have brought him back, I picked up the phone twice and dialed to let him know my thoughts, but hung up twice, wasn't worth the effort because he would not have understand my point. I think if Rich Rod would acknowledge this it would be validating the great whale, I am glad he handled it like this completely disregarding the slob from south bend.
What I have noticed is on the east side as the sun approaches the boxes the sun glare makes it difficult to see, even with a hat and sunglasses on. When the sun does go down, it feels 20 degrees cooler, which is nice now, but come November I will have to drink more.
I sit on the east side of the stadium, section 41, I did not know the ND band was at the game until halftime. It was great to not hear their fight song all day long! I have never had an issue hearing either band in the past, The acoustics in the stadium are different this year.
This might not be an issue with our band.
After trying to figure out more about our defense, I read this today about USC's 4-3 under and it looks very similar to the formations we were running last week, it is long but I found it interesting.

I'm no expert, but muscle doesn't cause your skin to have the ripple effect after you shake it.
