Mathews has a game with 27% usage and 85 ORTG, which people have figured for weeks would be the reason we finally lose... and we win by 13. I’ll take it

Ball was below the rim! How Ball was below the rim! How can that possibly be goaltending!?

Bellevue = Boringvue

Moved out to Seattle about 5 months ago on really short notice for a job in Redmond/Bellevue. Had the opportunity to see that area one day before I had to choose between Seattle proper and the Eastside and that was all I needed.

As a mid-20s guy, Seattle proper is 100% the way to go, so much more character and unique things to do/places to go around every corner. Find some roommates through work or elsewhere (if needed for financial reasons) and move to Capitol/First Hill. Queen Anne, Ballard, Fremont are cool neighborhoods too but that's an extra 10-15 mins to the commute. The commute, whether it's driving or public transit, seems awful at first, but it's the reality and 100% worth it if you ever want to go out IMHO

Natty Light

14 yrs old, freshman in highschool. It was a Natty Light, procured through the classic friend's-sister's-friend-who-isn't-21-but-at-least-has-a-fake method. Drank it in my friend's basement, I thought it was so gross I stopped at one and didn't even try drinking again for over a year until my dad let me have an Oberon left over from his work party. 14 years later I don't think I've ever stopped at one again.

Once he's enrolled and on

Once he's enrolled and on campus, the school, whichever one it is, will finally be allowed to comment officially, right?

When is that going to happen?

The WR for Bama is Calvin The WR for Bama is Calvin Ridley, not Cameron. Only correcting you because my name is Calvin (not Ridley, probably) and you'd be surprised how many people call me Cameron.

I'm from Kzoo, and this is

I'm from Kzoo, and this is all hearsay so believe what you want, but while WMU's athletic budgest would never be able to afford this, Western does have a surprising (for a directional MAC school) amount of deep-pocketed donors willing to put up for Fleck's salary.

IMO not a great move, since the end game here is what, becoming a MAC powerhouse? Not worth 3M a year.

I know it's fun to poke Mark

I know it's fun to poke Mark Digiorno for being so singularly focused on Michigan (and still getting his ass beat) and using this set of plays here at the potential cost of a win somewhere else, as has been pointed out a couple times now. But I can't agree that he should have saved this for anyone else. A demoralizing pound-it-down-M's-throat opening drive like this would have really caught a slightly lesser team off guard. If Staee exectues this then gets a bit of luck on a turnover or quick stop (a longshot but that's why they play the games) they've got their biggest rival on its heels worried once again about bad rivalry juju.

Thankfully we still beat their ass and it didn't matter, but there is/was no better time for a team like MSU to run this drive at all this season.

Plenty of people on here Plenty of people on here assuming they'd get waxed by a good P5 team if they made a NY6 bowl, and that may be true. But how can you really know? If they go undefeated and make it look relatively easy from here on out you have to give them a chance, no? They can only play the games that are scheduled.

The other argument that no one would watch WMU game since they're a small school, people love the little guy underdog taking on the big boys. That and WMU has been getting a decent amount of attention on ESPN lately due to their unprecedented (for them) success. I know I'd watch (though I'm from Kzoo so maybe I'm not the best example of regular cfb fan in this case)

Student allotment gone

Spent 2 hrs this morning getting people to committ so I could buy 4 tix and now it looks like the student allotment of $35 tix is gone... Damn it!  Can still buy unlimited amount of $90 tix, but I'd rather play the secondary market than pay that.

Ever since my parents became Ever since my parents became empty nesters a few years ago, they've punted on the traditional Thanksgiving celebrations. So tomorrow morning, we'll all drive from kzoo to Chicago with some family friends for our new tradition, the delicious all you can eat Thanksgiving dinner from Mike Ditka's restaurant. We've been enough years in a row now that we don't even need to remind them to seat us near a TV with Lions game on. Then Friday we join the madhouse on Michigan Ave for Black Friday shopping. It's more fun than you'd think!
Every family has their own traditions, and every year I learn to be more thankful for mine, however non-traditional they are. You really never do know how many more times everyone will be there to celebrate.

Oh and Saturday I'll be at The Game, so there's that to look forward to too! GO BLUE!!

Before reading about how

Before reading about how Frantz made the game-winner the next year, especially when talking about the pizza place that changed their marquee, my thoughts were: This guy must have been the inspiration for Ray Finkle/Lois Einhorn in Ace Ventura! I found myself sadistically hoping the story took that turn

So the B1G looks like it will So the B1G looks like it will be a big pillow fight this year... Except Staee, ugh
18-13

18-13 Michigan

Is that again going to come courtesy of an intentional PSU safety after wasting ridiculous amounts of clock?

Why not another posbang!? I Why not another posbang!? I need at least 2 to express my excitement!
Grand Haven beach I'll be camping on the beach in Grand Haven. And by camping I mean staying in my aunt's rather fancy camper. It's more small mobile cottage than tent, but you won't find me complaining. The weekend is sure to include plenty of the 4 B's: beach, boats, BBQ, and beers.
Warning: Cool story bro below

I had the opportunity to attend the Big Brothers Big Sisters event last night that Coach Carr was at. Before dinner, I had the chance to introduce myself and chat with him for a few minutes. I had planned on quickly mentioning that I'm in my 8th year at UM (undergrad + PhD will do that to you) before talking football and memories of the old days. Instead Coach steered the conversation toward the state of academia in the state and country. We each had our 2 cents to share about it and ended up talking about that for the entire time, before I ended by mentioning that my fandom began when attending my first game, 1997 vs. Iowa, a comeback win that he remembered as "a pivotal game" that season.

And no, I didn't ask for a selfie with him.

M00B Wouldn't it be M00B? Even more embarrassing, glad it's no more
Don't the refs know they're Don't the refs know they're giving the makeup call to the wrong team from Michigan? And 2 years too late
The Spike assist

Bullets on yesterday's game and no mention (or gif) of the Spike behind-the-head assist!? I mean it was only one play but it was one I could watch/talk about until at least next season when he does something like it again.

I understand the ESPN hate,

I understand the ESPN hate, their commentary, bias, etc. is terrible. But ESPN is in another league when it comes to streaming and watching on mobile. It is unbelievably annoying that NBC sports live extra doesn't have native chromecast built-in yet (BTN2go desperately needs this too). IMO, I'd prefer ESPN until the other broadcasters can match watchESPN in capability/reliability.

Bluster I think Brian mentioned this in UV yesterday. This consideration seems like purely bluster to try to put pressure on the pro leagues, namely the NBA, to change up their one-and-done rules which the NCAA and especially the big ten hate. If freshman are ineligible, they can't very well go pro after one year in college unless they were good enough coming out of hs in which case there's no way they'd waste a year not playing competitively before becoming eligible for the draft.
Or how about him becoming a

Or how about him becoming a leader on the team and earning the title of "Captain Falcon". At RB, you could even see a Falcon Punch into the endzone

Cbssports.com should let you Cbssports.com should let you stream it free. Worked for the state game for me last weekend
Not the program, just this Not the program, just this year's team. Doesn't change the frustration but it's not exactly doom and gloom for the foreseeable future
Tougher? It's going to be tougher to pull out a win? The game went to OT. Not sure how it could be tougher, unless you're already conceding the loss in AA
Getting out of the cold this Getting out of the cold this weekend, off to sunny South Florida. Going to find myself somewhere on the water Sunday to cheer on Wolverines past and present. Go Blue! Go Pats!
I like this idea

This would hopefully ensure Wilson never has to play 5, and Donnal would only get sparing minutes there with most of them coming at the 4. It would certainly help the defense and on offense the key would be getting consistent shooting from them, which is certainly plausible.  It also moves Dawkins/Irvin to 3 exclusively, another big plus.

That being said, Coach B said we'd see this sort of two-big lineup when we had Morgan/McGary/Horford but that never materialzed. Still think it'd be much more likely in this case as Donnal and especially Wilson are so much more suited for the 4, even in Beilein's system.

Levert not in the lottery

If there's consensus that he's not in the lottery that significantly gets my hopes up that he'd return for what could be a damn good year next year. Am I wrong to think him falling out of the lottery is a pretty big deal? Especially when it wouldn't seem to be hard for him to work his way back in during his senior season.

I first read it on the board But now the story is being picked up by all the local news here in AA-detroit area. Have seen it on local 4 and fox 2.
I remember reading from a

I remember reading from a thread a couple days ago that early enrollment, for Rosen specifically, already happened. It shouldn't matter anyway though, doesn't a head coaching change cause an easing of transfer rules?

Shitter's full? Shitter's full?
Smang it! Three gifs in a row of Flynt Flossy dancing. Fine by me, quad post away!
Taking my talents and good Taking my talents and good luck to the cesspit of East Lansing tomorrow! If the team wants to use either of those thing coach hoke feel free to give me a call.

Let's Go Blue!!!!
No As fans, we can speak out against the coach and AD, but we absolutely can not bash players. Some of those in the fanbase choose to do so but they are idiotic and wrong.
But it goes both ways, DB and Hoke can come out and tell us fans to stop being so whiny and fair weather (let's imagine how that would go!) but the players really shouldn't venture into that territory. We don't understand their situation, they don't understand ours.
Right Their scouting (or lack thereof) of Utah's D seemed contrary to what I've read here. No mention of being undersized, inexperienced, position switch starters or anything. To be expected for a game that only becomes notable in espn's eyes if we lose
I thought they were I thought they were especially harsh in their longer than expected segment they did on Michigan. Seriously guys, it's not that bad!
BANG!!

BANG! goes Frank Clark right into the App St QBs chest.

BANG! goes Jabrill Peppers as he breaks the sound barrier returning a punt to the house

Coachspeak

This is as coach-y as coachspeak gets, and has been said in some capacity in a majority of pressers I've read. We could be undefeated and heading into the national champ game (it could happen!) and the coaches would say  things like "we're not where we need to be" and "if we don't continue to improve we won't succeed" etc.
