Yes, but its supposed to be because of movie tie in sales.  I think its CBS(?) has the rights to TV show/Star Trek as a whole and Paramount has the rights to the movies/has to lease the rights even though they used to be under the same umbrella. 

The TV side keeps selling "classic" merch and it has pissed JJ off because he feels its confusing to the public as those characters (obviously) do not show up in his movies (PS I'm talking Shatner as Kirk).

Wow, the MGostore is getting hammered.  Cant get anything to go through, just loads of connection timeouts and spinning circles. 

While yes, the per subscriber fee for ESPN would increase.  If TV was a strict ala carte model, I would have to think you would see these ridiculous fee's paid to the conferences start to hit a ceiling and come down (supply/demand).  Right now there is such a huge supply (subscribers) that they can afford to throw buckets of money at a conference just for the right to broadcast a random Tuesday night game but if that cost starts being shouldered by actual sports fans, expect everyone to say f*ck it I'll watch it at Bdubs (if at all).  I honestly do not think the demand is there for XX million subscribers to pony up $50 a month for just ESPN, and end up watching the crap they put on TV.

Best thing everyone can hope for is that Fox Sports 1 takes off and gives ESPN a run for the money (though it retrospect, they will probably overpay to get a "name" conference on board).

A big sticking point with the ATL stadium was that a study done by someone (sorry, dont feel like Googling this) points out that a crazy amount of time 70-80% despite having the ability to open the roof on a warm, sunny day, that it stays closed.  Obviously, this feature costs MOAR money and its cost/benefit ratio is simply not worth it.  IMO its a needless feature, and is simply being done because "you can".

Your argument is sound; what people always assume is that $1US=$1 in another country so the fact that some worker is only making $38/day is blasphemy.  In reality, since most of these sweatshops are located in 3rd world and/or developing economies, your choice is $38/day or farming/fishing for 12 hours a day, and then attempt to sell your wares aka no steady income.

I believe on an offical you have to be housed "on campus" if you stay overnight, travel costs are covered as you mentioned, and there is a certain dollar figure you cannot go over if you go out to dinner (IIRC its not a very high figure so think Applebees and not a 20oz aged Porterhouse).

I concur with that assessment, face it, if you've grown up playing football, you have a favorite program.  Too many of these kids seem to think "well I'm a 5 star blue chip of awesomeness, I need to go to X school, without thinking that hey I really dont like X school", and then they end up at a MAC or D2 school.

This is why I dont like it when kids commit to a coach Vs. the school.  Coaches can (and should) be a factor in your decision, just not the whole, and kids need to take into account the entire fit of academics, and sports.

Question: How can you re-classify at the HS level?

Googles says Collegiate is a private K-12 school, which I would assume would mean he essentially held himself back and completed another year of HS even though presumably he had the grades to move on.  I mean they dont give out medical hardships at the HS level correct? 

Other kids, such as McGary have went the opposite route, graduated HS, and spent a development year at a Miltary school/academy etc.  This has seemed to occur when a kid was hurt his senior year and didnt get a high profile and/or wanted to get bigger stronger before moving on.  I would think that this is what you would have to do in order to re-classify instead of just saying..aw shucks I got hurt and lost a season so I'm going to not move forward with my class.

Cavet: You do have cases such as Austin Hatch where they reclassify due to extreme hardships but breaking a bone isnt a extreme hardship.

Not according to my retired HS football coach father in law.  No matter how much I tell him that while recruiting is a crap shoot, if you have loaded dice then your chances of winning are much higher (case study; Alabama)  than just playing the regular odds.

Hoke and Co. have done a great job of getting quality depth to the team rather than having a heavy top end and no talent on the 2 deep.

Google tells me that the Play Store has >675,000 apps as of Oct 2012, taking out duplicate apps lets call it 300k unique apps, or 300k things that my phone can do. 

annnnnd I use about 20 of those on a weekly basis and thats including things such as "phone" as being an app. 

Look, I consider myself a techie, I've rooted my previous phones and currently my tablet, I can dial into my home network from my phone etc. and I keep up on the latest and greatest but I'll be damned if I use an app for such simple and mundane tasks as buying milk.  I attempted to use Evernote, had it synced across all my platforms and then I realized I spent more time typing crap into it that it took for me to "create" a reminder in my own internal harddrive.

Until I can order my very own C3PO this stuff is only for the "look at me" factor, and is the reason I got the 5 year warranty on all my new appliances because I know the condensor is highly unllikely to go out on my fridge, but I've heard plently of horror stories about MOBOs going out and bam here's a 1k repair bill.

You do realize that Mike DeBoard was the HC at CMU before Kelly correct? To say the cupboard was bare is an understatement, it had yet to be built yet. 

Also, Weis had how many top 10 classes and perennially underachieved, Kelly has finally started to get the most out of the leftover upperclassman from those classes and with a hefty sprinkling of his own recruits got his team to the MNC.  I may not like the guy but to say he wins with others recruits is untrue. 

Not going to lie, that screen was obnoxiously large and I spent the entire game gazing up at it in wonder.   

The main draw for those services was convenience aka I can still keep up on my favorite shows if I cut the cord but I sacrifice same day viewing (iTunes).

I will believe this when I see it but I do not forsee a future quite yet where content providers will serve up their channels a la cart as they have no incentive to do so. I've been down this road before with GoogleTV and Boxee and both have failed miserably.

The next 52 years, excluding matchups that did not feature Big 10/Pac 10 teams saw the conference go 16-31, thats not exactly a steller record so yes I do think travel has something to do with it.

Yes, of which we are currently seeing with the SEC's dominance but at least during the 60/80s I would have thought that Michigans name recognition was pretty steller to the point they should have been able to cherry pick the very best of that WC talent had they attempted to recruit someone, so you cannot tell me that talent alone has caused the PAC 10 be so good in the RB when their record in other bowls is about as good as the Big 10's.

I dont know about you but I"m pulling for Cincy to pull off the 3 peat and take Enos off our hands, hell I would even consider paying his gas money to get him out of Mt. P. 

The root cause of teams that fire their coachs and still end up sucking is that AD's make stupid decisions and hire a coach who scraps their current offense/defense and switch to the complete opposite end of the spectrum (pro vs spread, 4/3 to 3-3-5).

With coaches starting to only get 2 years (Turner Gill, Colorado's coach) to show results, I mean think about it, thats 1 1/2 recruiting cycles to try and get your personnel in....its not happening.
