Games are still going on. There's another game tomorrow too, so I would guess the polls will be updated on Tuesday.

Michigan won, Stoke City beat Man City, I'm drunk, all is good and right with the world. Go Blue.

Only one more day to Michigan Football. Today will be the longest day of the year.

Small world. Did you check out Snake River Brewing (Pakos IPA is a hidden gem) and Grand Teton Brewing (would have had to cross the pass to Victor, Idaho for this)?

I live in Cobb county, so the Braves moving there sounds like a pain in the ass to me. There will be no MARTA to the stadium, and the 75/285 Junction there is already a mess. They should have stayed in the same area, and developed the surrounding area like they've said they would do for the past 2 decades. That area where Turner and old Fulton county are/were located is coming around, but needs a bit more money, and attention.

The Arena Auditorium's (where Wyoming plays basketball) video/audio system is the most laughable system of its sort in sports at that level. The atmosphere is actually pretty awesome, but when the starting lineups music (Alan Parsons, Bulls crap) started I let out a rather loud laugh amid silence by the fans.

Yeah, Turner Field isn't old. However, the area that the stadium is in is just terrible. Hell, as someone who's lived in Atlanta for a collective 16 years, Atlanta is just terrible.

Funny you ask if any Thai restaurant has good beer. If you are ever in Jackson, WY I suggest a place called Thai Me Up. Great food, world class beer (that they brew themselves, plus other good offerings).

I'm personally looking forward to Saturn, the BA Barleywine. Mars is supposed to come in to bottle shops here in GA next week, and I hope to grap a 6 pack.

I decided to have a Cigar City Jai Alai as well. This just took over as my favorite IPA (not DIPA) overtaking Ballast Point Sculpin.

I got lucky. A local growler bar had been saving a keg. I would like to be able to pick up a couple of the BC varieties on Black Friday.

To my eye he takes one step, lowers his head and hits him. That deserves a penalty to me (a Lions fan), but not front page ESPN coverage, the typical "OMG he's pure evil" sort of banter, or a fine.

I am sipping on a delicious glass of Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Barleywine. It's my first time having it, and it lives up to the hype. Probably going to have a Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier with dinner, and then have the other glass of the BSBB afterwords as a nightcap.

I just came upon some Goose Island Bourbon Country Brand Barleywine. That plus the Simpsons marathon makes for a perfect afternoon.

My favorite club is Stoke City. They're located in the county from where I get my family name, so I decided a few years back to pull for them. I see another top 10 finish, somewhere in the 7-10 range.

I had my first beers since the NFC championship game in January tonight. Had one Dirt Wolf and a Sculpin. I missed IPAs.

I had a bad experience with acetaminophen a couple years back while following a doctor's/prescription's orders. Extreme dizziness, nausea, and what felt like fading in and out of consciousness. I don't know if it was a sensitivity to the drug or the amount the doctor was having me take, but I felt like I was going to die. I now stay away from any pain medication of any sort.

Their IPA is the only offering that I enjoy these days. However, Sweetwater was my introduction to craft brew, and there was a time when I really really enjoyed a 420. Palates change I suppose. If I'm going to enjoy a local Georgia brew, it'll be a Terrapin. What do you all think of some of the newer breweries in the area like Red Hare, Monday Night, etc.?

I like the trade. Relief pitching in the playoffs now looks like: Smyly in the 7th, Joba in the 8th, and Soria closing. That looks a helluva lot better to me than with Nathan closing.

Jackson, Wyoming is probably my favorite place in the United States. Absolutely beautiful, tons to do and see, great restaurants, and a brewery as well. The Tetons are insane to see up close, and their prominence and the rate at which they rise takes you back. For those that are up to the challenge you can also climb the Grand Teton. Also, Yellowstone is just to the North, and the Wind Rivers (more great scenery and fly fishing) are to the East.

Beautiful area, and it's funny that you mention the Leadville 100 as it is on my list of "dream races" to participate in. One day, maybe.

I've seen those four bands more times than I care to admit. I'm debating going to see Phish in Charlotte this Friday. They are always a good time, and from the recordings I've heard of this summer tour so far, they sound on point. Add to the fact that "Fuego" is their best studio effort in a long time, and they are a must see for me this summer.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||Another Hip Hop||
Another Hip Hop recommendation, the Dr. Octagon (Kool Keith w/ Dan the Automator) album Dr. Octagonecologyst. Strange, trippy, weird alt-hip hop. The beats and lyrics are different, but gripping and very different from anything you've heard.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||Some artists that I've been||
Some artists that I've been listening to a lot lately and recommend.
Hip Hop: Hieroglyphics, Deltron 3030, The Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, Wu Tang Clan (and solo albums), Outkast, Joey Badass, etc.
Rock: My Morning Jacket, Black Keys, Wilco, Morphine, The Black Crowes, The Velvet Underground, The Allman Brothers Band (especially given their retirement this year), Primus, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin (re-mastered ablums are worth it with the bonus material), The Wood Brothers, Frank Zappa (start with the album Hot Rats or Joe's Garage and work your way through his stranger material. Amazing artist), and The Band
Jazz: Mahavishnu Orchestra (Holy Fusion), Medeski Martin and Wood, Coltrane, etc.
Bluegrass/Country: Ryan Bingham, Railroad Earth, the Infamous Stringdusters
Funk: Parliament and Funkadelic, the New Mastersounds, Herbie Hancock (Head Hunters stuff), Lettuce, the Meters, and Galactic.
