Gunderson Good ol' Brenda. I had her for stats 12 years ago.
House Hunters My wife and I were on House Hunters. Good experience, but 40+ hours of filming/staging over five days for a 23 minute show is a lot of work. Plus they coax you into saying a lot of stuff. We're filming a "where are they now" next week to show of my Man Cave, which is always a work in progress.
Samsung un60eh6000 I'm a big fan of the Samsung Eh6000/6003 series. No 3D, no smart apps, just a simple quality tv. If you're patient you could get the un60eh6000 or 6003 for under $1000 (check edealinfo.com for sales).
Farmington

I know for a fact that Farmington Public Schools are on the trimester schedule (having taught there once upon a time).  No idea how it affects his enrollment "early" at Michigan.

Brady

I was able to snag a customized Brady #10 jersey. It was a few years after he left Michigan, but they don't seem to police it too heavily.

Versus

Except even NBC is growing tired of waiting for the "Return to Glory"; hence their decision to air some games on Versus...sorry NBC Sports.

Junior College

As a high school teacher, I have no major problem with junior colleges, but I do get a sense that many fail to make the move to a four year university. In any event, my parents tried to get me to start at a junior college, and I'm really glad that I didn't (opting to go straight to UofM), because I feel your freshman and sophomore years in the dorms are critical for one's social life--friends, future roommates, etc. I know college is supposed to be all about academics, but I feel that the socialization skills that are obtained and overall maturation are equally important.

CollectingConcepts

I just snagged a nice 44x20" framed piece with 8x10's of Brady, Desmond, Braylon and Woodson from eBay (collectingconcepts was the seller). He's out of Troy and gave me a discount for picking it up. Total price was $115, and he had lots of other cool pics, like The Cold War panorama, and Bo running out of the tunnel for the last time, as well as Detroit sports. I love that kinda stuff for the man cave and would recommend checking it out.

Firefox

Firefox is angry at mgoblog as well...couldn't take the chance on my pc, so I'm using the iPhone app.

The jinx, not the negbang...that's warranted here

Not Cool

Not cool, dude!

ESPN > Yahoo...unless

ESPN > Yahoo...unless you actually like reading investigative reporting, and not useless fluff pieces. Yahoo has, and will apparently continue to dominate the realm of actual reporting!

Seven Years

Seven Years is a LONG time in college football.  GERG was win the Rose Bowl a mere five years before he got to UofM.

Martin v. Brandon

Martin set the bar pretty low and somehow, Brandon seems to be limboing under it.  Amazing!

#5 is Ridiculous!

Had we hired Les six weeks ago, he would have absolutely brought all 32 of his recruits (ranked #3).  Combine that with our 3-star mafia and we would have had the #2 recruiting class (you simply can't mess with Texas at #1).

7th Day

If this is the 6th day that DB has held the world hostage, doesn't that mean that he'll be resting tomorrow?  Even DB needs a rest after doing (what appears to be) nothing.

If Only

If only this were real life...that would mean DB wouldn't need to procrastinate for another three weeks, the decision would be made for him and we'd have Patterson!  Can someone make this happen?

Up the ante

Looks like it's time to up the limit for posting threads to 1000pts.

SMC Grad

I graduated with an SMC degree back when Kinesiology was still the "Division of Kinesiology" (even though it was a division of nothing).  I echo everyone else's sentiments about networking and interning being more important than the degree itself.  I enjoyed SMC classes more than any other on campus.  Taking classes from the A.D. at EMU, the Director of Sports Information at UofM (both of whom have moved to other positions), and most importantly Pat Maloy was incredible; but finding a job is extremely difficult and requires starting at the bottom and working your way up.  Ultimately, I was in Maloy's class the semester that he passed away and he inspired me to become a teacher, so I graduated from SMC, headed over to the Ed. School and haven't looked back since.  I'd recommend the program, but be prepared to put in a lot of extra work outside of the classroom to obtain a quality job.
