the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

| 16 weeks 8 hours ago | Rank Metropolitan Market |
Rank Metropolitan Market Regions / Areas 27 of top 50 and 8 out of top 11. Missing: LA, SF, Boston, Phoenix, Seattle, Tampa-St Petersburg, Miami, Denver, Orlando, Sacramento, Portland out of the top 25. For comparison: SEC has 3 in top 10 and is missing 30 of the top 50. |

Pods: SW: Texas, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa NW: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Purdue, Illinois, NW MW: UM, MSU, OSU, Indiana, Rutgers SE: Ga Tech, UNC, UVA, MD, PSU

| 16 weeks 9 hours ago | Delaney's master plan vs SEC |
Delaney's master plan to dominate and surround SEC territory while pleasing the presidents with extremely respected AAU universities. The only wild-card is Texas and their whole ordeal. It is hard to find a replacement... I would think Duke followed by long-shots Vanderbilt and Florida. SEC will counter in similar states but will be left with sub-par athletic performers (NC State, Kansas State, VTech vs UNC, Kansas, UVA). At that point I would see a Big12-ACC merger very probable: Florida State, Clemson, West Virginia, TTech, TCU, Ok St, UO, Baylor, Pitt, Cuse, Cinci, Lousville, Uconn, Miami, BC, BYU?, Wake Forest, Iowa State, etc) This gives the B1G the flagship state school in 16 states plus Northwestern, Purdue, MSU, and Georgia Tech (debatable), with major recruiting beds in the Midwest, East, South/Texas, while smothering the SEC and taking their prime territory and markets. TV $$$$$, Research $$$$$= everyone is happy.... Now if only Nebraska would get back in the AAU. |
| 17 weeks 4 days ago | Upcoming sports that |
Upcoming sports that rankings have began:
M Track S 15 M n/a
W Track S 13 M 19
M Swim S 8 M 1
W Swim S 7 M 24
Wrestling S n/a M 11
M BBall S n/a M 5
W BBall S 6 M 25
W Gym S 12 M 2
M Gym S 5 M 2
W Water Polo S 2 M 13
M VBall S 3 M n/a
Looks like we actually might be in for a race. We are each leading head-to-head in 5 upcoming sports in which rankings are out. Lots of points to be scored in the spring with Softball, Baseball, Rowing, Lacrosse, Outdoor Track, and Golf. Michigan and Stanford are likely to score a lot of points in nearly all of these sports. Could Hockey, of all M sports, be the one that brings us down??? |

lived in the "student ghetto" for my 3 years post bursley and heard the band all throughout the season. we always knew what they were going to play at half time. i specifically remember grilling with friends on Sybil and listening to them play tunes from Super Mario Bros one day. |
| 47 weeks 2 days ago | vs. ND |
in 2011-2012 we played ND in: baseball twice (1-1), beat them by 1 place in the Great Lakes Regional in Men's Cross Country (1-0), beat them in Football (1-0), Ice Hockey (3-1), M Soccer (0-1 OT), M Swimming (1-0), M Tennis L 3-4 (0-1), W Golf L at ND Tourney (0-1), Softball W (1-0), W Swimming (1-0), W Tennis (1-0), Water Polo W 20-4 (1-0)....
So.... we do play them often in a lot of olympic sports... by my rough estimates (I'm sure I'm missing some), and we went 11-5 head-to-head. I would like to see more basketball series, though. Hopefully a rivalry can be born in lacrosse, because ND has some solid teams in both men's and women's. |
| 1 year 3 weeks ago | The band will be there one |
The band will be there one way or another. This is perfect timing.... summer about to start, rile everyone up and enough donors to cough up the money so the AD doesn't have to pay. The bad press will be over by the end of the summer and everyone will look like heroes for getting the "costly" band to Dallas. If for some strange reason no one coughs up enough money, I'm sure there is a back up plan. I would be SHOCKED if the band isn't there. I do have a question though, has anyone e-mailed DB directly and gotten a response? I haven't but I have gotten a response to every e-mail in the past. |

softball definitely off, they have won the last 4 CC's I believe, and have over 11 total |
| 1 year 13 weeks ago | BTT seeding |
Hypothetical:
If we win out, OSU beats MSU... we all finish 12-4 and 1-1 vs each other. How does seeding work for BTT? |
| 1 year 15 weeks ago | They are definitely near the |
They are definitely near the top of my list of Michigan teams I enjoy following..... they will creep up into the top 10 as usual... with a good mix of a somewhat easy schedule, compared to west coast teams, and their typical good showing against the top 10 teams on their non-conf schedule for the big tourneys... I feel like they get hurt by the b1g schedule because it puts them into a lull before the big games heat up again for regionals.... |
| 1 year 15 weeks ago | I don't post much, but I will |
I don't post much, but I will be attending the award ceremony. I live in the area, my family is friendly with the Bell family, so when I heard Brady won, I made sure I could tag along... hopefully I'll get to say hello to Brady and whoever joins him from the Michigan entourage... |
