the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

He's passing to the guy Hardaway's guarding. Looks like the guy's open for a pass but then decides to move toward the basket. |

I like the new updates, thanks! |

I don't know how the app system works, but I'd prefer to pay for the app instead of having ads when you get to that point. |

I used to like him, but in the last year or two he just seems like a caricature of himself. I'm actually kind of embarrassed to listen to him. It's especially bad when he pulls out a big catchphrase on some mediocre play just to say it before the broadcast is over. |

Love watching a 2 minute commercial for a 3 minute video. |

Oh yeah...wasn't thinking about that. |

Well, don't confuse tradition with "this has been the rule for a long time". Tradition is the banner, the fight song, not that away teams wear white. |

Looks great! I wish Kovacs was wearing 32 in this though. Edit: wasn't meant to be a reply, but oh well! |

Because it makes Big Ten Football shitty. |

Edit: got beat to my point here... It would be much easier to read if the colors were consistent and relevant...the most egregious examples are the ones where we are red and OSU is blue. |
| 26 weeks 1 day ago | Tape |
Agreed. Talking with my (almost) PT girlfriend and me looking at it like an engineer, we came up with the same conclusion. Shin is being placed into bending. Lower part is braced by the tape, but the energy has to be accounted for somewhere, so the excess causes a break. When this happens, being an "emergency" loading and not normal stress, you would want to move the point of failure to somewhere less critical in a part. With a leg, you would want the ankle to break, not the leg obviously. In addition, the gf says there is no evidence that ankle taping prevents ankle injuries besides maybe a psychological effect. Conclusion: taping needs to be reviewed and modified, but that's probably unlikely to happen. |

| 26 weeks 2 days ago | Maize Out |
"Students at the 2012 game against the University of Massachusetts participate in the successful "maize out" tradition, which began in 2005. Fans are encouraged to wear their yellow Michigan gear, normally a t-shirt or sweater, to create a sea of maize in the stands"
Er, they have quite a loose interpretation of the word "successful". |

I wasn't super happy with Special K Saturday. Frequently on 3rd downs, there would be great crowd noise and he would start up SNA, which made everyone stop to do the "Oh"s with the music. It was especially bad when he started this while Northwestern was setting up on the line. Seriously? |

Not really. He's muffed, what, one punt? And he's not caught about 3 that he should have. He's ran 9, and the rest are fair caught. How is that bad? |

| 28 weeks 1 day ago | Ron Zook DPOTW |
Ron Zook Dumb Punt of the Week goes to Mark Dantionio for punting on 4th and 2 on the Nebraska 42 with ~1:20 left and no Nebraska timeouts left. Make that and it's game over. |

| 29 weeks 2 days ago | Yeah, I know what you're |
Yeah, I know what you're saying. I think you check to a speed out (I think that's what it's called, opposite cut of a slant) so you're running away from the defender while the wide guy is running a deep route to clear. |
| 29 weeks 4 days ago | Yeah. One play absolutely |
Yeah. One play absolutely points this out: MSU has 9 guys in the box and are not covering the slot receiver! How do you not check to a quick pass? It's a free first down and if he beats one guy in space, a touchdown. |
| 29 weeks 5 days ago | Two things nearly cost us the |
Two things nearly cost us the game: playcalling in the first half, and the fake punt. Thank God MSU scored right off the bat in the second half. I feel that forces Borges to open up the playbook a little. It didn't help much, but we did get moving a little better on offense, pushing MSU's possessions back toward their side of the field. Giving the enemy the ball on the 40-50 is not good for our health, Michigan Defense or not. |
