Eh, even though Detroit lost to the Niners I have a hard time hating them.
There are two reasons for that.
One is that Mr. Irrelevant tearing up the league is an echo of Tom Brady.
Two is that, in the 80s, the Niners were my second team. Bill Walsh came in and did a terrific turnaround job, turning them into an NFC power with a highly likeable group of players.
There was one play in the second half where #23 for Michigan was coming on a blitz and Penix visibly flinched and chucked the ball up while #23 was still a few yards away.
Not sure if Penix was hurt by that point, but that was when I felt Michigan had the game in hand.
Ehhhh...mixed emotions...I'd rather see something much more steady through four quarters than all these crazy ups and downs, even though they've gotten the job done tonight.

F Boston and all the schools in that area.
People would be amazed at the sheer volume of absolute trash ideas and thinking that originates from that tiny plot of land.
Unbelievably tight script writing from the NFL.
Vince Russo could learn a thing or two from these guys.
The officials will…
Relax.
The officials will deliver the scripted result that the NFL paid them good money to.
All pro football has been, and always will be corporate-manufactured garbage.
NFL definitely has the FCC, FBI, CIA, and NSA shutting down all the streaming sites.
I'll take Dua Lipa over Taylor all day, every day.
It is.

Most normal people…
Right?
Most normal people need to get up at normal time tomorrow and put in a good effort at work.
Do you want to know how I got these scars?
Everything Bama has, "accomplished," under Saban should have a Death Star-sized asterisk tied to it.
Björk is Swedish for, "birch."
Her 90s run in London is some of her best work, and some of the best in the trip-hop genre.
The more you know...
I'd be fine if they regressed to a Stallings level of play.
What has happened during the Saban era is disgusting and has been terrible for the entire sport of college football.
I don't think DeBoer really understands what he's gotten himself into.
The restaurant and bar scene in Petoskey is unbelievable for a town that size.
Note that Traverse City is part of a micropolitan area with over 150k in population, about 95k of that in Grand Traverse county alone:

Not huge, but too large to still be considered small at this point.
I'm pretty sure the most valuable home in the state of Michigan is on the shores of Lake Charlevoix.
All that money explains why the Traverse City Meijer is huge and well-stocked.
I only visit occasionally, but it seems like most of TC's current growth is to the south and west. Nothing really seems to be happening to the north.
Ernest used to hang around Walloon Lake quite a bit.
The City Park Grill in Petoskey was one of his favorite hangouts up there.
Heck, I had a reasonably peppy German sedan and the thing was designed to beg you to wind it out and it rewarded you for doing so.
Minter has shown enough to deserve a shot in the NFL.
Washington also has a two MNCs, several legendary college players, and even a few guys in the NFL Hall-of-Fame.
Arizona doesn't really have that same level of program success.
Saban can't retire soon enough.

Pure class move from Jalen Harrell to wish Penix well.

CAN YOU FUCKIN BELIEVE IT!?!?!?
Can you believe it?
NFL catch from Loveland.
MIchigan played 15 minutes and thought that's all they needed to do.
JFC.
Shit, I'm out of beer and I have to work tomorrow.
WTF should I do???
Jesus...does the Michigan offense even know what the slant or slot is?
Uh, I'm pretty sure remaking that B1G ad with the new West Coast schools is an easy layup for whatever ad agency they hire for it.
Michigan played a good 15 and now seems content to throw this game away.
FML.
THE GHOST OF CHARLES WOODSON IS HERE!!!
I mentioned this up thread and got told it was totally inappropriate.
YMMV
Based on the…
Right?
Based on the analysis here, Michigan should be loading its offense to smash into UW's DLine.
Why is Michigan's coaching staff not seeing this?
How is it possible Michigan pissed away all of that immense momentum they built up in the first quarter?
SMFH
Michigan should spend halftime watching Lloyd's basketball on grass in the Capital One bowl.
This is looking ahead/putting the cart before the horse, but based on CFP performance I think Minter has to be the on staff head coach in-waiting.
Amazing job by Paige to submarine the lineman's block!
Wow....Penix just freaked with a rusher that was still 5 yards away....
Here we go with tempo, dink n' dunk, basketball on grass to tire out the defense...noooo....
Load up the…
Terrible call.
Load up the heavy package and pave the road.
Corum's thigh appears to have dislocated that poor fellow's elbow, maybe even broken his arm.
Michigan's DLine also appears to be pissed that a certain group won the Joe Moore.
I think you are…
NJB-
I think you are correct.
If UW is able to get their offense on track they can score like no one's business.
Maybe Doman really was struggling with the quality of the turf that was put down at the Rose Bowl.
That wasted set of downs is going to give UW hope, and that is really dangerous.
Did that promo just award Washington the 1990 MNC, a championship that UW declines to claim, or am I just that drunk already?
