When I saw Denard jamming to "The Show Goes On" during the 2nd half warm-up, I couldn't help but smile. He is truly a class act, and he has so much fun doing what he does that it is contagious.
I'd say I'm part of the Rebellion, but for a fleeting few weeks I was with "In Rod We Trusted". I'd still be seen at Blimpy Burger every pregame though.

There's something special about everyone getting on their feet as a big play develops on the field, too. It's one of my favorite feelings in the world.
Agreed. He's just telling us what he heard. And it's from an arguably major source, being one of the flagship metro area news stations. I still think it sounds sketchy; they sure didn't go into detail on it.
Can you edit the thread title? I'd change it to "Channel 4-WDIV" instead of "Sports Final Edition" to make it clearer to people who exactly is saying this. Not sure if you can edit thread titles though.

When playing a NCAA 2011 Dynasty, Michigan was still out of the Top 25 after starting 7-0. One of the fake "headlines" it showed on the ESPN News thing was "ANN ARBOR IS FURIOUS: Fans angry about snub in polls"
"Michael Forcier said his son was simply frustrated when he stood far away from Rodriguez during the game well behind the sideline.
“I talked to Tate briefly and asked him why he was pouting on the sideline with a towel over his head,” he said. “He said he was just trying to get away from the TV cameras that were trying to get him to show some emotion.”"
This makes it sound like he went to the bench with the towels BECAUSE of the cameras, which would be ironic because that's when they started to actually talk about him on ABC. Whether he's being honest or not is debatable, but they did have multiple cameras following him at that point. I would've gotten frustrated that they would turn attention to me during the end of the game too, if I were in his place.
I'm not going to be worried unless Tate isn't given snaps against UMass and BG.
The people who are really taking harsh digs at him should lay off. I'd rather him be a little upset about not getting the chance to play, than to have him be completely indifferent to playing. Should he suck it up and cheer his team on? Sure, but these are kids, and emotions run high.
He went balls-out for us last year; people shouldn't be so quick to throw him under the bus.

I'm a diehard Wings fan but I'm happy Hossa finally won a cup. We all knew going into 2008-09 that we could only afford 1 year with him, and he tried hard for us. I can't fault his playoff performance when it was revealed he had a separated shoulder or whatever for most of it. Injuries hurt us last playoffs just as they hurt us in this year's regular season. (re: Nick Lidstrom's "nearly catastrophic" testicular injury in Conference Finals vs. Chicago).
Hossa has always been a gentleman about it all; I don't think I've ever heard him act otherwise in the media and his fellow players all say he's a good guy (except for a few select d-bag Penguins). The Wings players said he was a good man, and I'm inclined to believe them. And so, good for Hossa. :)
Plus, did we really want Chris Pronger to win the Cup?
And without the usual 2nd-line stars (Franzen, Filppula, Cleary), it's even easier for teams to throw their top guys at Z/Pavel.
Hopefully January will see a turnaround in Wings karma.
Z and Pavel may seem to be struggling stat wise, but that is the Brandon Graham effect. When you're known to be a big threat, you are double-teamed early and often.
If Vinopal is as tough and hard-working as he sounds, then I am very glad to have him. Hope to see good things from him.

Point taken, but there are plenty of loudmouths on TV and the 'net who are much more... agressive about it than Tebow.
I know Tim displays his faith in much more up-front ways, but the verses on his tape to me is subtle.
