Where were the doctors? A player comes off the field hurt and isn't seen by any medical staff? Or, he was seen, which looked like what happed on the video, and was cleared to play?

Would love to get others input as well. Haven't put up and bets this year as I didn't do any homework in the summer.

UM certainly isn't getting the media hype like they were for 2007, but I think it's a bit early to say this years team isn't as good or better. They have the talent to be better. I hope they are.

Tropicana Field has got to be one of the worst places to see a baseball game. They need a new place bad. I'm also not a fan of Raymond James Stadium. I've been there for a few college games (ACC Championship, UM Bowl game vs. South Carolina). The field is like 100 yards from the first row of seats. You just feel detached from the game.

Wasn't the knock on him that he was a little too light for the position. It looks like he's up to 299 lbs. from 290 last year. That could be all the difference for him.

This was my fifth Michigan game, fourth in the Big House, first Ohio game. We flew up from Tampa to go to the game. There was just this excitement and electricity in the air like nothing I've ever experienced at a Michigan game. I was quite disappointed with the large amount of red in the stadium that day. The team put up a great effort that day.

I've always been a fan of Gary Pinkel. Runs a good, clean program. Would have loved to see him at UM in 2008. I have also always respected Mark Richt.

There are idiots in every fanbase. My girlfriend and I went to The Game this past year and got yelled at by a couple young michigan fans because we were driving a car with Ohio plates. I guess the both of us decked out in Michigan gear wasn't clue enough. It made me sick to see how much red was inside the stadium.

I'm not pretending anything. I was just correcting his, obviously, flawed data. I agree that there haven't been any signature wins on the road the past few years. I still think it's too early to make a decision on Hoke either way. Ideally, he'd have two more years to show that the program is moving in the right direction. I don't think the Michigan fanbase, as a whole, is patient enough.

What's wrong with the stipend that they already get if they live off campus? When I was in school, athletes had plenty of spending money after rent/utilities.

I don't understand Malik Henry as a dual threat. Is it because he is fairly mobile and can move the pocket? The two runs in his highlights were pretty unimpressive. I liked his arm, good touch, good strength. He seemed to have a good understanding of his offense as he was able to pick up his other receivers.

Unless the sport itself is a limiting factor to being employed. I played baseball in college and we were expected to play summer ball. That means 2.5 months of traveling to away games by bus and/or being away from "home". In terms of football, aren't most of the players taking classes and practicing still? I'd imagine the summer months would be just as busy, if not more than, during the normal school year.
I'm not in favor of paying players as I believe they already get enough. Most of the guys I knew in revenue sports in college would get a check from the athletic department every month for about $1200-$1300. Take away rent and utilities, and most months, they have $800+ for spending money.

It helps if you have a big man that can do damage at the top of the key, which Michigan may or may not have in Donnal.

Yes, I can confirm was he said. I've said this on here before as well. If you live off campus, you get a monthly check to cover the cost of living. I attended a MAC school from 2002-2007 and players on full scholarship would get about $1200 a month to cover those costs.

How much money are they already receiving from the Athletic Department?
When I was in school, most of the full-ride scholarship athletes that lived off campus were receiving checks for $1200. Split $1000 rent 5 ways and you've got a grand to live off of every month. Seems like plenty to me.
How much do you think you could realistically pay players?
