Thought I would "Chip" in on this. I go to CMU and him being here has been nice for the first two weeks of the season, rushing for over 100 yards in each game. He missed last Saturday's game against Syracuse for an unspecified reason and then this story broke today.
We talked about this in my newswriting class today because it was obviously relevant and a woman spoke up in class saying she has been Rawl's girlfriend for 5 years. It made for an incredibly awkward end to the conversation as she said she didn't want to add anything other then the fact that what has been released isn't the whole story. Part of me wants to believe her...but it certainly looks like he messed up here.
Knowing that the Big Ten Champs were the Big Ten Champs 10 minutes into the game was an interesting feeling...but I liked it. Let's meet up again in a couple weeks to win the Conference Tourney too.
Freshmen Walton looks a lot like Freshmen Burke and I like it. (Not that I think they are equal...they just looked very similar as Freshmen in my opinion)
I would be very surprised if that is what's happening. A position coach going to a lesser school to be a head coach doesn't sound like any kind of firing to me...just sounds like he wants to be a head coach.
No, Fox Sports 1 is like a national sports channel like ESPN while Fox Sports Net is like your Fox Sports Detroits or Milwaulkee etc. I think...I'm pretty sure that's right.
Meh. Stauskas may still be injured and Duke hounded him all game long, GRIII never shows up, and I don't know what you expected Morgan and Horford to do since they rarely contribute anything major.
I do agree that GRIII looks awful though. Such a disappointment. He gets his dramatic dunk for the game and then settles for jumpers. This whole team needs to drive to the rim more, even if it's not for two points just get in the lane and make the defense collapse.
Attempt to calm everyone down: Duke hasn't lost in Cameron in 12 years against non-conference teams. Michigan is young. Stauskas did not look 100% tonight. This team will improve, all of Beilein's teams do. Two years ago they started conference play 1-6 and still made the tourney. Coach can turn them around and I think he will. Michigan was probably overrated to start the year but they will be about a 20-25th ranked team. I believe all will be fine.
I get that Irvin is a freshmen but my god... He hit 6 three's against Coppin State and that is it. He looks lost on offense and defense almost every possesion. He is by far the most frustrating player for me to watch. He jacks up too many shots.
This may be a bit off topic, but I am sick and tired of hearing about physical running and seeing shit runs out of the I-Form. You can be physical at the line of scrimmage in any offense and any formation. Oregon has a physical line. Standford has a physical line. Baylor has a physical line. Three different teams, three different offenses. Those three teams all have identities while Michigan has none.
Hoke seems resistant to change just because he isn't comfortable with it. Didn't actually answer a press question about how he doesn't use the spread punt because he isn't comfortable with it? It's ridiculous to not coach a punt formation that is proven to work better most of the time. Each week my confidence in Hoke and company diminishes.
Nice adjustments from the team in the second half. Started attacking the rim and good things started happening. A couple more made free throws would have lowered my heart rate though.
Offense seems to run smoother with Spike on the floor over Walton to me. This is only the second game I have seen though. Irvin doesn't look all that impressive either.
I get that this team can make the three...but I felt like a lot of shots were not good shots. Rebounding was also frustrating to watch.
I'm not terribly upset about this loss though. I think the kids hear the coaching better after a loss than a win so I think the issues will be sorted out in no time.

2 games won by a total of 4 points and I feel great!
I've watched CBS games on CBSSports.com before so that's probably your best bet. You could also try FirstRowSports.
Not the BTT but Iowa State is leading Kansas in a foulfest 66-57. 11 and a half left and Kansas looks awful in the second half.
Oh boy, that nipple pinch from Spike damn near killed me. This was great.
Post 16 Muppets in honor of 16 three pointers nailed! Muppets for days!

Ah yes, the panteted Morgan stone hands.

Good things happen you put the ball in the middle of the zone.
I want this GRIII to stay the whole year. I love the aggressiveness.
Do they really call Stauskas "Tube"? I have never heard that.
Good rebound GRIII
Fuck
Why take that shot in that situation...
Terrible call.
McGary throwing down with the right hand!
Horford is playing really well today. Very surprising.
Could have used this GRIII earlier in the year but better late than never.
The refs went from not calling anything down low to calling handchecks all around the three-point line.
Love that foul by Horford. No easy buckets.
Arizona was called for a charge in the first 2 minutes of the game. Charges are not dead.
Spike for Heisman. Good things happen when he is running point.
Rebounding doesn't look like a big issue yet, surprisingly.
Hoping GRIII can assert himself effectively early.
Just saw this on twitter:
Breaking: source tells The Advocate #LSU will play Iowa in the Outback Bowl bowl Jan 1 in Tampa.
So... not LSU? Still on New Years? Who Knows?
Lions somehow have over 100 yards of offense. On pace for 400 yards still, can they do it?

Walton hit a three as I logged in, but I still think Spike should start over him. Walton forces too much I think.
I laughed much too hard at that. So sad...
Just saw on Twitter that Hoke responded to a question about the offense by saying "Have to be better."
I give up.

So ridiculous. I don't know how Borges survives into next year.

Well this is upsetting. Defense looks lost. Offense looks lost.

I think it is much too early to make B1G record projections.. It's the 5th game of the season.
FSU seems too tall at this point in the game. When the three's aren't falling the offense looks lost.
MGoVideo has both halves uploaded to YouTube right now. Or go to his website and watch them.

So am I the only one who thinks are best win is over Minnesota instead of Notre Dame?
I know I shouldn't bring up the Penn State game, but seeing the amount of "fucks" that were given makes me laugh a bit.
For better or worse, I would not have known a tenth of the football knowledge I would know now without MGoBlog and its posters. Thanks to everyone.
I'd drug test you. I highly doubt drugs are the issue.
TD Iowa. Now up by two scores. Anything can happen but I doubt Purdue makes a comeback.
