|8 hours 17 min ago||that's all very true||
It shouldn't be a rule though. These kids are already getting paid, the NCAA has no chance of ever making a dent in the filth of recruiting. Just...let the schools do stuff like this. It's not hurting anyone
|12 hours 58 min ago||The jazz are much, much worse||
Like, an enormous amount worse. I'm not sure any player on the Jazz would start for the Piston's as currently constructed. It's hard to find any that would make the rotation. Burke, Favors...maybe Hawyard? Maybe Burks?
|13 hours 5 min ago||This will be hilarious||
In a few years when NIcholson is an all big ten performer that the staff whiffed on in order to miss out on Hand and McDowell then give a schollie to a longshapper.
Yes, this is overly negative on purpose, although honestly I wouldn't be shocked. Surprised sure, but not shocked.
|1 day 6 hours ago||Why the fuck do i come here anyway||
This....is some stupid ass shit. You oversimplify peoples complaints, picking out the loudest and dumbest and drowing out legit criticism to be made of a team that has been pretty damn dissapointing, turning it into basically 2 lines of fuckwits throwing their own shit at each other. Acting like this or any Michigan team is above criticism is just...well it's just fucking dumb.
|1 day 7 hours ago||I'm gonna steal a line from Dana White||
Don't let the ref's decide it. Michigan should have had that game in hand and they collapsed, because 2013 is terrible and can someone PLEASE sacrifice that chicken already?!
|1 day 7 hours ago||Oh...wrong....||
Pistons pick is top 8 protected, if they were to tank they would almost surely have gotten that pick.
Maybe try and get the facts straight before you call people ignorant.
|1 day 7 hours ago||This is....so fucking dumb||
Like, you've been pretty on point through most of this thread, then you've gotta say the one most stupid thing ANY piston fan goes to, which is "Darko was a bad pick but I'll take the title"
As if Dumars had seen this shit, in his magical fucking crystal ball, and picked a shit player because it knew it would set them up for 1 championship through a series of incredibly specific scenarios. Fuck that, it was a shit pick and he should have taken one of Bosh or Melo. This ridiculous fucking notion that Dumars gets credit for fucking up in such an incredibly specific way that it somehow won the Piston's a title is the most asinine thing in Detroit sports.
|2 days 8 hours ago||If we lose to KState||
It might break whatever system you use to figure this out. Not because a loss in that bowl would be particularly surprising, but any because any KState win is basically Macguyvered together by Bill Snyder out of 3 paperclips and a clicky pen. You would look back at the game, Michigan will have won the turnover battle by 3, outgained them by 300 yards, and somehow lost by 1 after giving up 8 safeties on special teams.
|2 days 8 hours ago||This....is fucking stupid||
He could be, or much more likely he could be a pretty good collegiate WR because generally recruit rankings play out on the field. So it would be unwise of the coaches to cut ties because of some petty, childish feeling of getting slighted by a fucking 17 year old kid who isn't falling all over himself to play for a goddamn 7 win Big 10 team.
|2 days 16 hours ago||I would have loved to see this||
Not because of any anti-Valenti schadenfruede, but because I'm a very curious person and have never seen someone react to a steak induced flame injury. Does one get to skip out on the bill if this happens? Did he try and douse the fire with his drink? How did the waiter react? Is there protocol at the restaurant for this?
|6 days 12 hours ago||They can look at Auburn all they want||
They can take some of those blocking schemes and route combinations and implement them directly into the offense next year and drill them to death, and it won't matter, because Gus Malzahn is a freaking offensive genius and Al Borges is.....Al Borges...
|6 days 13 hours ago||There is a pretty big coaching difference though||
Regardless of how you feel about Borges/Funk, they can't coach well enough to sniff Malzahn's jock strap.

Michigan should add "just wait until next year" to the fight song
I....didn't have a comeback...they should
|3 weeks 4 days ago||I will be STUNNED||
If Michigan keeps it that close in either the OSU or Bowl game.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||....lolwut?||
He's the 3rd highest paid OC in the country and has managed to put together one of the worst units in Michigan history. I mean....it isn't all on him, but shit, he damn sure isn't doing a good job
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Oh...you have not yet begun to see flight tracking||
Just watch when the Texas job opens up. Fuck online flight tracking, there will be fans with makeshift spy drones set to follow and record the movements of every decent coach in football due to an incredibly elaborate scheme where they implant every one of them with GPS tracking chips.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Get your gloves and boots||
He is, right behind Chad Morris and Cam Cameron, respectively. He's somewhere aroung 660,000 a year, I believe.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Chat sports||
is the same site as Ace Williams is from. Please do not post any content from that site, it's all complete bullshit
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Regardless of on field performance||
Yes, yes I would like to see a head coach eat one of his assistants corpses in a press conference. Don't you dare say you wouldn't watch that. Don't even try to pretend if you saw a link that read "BREAKING: Head Football Coach beheads assistant and devours his still warm heart (VIDEO)" you wouldn't click on it.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||It's not right||
But I get it. That folksy, regular guy bullshit works great if you're winning, but hoooooly hell does it makes you seem fucking dumb when you aren't.
|4 weeks 2 days ago||I still say||
We throw infinity dollars at Alex Gibbs to sprinkle some of his magic offensive line dust over our guards.
Please note that this is as good of a solution as I can come up with, as even though I will criticize the staff for failing to put together a coherent offensive gameplan, I have no idea how to address the various root causes for it or even really what percentage each of the obvious causes contributes to the various offensive woes. As far as I know, the entire reason we're terrible is because Funk does not possess the magical Alex Gibbs pixie dust.
|4 weeks 2 days ago||He is....||
SON OF BEEFTANK!!!
relevant link for relevance:
|4 weeks 4 days ago||He is third highest paid OC||
Highest in the Big Ten, but significantly behind the 2 ahead of him. Morris makes like, 1.3 million a year, and a name I'm sure everyone is familiar with, or will be if Borges does get canned. Cam Cameron makes 1.1 million. They are the top 2 paid assistants in College FB, with maybe 2 more that make over a million a year, I think Chavis and Smart.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||Screens||
Pretty much any screen is less reliant on blocking then most plays, especially bubble screens as they stay away from the interior of the defense. Anything where you roll the QB out also helps a little, moving the pocket around can minimize blocking problems, as can quick throws.
I mean, look, it's not entirely on Borges, but to say "there are no plays which minimize the importance of blocking" is....just fucking dumb. Now, can Michigan run those plays? No, not even with the minimized emphasis on blocks. Part of that is still on the coaches though, because it's their job to get players ready, and they haven't done that.
I think even the most ardent supporters of our coaching staff realize that Funk needs to go, and at the very least Hoke should take a long look at whether Borges gives this team the best chance to compete for conference titles in the future. It's not just about drawing plays up that work on a whiteboard, it's about getting players to run them well, and this offensive staff has done a piss poor job of preparing the players for gameday, and has made just enough boneheaded playcalling decisions to get people to complain about them.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||Leonard Fournette isn't coming here though||
And Hand, while very highly ranked by everyone, ain't the number one recruit.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||It was a bit of a breaking point||
People heard a Nebraska player say the offense was predictable, and with -21 rushing yards, who were we to question him?
Then Hoke just says "He's wrong" when asked about it?
Well, Brady, you managed 13 points and less than 200 yards against a team that pretty much everyone else has bombed for 450 plus and 40. You're gonna have to give us a little more than "he's wrong" or we're gonna assume you're blowing smoke up our asses.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||Brady Hoke as Rick Grimes||
"Well...we did things....and stuff...."
|5 weeks 3 days ago||To be fair||
Michigan did get absolutely bombed and run out of the stadium the last 2 weeks, then one of the defensive players from Nebraska came out and said they knew what plays Michigan was running.
Borges isn't doing a good job, it's that simple. It's not all playcalling or predictability, but it's part of it, and as much it makes sense to seperate the process from the results, at some point the results are so bad it's hard to imagine the process is any good.
-21 rushing yards, against a team that gave up over 200 to wyoming, and south dakota state...I mean...how is that a good job by anyone remotely associated with the offense?
|5 weeks 3 days ago||Oh, you are so very wrong||
GREG MO'FUCKING DAVIS!!!!
I'm calling it, Borges is fired, Michigan hires Greg Fucking Davis, finishes the year as the first team in NCAA history to have a negative yardage total on offense.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||You don't get credit for learning from failure||
when you haven't done any learning.
When Michigan's offense shows it can look like something resembling a very bad offense instead of an absolute dumpster fire, then praise them.
Right now, I see an offense that has been bad all season and has continued to get worse. Failute can be a learning experience, but the key word in there is CAN and it certainly didn't look like anyone learned anything the last 2 weeks. Right now, it's just failure, and if you fail at a high level, expect to be criticized.
