Take one look at the picture above.  Married or not who wouldn't be gunning for that sexy beast.

Are they strained due to…

Are they strained due to Covid patients or operating closer to normal capacity due to elective surgeries being started again?  This was one of the misleading statistics they gave for Houston.  I believe a couple weeks ago when they started talking about their strained hospital system they were looking at it in total, not just Covid-19 patients.  They were saying they were near capacity because they're now operating like they would normally operate a hospital outside of a pandemic.  If it did get worse they would shut down electives and convert to Covid but they are currently no where near needing to do that.  It was something like 25% of patients were there for Covid-19.  Going into this weekend Houston had 807 available ICU beds (1400 total and 689 occupied by Covid-19 patients) with a Covid-19 admission growth of 3% which is averaged over 7 days.  Growth rate of ICU beds is 1% and Covid-19 patients using med-surge beds is at 0.1%.

Phase 2 capacity, they're only 19% into that capacity with no plans to move to Phase 3 capacity at the current admission/growth rate.

Add in the fact that the elderly and compromised are still isolating and the majority of new cases are in younger people, they are either having no symptoms or mild and if they are in the hospital, their turnaround is relatively quick so even though there may be admissions, those people aren't staying for a long time allowing numbers to start piling up. Add in better treatments if they are going in and we're getting grips on this even if the positive cases are going up.  The death rate isn't following and continues to decline which is fantastic news and a number we should be focusing on more rather than positive cases.

A girl in our office tested positive a couple weeks ago.  She had a sore throat and went to get tested for strep and came back positive.  As a standard they're also testing for Covid-19 and that happened to come back positive.  She's in her mid 20s and besides the sore throat she had a decrease in smell as her only symptom.  Had she not had strep she would have never gone in.  Makes you wonder how many people have had it and never knew they had it.  Her co-workers and 3 roommates all got tested and came back negative.  I got a test as a precaution since I was going to see a compromised family member.  No real system in the drive-through testing.  Super busy and workers never kept track of which of the 3 lanes should be the next to go.  Add in a thunderstorm in which they worked through the worst and as it was passing all went to their cars for an hour then resumed.  Finally got my test and they only stuck the swab up my nose about 1.5".  Really not sure if that was a legit test or not!  Definitely didn't scratch my brain.

Best: $8 growlers of any beer from the sports bar down the street. I’d go for the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale with my buffalo chicken pizza every Friday.

Worst: lack of gatherings with friends.

Last of the Mohicans..yes! …

Last of the Mohicans..yes!  My favorite movie.  Cinematography and score is amazing.

My modern day war movie favorite has to be 13 Hours.  Excellent movie.  That unit wanting to run in to the firefight severely outnumbered always gets me jacked up.

Lone Survivor then American Sniper if I had to rank those 3 movies.

On top of that I’m sure Meyer isn’t working 40+ hours a week scheming and studying Michigan each week given he has nothing better to do at osu.

Nashville. Sams sports bar…

Nashville. Sams sports bar at Nippers Corner. Originally been getting $12 growlers from Birger Republic but they’ve been running out if beer so I switched up my Friday night dinner to pizza and fell upon this gem tonight. Quarantine not looking so bad now!

Scored big. Sports bar down…

Scored big. Sports bar down the road has $8 growlers! Got a growler of KY Bourbon Barrel Ale. They forgot to put in my pizza order so they knocked that off my bill and gave me a free pint to go. Pizza, growler, pint for less than $10 (originally $30 and still tipped 100% - my Friday tradition during quarantine)

I'll do that.  Thanks!

I'll do that.  Thanks!

If Phil wants to restrict…

If Phil wants to restrict Nike to Oregon...have fun with that Phil.  You just let Adidas, UA, etc. in on huge market shares.  You can only send so many kids to play Oregon basketball every year and sign so many football recruits every year.  Meanwhile, the other companies are raking in the schools.  Give it several years and those companies are getting tons of exposure with still several top athletes wearing those other company shoes at over 100 schools...and Phil has 1.  Jordan sees this, breaks off, and starts his own company free from Nike and rakes it in even more.  Soon Phil sees his empire crumbling to what it once was, name recognition is recognized as a has been. I doubt Phil is that crazy.

I think a free for all is…

I think a free for all is exactly what is needed. You’d still have shady deals going on otherwise to get around the maximum limit. About time Michigan was in a competitive advantage.

Transfers signal likely…

Transfers signal likely lower draft status to undrafted—so why did we think Shea would work out so well?

Same reason LSU thought Burrow would work out so well?

Is Alabama just content defending the entire state of Alabama for the next 15 days?  Seems like an Alabama thing to do.

The Michigan Difference.  Love it!

I think you missed his point…

I think you missed his point.

If there is no college football season it will be because we have bigger issues going on in the world.

If those bigger issues are going on by then the cumulative effect of those issues will be bigger than the Great Depression.

I say all this as it is…

I say all this as it is about to thunderstorm in Nashville but can't nobody rain on my parade!  Because my parade is indoors...in my living room...on a TV...showing an event which is also indoors.

Getting a care package from the 'rents on Friday complete with mask.  I've requested a Michigan mask my mother made herself (she sews and quilts forever) so I'm interested to see the one she's made.  Definitely less than $15!

I believe the federal…

I believe the federal guidelines covered this with the phasing of opening.  You have case numbers going in a downward trend for 14 days and you're able to do X things.  Hit numbers for phase 2 and you can do Y things.  Hit numbers for phase 3 and you can do Z things.  I think phase 2 lets you gather in groups of 50 or less with continued social distancing.  This may be the earliest movie theaters would open and tickets are for a particular seat to ensure distancing.

Graphs give a good visual…

Graphs give a good visual representation of what consistency can do.  Our Star Power has consistently gone up which browsing a few other teams doesn't have the severe dips like others do.  Compare to Season 1 where we'd have highs and lows with an upward trend.  Consistency we'll get the upward trend but not have the big drops.

9 more days until I become a 4 star.  14 more days before my twin becomes a 3 star.

Would be nice if Wisconsin could take Wyoming from Nebraska (who Neb allies with??) then we could double team Boise State if necessary and get osu out of there and have help finishing off Stanford.  They'd control the north, we'd have the west and could push down and across from there.  Definitely need to get UNLV from Stanford.  We'd have the entire state of CA protected the next round.

I'm getting close as well. …

I'm getting close as well.  My twin is still a lowly 1 star but hasn't been thoroughly evaluated by the recruiting sites yet.  He'll continue to push on and whoop dat ass.

Seems like probability is thrown out when you're not winning on 80% chance to win battles.  Hopefully the luck swings back to the good guys soon!  Continuing to do my part but currently taking orders out east.

Can we just crush Stanford…

Can we just crush Stanford already?  They have 42 players and 268 star power spread over 4 territories.  Regain some protected territories and push east.  Take their land...and their freedom!

The games I've played with…

The games I've played with no trump you only call it if you've got a sure 3.  In my experience it's taken a lot of skill out of the game.  Maker basically just lays down their hand and you move on.  It's dumb.

First heard of no trump when my sister and I were down in Panama City beach last year and a family was playing euchre next to us. We joked we had next. So we played the winners and they call this no trump nonsense. They were from IN which may prove your point. Takes a lot of skill out of the game.

Trump and STD are the only…

Trump and STD are the only ways to play 4 handed.

How many play the other versions? 2,3,5, and 6 handed? I think 5 is my favorite version to play.

Single guy.  Most of my meals are simple for meal prep.  I'm only cooking chicken breast en mass right now.  To complete most meals I quickly steam up some broccoli on the stove and about an hour before eating I'll grab a sweet potato, cover it in olive oil and sea salt and wrap it in tin foil and stick it in the oven for 45 minutes or so depending on the size at 400.  Best sweet potatoes.

I did break out the 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies since it was 3 ingredients I did have.  First time making cookies in several years.  Made a double batch that yielded 8 cookies.  I like em big.  They're delicious.
