I too would cross Frost off the list solely for this reason.

It is fundamental in our society that you get out there and try to get your voice heard, otherwise you are simply forgotten.

...as close as we will get to Bo in this day and age:
"He is a vessel of pain. He inflicts it and welcomes it. Practice is supposed to suck. Games are supposed to hurt. Most coaches arrive with a calculated, five-year plan. Harbaugh's plan is kick ass."

I always thought that USC had the best film school out there.
I also see that UCLA's claimed acceptance rate is 20.4% vs. 33.3% for Michigan. I feel like Michigan was a lot more selective in the past.
|11 weeks 3 days ago||How did...||
...Michigan's acceptance rate balloon up to 33.3%?
That's insanely high versus the acceptance rates 20 years ago.
|11 weeks 3 days ago||What criteria...||
...could possibly put UCLA above us?
I try to think of an academic discipline they're known for and I'm blank.

Public schools are not allowed in the Top 25 ranking for as long as I can remember.
They have a separate "Top 25 Public Schools" list that keeps the plebes from making too much noise.
I always find Georgia Tech to be incredibly overrated. Not impressed by their grads at all.
In one of the world rankings, there are also some bizarre results, like UCLA and another UC school rated above Michigan academically. Sorry, no.

I really like the fact he spent time touring the state incognito, but two weeks is not enough time to see and do everything that Michigan has on offer during summer.

It's like people in A2 have somehow managed to catch the "DiBella's = Jesus!!!" virus so prevalent in Rochester, NY.

Just saw Winter Classic highlights on France 24 (French BBC) at my apartment here in North Africa.
The commentators were both complementary of the stadium, but they were (understandably) not enthused about the weather.
If only the fing Wings could have pulled out the W.
|47 weeks 2 days ago||Yeah...||
....but look at the talent on the Wings alumni teams versus the Leafs. Not even in the same league.
Sundin is about the only Leafs guy that could hang with Detroit's best.

|51 weeks 4 days ago||There are...||
...two main reasons a lot of baseball teams are going to artificial surfaces
1) Money. Over the long-term is is far, far cheaper to maintain an artificial surface than to pay a full-time groundskeeping staff and the costs of maintaining a high-quality sod surface.
2) Flexibility. Because artificial surfaces are much less sensitive to temperature, moisture, etc., they can endure much heavier use cycles. This means that the team can spend a lot more time on the actual field practicing instead of having to find an alternative site or forego practice altogether.

...I was on campus for my summer job with ITD in 2001 and the girl I was dating at the time took me to see "The Fast & The Furious" for my birthday even though she wasn't into cars at all. I like cars so I found it and most of the sequels hugely entertaining.
|51 weeks 6 days ago||Yeah...||
...Funchess singled up with Butt going to the back and Gallon to the front on the opposite side would've been the perfect playcall after the OSU TO.
|51 weeks 6 days ago||The only...||
...thing I can think of is that we spent large portions of time earlier in the season specifically preparing for OSU. That is the only rational explanation I can come up with when comparing Michigan's offense today vs. what we saw vs. PSU, MSU, NEB, NW, and Iowa.
|51 weeks 6 days ago||With regard to the final...||
...2 pt conversion I think Michigan's best option was tossing up a jump ball for Funchess in the corner of the endzone. Credit to OSU for completely sniffing out the final playcall and covering it well.
