I'm in Utah I watched mostof Utah's games this year and Utah is not the #2 team in the country. The team we saw in the Sugar Bowl was not the team I saw all year long. The only problem is that no one else gets to watch any of Utah's games because of their TV contract. Yes they did go undefeated, and major props to them for that, but they are not the #2 team based on what I saw from Florida, USC, Oklahoma, and Texas. Just my opinion.
Pretty sure Pretty sure it was Rodriquez who made the change.  I hate this defense.
How??!!

Every week we make the opposing offense look unstoppable.  I am pissed off.  Another 49 points!!!  This offense can't score 14 points a game in conference play, yet they dominate our defense with a QB playing his second game ever.  Pathetic

Hey be careful

After this happened, I worry for you DEX.

"A Japanese woman could face a prison sentence after killing off her virtual husband in a computer game."

What has the world come to!!!???

We don't know Having all of these players decommitting is not good. But when you look at it, recruiting is the great unknown. My point is that we don't know if our recruits will even pan out. Injuries, academics, and competition happen. Is it a tough pill to swallow watching these players go somewhere else? You bet it is, but it is too early to know how things will really turn out. There is a reason these kids decommit...they don't want to go to Michigan. If they don't want to be here that is fine by me. Good luck to them. I love how the commits for 2010 are passionate about Michigan. That is how it should be.
Helmuth asked I sounds like Helmuth asked to be moved to the DL.  The kid wants to get on the field no matter where he plays.  Love it!  Whatever it takes to make the team better.
What I saw

The first half brought hope.

Sheridan brought despair.  *The safety was just terrible; a microcosm of how he has played the whole year...let's just give the other team points!

St. McGuffie FUMBLED!!!  I couldn't believe my eyes.

How much worse I know the coaches have said that Feagin is not ready, but in reality, how much worse could he be than Sheridan. Sheridan is horrible horrible horrible. I had hope until I saw #8 trot out onto the field. At least Feagin can run...Sheridan can't run or pass. I can't believe that Sheridan beat Threet out for the starting QB position at the beginning of the year.
This little receiver This little receiver went wee wee wee wee all the way home
We better learn how to practice... I think that the most frustrating thing about this year is that we have not imporved...AT ALL. Maybe we aren't as talented as previous Michigan teams, but we have a ton more talent than Toledo. The fact that this coaching staff is getting nothing from anyone other than McGuffie is beyond me. I'm not sure why any big time WR wants to come play for Michigan seeing how we utilize our WR in our offense, maybe it is because of the injuries??? I just don't understand...but we have to be patient. It will be a few years until we really know if this coaching staff is for real. Based on their track record I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Didn't realize I did this

OSU=Oregon State

tOSU=Ohio State

Sorry if that confused anyone...my bad

The Oregon State loss is on the coach Oregon State should have won this game, but the OSU coach decided to go for two after they scored in the second quarter.  The attempt failed and they were down by 5.  The next time they scored they went for two again and failed.  Why don't coaches just take the points??  I know this has been discussed here, but with 2 minutes left in this game OSU was up 28-20.  Had they taken the points they would have been up 30-20.  After Utah scored the touchdown they would have had to kick an onside kick instead of kicking it deep.  I am convinced that OSU would have won this game if they didn't go for two...TWICE!
"MU is eating this up" My favorite post..."MU is eating this up!"  Not sure who MU is...but I am sure MU loves that Coach Stew isn't running their program into the ground.
Minor!!! At first I wanted to blame Minor, but after watching it again, I put it on Threet.  Threet threw the ball to Minor's back shoulder.  It was a very poor "pass".  Minor should have caught it, but catching the ball that is thrown behind you when your momentum is going forward is very difficult.
Interesting note Athletes are allowed to sign up for classes before any of the other students. It doesn't matter if the class is open to all students at the university, if an athlete wants to get into a class then he is in the class. Classes fill up with athletes because they get first dibs. The bottom line is that this happens at every university.
Wow We looked lost and confused on offense. If that was the spread we were running, you could have fooled me. Who would have thought that we could play so poor yet have a chance to win the game. Next week will be huge for the offense's confidence. We knew the offense would struggle...but who knew the D wouldn't show up until the second half. The play that KILLED us was the INT at the end of the first half. Instead of punting and Utah running out the clock, we went down 22-10 with 15 seconds left in the half. That one hurt.
Nothing new Pretty sure they've been there all along.
Good Post Live in Utah and everything was just about spot on.  Just a note about Utah's fight song...it is one of the worst fight songs in the country.  My cousing is a die-hard Ute fan and he even hates the fight song.  Just a little bit of useless info for ya.
Interestig post Did you hear how Greg Matthews said that he wouldn't be surprised if Michigan put up 40-50 points! Let's hope he is on to something. I don't understand why we watch ESPN and all the other programs expecting to hear some "expert" analyst who is supposed to know more than we do. These guys don't know what is going to happen. They get paid to run their mouths for what??...Remember last year they predicted Louisville (and Michigan) to be battling for the NC. They tend to change their predictions on a weekly basis. They are the ultimate flip-floppers. We won't know what Michigan has until tomorrow. Only after the first few weeks can we make a educated prediction on how the season will turn out. I just don't listen to anything these so called "experts" say.
Uhh...I live in Utah I'm just telling you what I hear on the radio and in the paper.  Most people only expect Michigan to win 4 games.
Sorry... Didn't realize that I was writing something so controversial. My bad...
Oh come on... Utah is expecting to win...they aren't even saying that it is going to be close.  The Michigan name doesn't carry as much "fear" to the casual football fan.  Actually we are known as being...overrated (gasp!!! DID HE JUST SAY THAT??!!).  Lets face it, Michigan is in a position this year that they haven't been in for a very long time.  The future is bright, but outside of the Michigan fanbase, people don't expect much from this team.
I agree with you My point is that the attitude of "We are Michigan, the winningest college football program in the world!!" doesn't get us as far as it used to.  We have always been a top 25 team "powerhouse"  and this year we are the underdog.  I don't mean to blame the players, we all know they play the best they can.  I think it has to do more with the coaching philosophy and the complacency they showed.  When was the last time Michigan was expected to be bad?  That is all I meant by that.
One more question... Why is it that I have no life?  The anticipation is killing me.
AMEN!!! Boy, this is going to be tough.
Not really worried about that I'm not too concerned about Utah's QB gets gas from drinking milk.  I'm pretty shocked at how low we are ranked in that poll.  Not that it matters at all, but that puts us in the middle of the WAC, MWC, Conf USA...there is only one way to get respect...JUST WIN!!!
Heat of the moment I agree, every fanbase has a right to cheer for their team.  Everyone drinks their own Kool-Aid no matter what color, maize and blue included.  I just have no respect for Utah...now they are a rival for me because I graduated from BYU.  As much as I hate Ohio State and their fans, I can respect them and their program (for the most part), which is more than I can say about Utah...I'm sure a lot of it has to do with me still being in Utah.
I hate Utah I live in Utah , and I hate University of Utah and their fans!!! They are the biggest bandwagon fans ever. All they ever talk about is Urban Meyer and 2004. They are cocky and believe they are entitled to respect. They have no football tradition! Yet they talk as if they deserve to be in the Pac 10 because they had one good year. I would love to see us shut up these stupid fans and their cocky players. I will never ever ever hear the end of it if Utah beats Michigan.
Only the SEC... Yes, Ginn did have SEC speed, but apparently only those in the SEC are allowed to have SEC speed.  The SEC givith and the SEC taketh away.  According to the SEC, Michigan has never beaten a SEC team because the SEC is just too fast.  As for Ohio State, they just have never beaten a SEC team.
My thoughts exactly

The only way to know what kind of QB we have is to let him play.  It is funny to think back to a game that we were playing when a guy named Tom Brady was our back up.  The game was out of reach and Carr inserted Brady in a meaningless 4th quarter.  I remember the fans chanting "LET BRADY THROW!"  You really don't know what you have until the games begin.  Whether it is Threet or Sheridan I really don't care, just as long as RR lets the best QB play.

Sorry

Sorry but I don't know Spencer Britton.  If it makes you feel any better, my uncle in Ann Arbor knew him pretty well when Spencer was still at Michigan.

That is my bad about the returning starters on the OL.  I guess I was looking at the opening day starters from last year...4 returning starters is correct (although I do believe that two of them began starting midway through the season).

I am torn It always hurts losing a big time recruit, but life isn't over.  I know Rodriquez wants a QB who can run like Pat White but it is hard for me to be sold on Michigan becoming the next West Virginia.  Ideally our QB should be able to run just as well as he can pass, but if I had to choose between a running QB or a passing QB I would choose passing.  Let our stud running backs dominate the ground and our QB air it out down field.
Never said we would "roll all over Utah"

That was my whole point!  I don't think we are going to roll over them.  Trust me, they are a tough team.  I also said that we can't underestimate Utah.  They play their best against top competition.  Just wanted to point out a few strengths and weaknesses against competition that I am forced to watch almost weekly.
