You also have a marquee matchup with Miami (ytm) coming to town the second week of the season. |

Not sure if I qualify as a jackass, but I thought the opportunity at Toledo was unbelievable. Returning 3 all conference receivers, good o line, RBs will be good again, pass happy offense. |
3 weeks 5 days ago | The next "big payoff" isn't |
The next "big payoff" isn't going to one-and-dones, it's consistently getting top 40-80 guys. Michigan is getting 60-130 type guys in the recent past and occassionally a higher rated player. If they can get to that next tier, Michigan will be a perennial power. |

For the record, FSU went with Forest when CJ Walker pulled a groin. I disagree with Cofer on the SIBMIHHAT metric. Michigan should be very mad if he starts hitting threes. He's an extremely streaky shooter, as most of FSU's players are. Angola has been solid all season; Savoy has really come on in the second half of the season. MJ Walker is a solid player who is going to be a top player in the conference the new few years, he's just been struggling recently. This game is a great matchup for Wagner as the only big FSU has that can stick with him is Kabengele. |

Can't understand why Gonzaga went away from the zone. FSU has struggled all year against the zone. |
4 weeks 3 days ago | I live in Tallahassee; I've been to a few games |
I live in Tallahassee; I've been to a few games this year. They turn the ball over a ton and don't shoot the ball from 3 very well. Somehow, they're a team that figures out how to win. They play pretty solid defense. They're long and athletic, but I think Michigan matches up really well with them. It always seems like someone different is stepping up every game. They are very streaky shooting the ball. Angola is probably their most clutch guy, which should be an interesting matchup for Z. |

4 weeks 5 days ago | Interesting thing I noticed |
Interesting thing I noticed while watching that "Last 90 seconds" video: when Devin Davis hit both free throws to give Houston a 1 point edge at 62-61, he actually should have been called for a lane violation on both shots. The first one was really bad and it looked like the ref at the bottom walked up and said something to him about it. The second free throw was really close, and I can understand it not being called live, but he did enter the lane before the ball hit the rim. Free Throw 1 2nd Free Throw |

Still surprised Toledo hasn't been involved. Pass friendly offense that is in desperate need of a qb and is returning 3 of the conference's top receivers. |

Did the NCAA just give the go ahead to allow "impermissible" benefits? I mean, if you can just pay them back on the off chance you get caught and receive no punishment, then why not? |

This is why they have dual drives, or in some cases more than one bay in laptops. Get an SSD to run the OS and programs on and leave your files on a secondary drive. And then if you have other computers at the house, share those drives and have them back up automatically. I realize this doesn't help you now, but going forward you won't lose everything. |

There are studies that conclude that having a master's or phd doesn't equate to a higher quality teacher. Higher ed aside, the biggest problem is that we don't reward highly effective teachers. There is zero competition for their skillset. Teacher quality has the largest impact on student's education, moreso than any other factor. If we want to fix education, we should focus on measures to increase teacher quality. |

Actually, we spend a lot of money on education. We just happen to spend it on things that don't actually make education better. Look no further than how far teaching has fallen as a profession the past 30-40 years. |
11 weeks 5 days ago | Also, the $7 for cream puff |
Also, the $7 for cream puff games are the price you pay from the University from the time they're released up until gametime at the ticket booth. The #2 team in the nation (UVA) is coming to town next week and tickets are available for $15. The closest comparable team left on Michigan's schedule is Ohio State with tickets for $30. I'm not saying Michigan needs to cut their prices in half for those big games, but games like Iowa @ for $20, why would anyone pay that much to see that game? And especially those tomato can games; there's no reason those shouldn't be $10 or less from the ticket office. |
11 weeks 5 days ago | Yeah, Crisler also has 1,600 |
Yeah, Crisler also has 1,600 more seats. FSU is also a legit football school. The last time they won a regular season conference championship, they were part of the Metro Conference (1989). They have one Final Four appearance in their program's history (1972). Contrast that with Michigan's 7 appearances, 5 runner ups, and one national championship. |
11 weeks 5 days ago | The answer is the price of |
The answer is the price of tickets. I saw Duke @ FSU for $40 last year. That was secondary market too; face was $20. We've been to home games against Miami, Louisville, and North Carolina so far this year. Cost us about $80 for two tickets for the three games. These weren't even way up in the rafters tickets either. We had great seats on the baseline. Powder puff games are $7. |
11 weeks 5 days ago | If you make tickets |
If you make tickets affordable enough so that it doesn't cost a couple hundred to take your family to a game, you'd be able to fill it every game. |
11 weeks 5 days ago | FSU is not a traditionally |
FSU is not a traditionally good basketball school, but has been in the top 25 each of the past two years. Powder puff games are $7. BIgger games are around $20, but can be had for less. We purchased a 3 game pack of two tickets for $80. Saw Louisville, UNC, and Miami. We also attend some women's games. Just saw ND (both teams are top 10) for $1. Broke the attendance record for the women's program. Typically, tickets are $6 for them. |

Kinda like baseball, how you've got a Tuesday mid week matchup on the road and then a 3 game series on the road Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and then a Tuesday/Wednesday homegame? 2nd semester always was a blur during season. Studying on the bus ride to/from games. |

Who? They only played two other qbs this year. One was a senior and the other completed just as many passes to the other team as he did to his teammates. Toledo would be a perfect fit for a QB looking for a one year run. |

Should go to Toledo. With Cody Thompson announcing he's coming back for a 5th year, they'll have 3 of the most talented receivers in the league. Wilton will get plenty opportunity to display his skill set. Toledo also gets Miami (ytm) coming to town. |
