Love the wallpaper, hate to

Love the wallpaper, hate to see DG so damn depressed.

It has been quite a while

It has been quite a while since I've taken to Photoshop, so I definitely expect the quality of the next few images to improve. I've always been a fan of in-your-face text; I was a sucker for Nike t-shirts in my teenage years because of this.

Creative Cloud is fantastic if you're looking to use multiple Adobe applications. You can also get it on the cheap if you're a college student. I thought the applications would run like crap because they're cloud-based, but you actually download the full application set and use it as if you own it. Not a bad deal if you ask me, but more dedicated users get pissy about the Cloud.

He and Jake Ryan are on deck, I'm just having trouble finding high-res photos that won't look extremely pixelated after I edit them.

I've got it on a 23" monitor

I've got it on a 23" monitor at work and it looks very crisp. Make sure to select the correct version (widescreen or 19x12 SD) and clik "dowloand > original". The image will stretch out and look blurry if you've downloaded the widescreen version for an SD monitor or vice-versa.

I'll take it as constructive

I'll take it as constructive criticism. Feel free to give a more specific request.

I must have said "what the

I must have said "what the hell happened to the giant?!" five times before they got around to showing it. I chuckled for a moment at the thought of the giant making it through and hiding for some sort of sneak attack.

He's definitely going to rise

He's definitely going to rise but he would need one hell of an Army week to get that fifth star. As of now I'd expect to see him come up to the 30-50 range.

Shut down LT on the camping

Shut down LT on the camping scene. Has solid size compared to most of his Cass Tech counterparts and should be in the four star range.

Exact same though running

Exact same though running through my mind. Gholston seemed to give up on half of the snaps because he knew Lewan was just going to stand him up. Easy to see Gholston being the one to play dirty first.

Link to McQuay's beats

I don't see them on here yet so here are McQuay's beats, which happen to be crispy. He's not just saying that he wants to go into music, it seems like he has some actual talent.

This is true. But in reality

This is true. But in reality there are times when someone has crossed the line too many times, like Stonum, yet BWC isn't about to lose his scholarship over some lowly arrest. OSU is in a similar situation.

Still, Meyer is unquestionably scummy and will get what he deserves.

This situation obviously

This situation obviously doesn't help Meyer's reputation but in the end it's not that big of a deal. Yes, people are going to spin it as if Meyer is creating another circle of trust that will only bring the team down, but we should be slow to judge here.

Chain of events:
Urban Meyer

Chain of events:

Urban Meyer kicks him (Clarke) off of the team for multiple issues with the law.

Other players on the OSU squad are in trouble with the law and not yet kicked off of the team.

Clarke tweets about the situation by calling Meyer out.

All I'm saying is that he has

All I'm saying is that he has marginal talent. He may have been on the cusp of an offer from certain schools but the fact that Diddy is probably going to be a ridiculous booster down the line after he graduates most likely helped his cause and may have tipped the scales ever so slightly in helping him receive those offers. And telling recruits you've got P Diddy and his son on your side isn't ever going to hurt.

CANT WAIT

I feel like he shows ability

I feel like he shows ability consistent to that of MAC players, but maybe he did earn a scholarship at camps or something of that sort. Either way I feel like the attention his father brings to a program is enough to boost his stock in their eyes. If he had no talent whatsoever they obviously wouldn't have offered regardless, but the fact that he's a borderline 2-star recruit who has these offers makes me feel like his name helped him out.

The kid is an average corner

The kid is an average corner recruit who doesn't even have true BCS level talent. He probably shouldn't have a scholarship and instead be considered a preferred walk-on. This way his millionaire father pays while he gets the level of attention from the football program that he actually earned.

The only real issue I have with it is how Combs is taking a spot that another cornerback actually deserves when it comes to football talent. While Combs and his millionaire dad get a free ride someone else most likely lost out because of it.

Alabama loses the bulk of

Alabama loses the bulk of their defensive talent and half of their offense in Richardson. Maybe the formula plays off of the fact that a one-loss SEC team is guaranteed to be pushed in.

They return a QB that should

They return a QB that should be a first round pick, produce RBs on a consistent basis and always have solid defense. I don't see them going undefeated, but it's a realistic outcome if Thomas takes a step forward this season. Comparing our schedule to theirs it's easy to see why they'd have a better chance.

I see what you did

I see what you did there...

You're also the only one to receive an upvote from TheOnlyOne, mostly because I just topped 100 points.

His offense is going to

His offense is going to struggle badly this year, but this time around he has his defensive coordinator. They just picked up a borderline 3/4* QB recruit who looks solid, and I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up finishing fairly high in the Pac 12 once he matures.

Here's to hoping that I'm not the only MGoBlogger pulling for Rodriguez in Arizona.

The fact that he's similar to

The fact that he's similar to Norfleet means we're probably never going to offer him. We've got our scatback for the next four years, and in a power running offense that's all we need.

I still hope he gets more major offers because he can ball.

Haven't ever laughed that

Haven't ever laughed that hard because of a post

Agreed, and nice use of the

Agreed, and nice use of the Joker as well. Carrington looks to be massively underrated. The level of competition in the video isn't elite, but it definitely doesn't look so poor that you have to discredit the video evidence altogether.

And a note on listed 40 times: throw them in the trash. They're usually either plain inaccurate or misleading. How many profiles list a 4.4 or 4.5 forty yet show average speed on film? This kid is blowing by people while showing pure agility in the meantime. He has football speed.

Pop bottles!

Can anyone leave an honest

Can anyone leave an honest response about a recruit without being downvoted? If it's not praise or claiming we're the leader it must be garbage, right?

It really is though. If

It really is though. If you're a recruit, only 18 years of age, when would a coach comparing you to a NFL legend get old? And on top of that Mattison's track record speaks for itself, so when you combine it all with his commanding personality you end up with an elite recruiter. It may get old to us, but it will forever be music to the ears of recruits.

Realistically I'll go ahead

Realistically I'll go ahead and say we have little to no chance. If he does visit there's always a chance that Hoke and Mattison put themselves into the fold, but I wouldn't hold my breath here.

They're not carbon copies of

They're not carbon copies of each other but they're close enough to warrant doubt about offering Wilkins. Would you rather sign an extra DL/DB or have three power backs in one class? I'm not in the "get as many as we can" boat.

That's not really how it

That's not really how it works, and the Ezeh situation isn't even comparable. We can only load up on so many players at the same position before it takes away from our ability to add talent elsewhere. Since Wilkins isn't much different than the backs we've already secured it would make sense to leave the slot open for someone at a different position. Why the staff is so set on taking another power back is beyond me, but I'm not a coach.

He has Big Ten level power

He has Big Ten level power and size but his running style concerns me. He's anything but compact in his motion and ball security could be an issue as well. In terms of athleticism he's not even close to Isaac, but at 6'1" 200 he could fill out and become a 220lb back that we use to complement Smith.

Since we already have Shallman and Smith wrapped up I'm hoping we don't find another back in this class and instead offer it to the best available at another position of need. At this point if the 3rd back isn't someone with elite athleticism they're not worth taking.

She's in superhero yoga

She's in superhero yoga pants.

That's. Not. Fair.

He can block in pass pro just

He can block in pass pro just fine, even by NFL standards. Sure, he's undersized, but he wouldn't be the first offensive lineman an NFL scout called to small or too short that ended up being a long-term starter. He's never going to pile drive NFL NTs into the ground but he'll consistently help keep his QB clean in more than one way.

I tend to disagree here. In a

I tend to disagree here. In a pass-happy NFL where more and more wild blitz schemes are being designed the need for an intelligent center is increasing. Molk isn't ever going to dominate the Suhs of the world, but he's going to make damn sure everyone knows who to pick up. He's an amazing leader, and that's a great attribute to have as the brain of the offensive line. He could be a 7th round steal who goes on to be a multi-year starter.

Dawson's power base is

Dawson's power base is unbelievable. He has thrown 300-lb kids off balance with solid handwork on multiple occasions. It's going to a major challenge getting to Morris.

If only we could recruit on a

If only we could recruit on a national scale and pick up such talented sleepers...

I LOLd
Their QB commit was

I LOLd

Their QB commit was reported as a big kid with a big arm. He seems to have a ton of upside. Still, he's no Shane Morris and he won't be playing behind the likes of Kalis, LTT and others.

"Sometimes people just tell

"Sometimes people just tell you want you want to hear. Maybe it works for some. But I want to hear the truth. In general, I'm not a fan of the whole process"

It's quotes like this that make me think he's only waiting to commit to Michigan. Our coaches are constantly being praised for their honesty and up front approach, and he knows he'll have plenty of room to run behind the lineman we've been signing.

Seems ridiculous, because it

Seems ridiculous, because it is. I wouldn't be surprised if he just didn't want to be at Nebraska any longer and put out some lame excuse to keep from bad-mouthing his brother's school.

Tackles extremely well in

Tackles extremely well in space and has deep range, might end up projecting to safety. Even if he plays corner it looks like he could be the physical type whp can come up an help in the run game similar to Marlin Jackson. Either way he looks like a solid kid to offere early on.

Video of this performance

Video of this performance would be swell.

Yes, I said swell.

I doubt he drops too far. He

I doubt he drops too far. He has everything that can't be taught - height, mega arm strength, more mobility than Chad Henne. He'll improve his footwork and change of ball speeds by the time he's done with camps and maintain his spot, or maybe move up much like Mallet did.

Especially considering our

Especially considering our sudden depth in the back side of the defense. I'm sure Angry Michigan _____ Hating God will strike someone down and send him to the deptsh of DII football.

Not sure about the staying

Not sure about the staying low part, and even if it's true he's going to need to learn to use proper technique more consistently. Hoke and Mattison seem to favor players who play with the best technique over the most physically gifted players, so I wouldn't be surprised if it took Pipkins some time to solidify himself in the DT rotation. If we weren't paper thin at DT the chances of him playing immediately would be slim.

If Aaron Lynch was running at

If Aaron Lynch was running at me I'd be screaming OH LONG JOHNSON. Glad to know that Denard can safely meme the shit out of Notre Dame once again.

I wouldn't doubt Bolden

I wouldn't doubt Bolden locking up a starting spot by the end of the year, but since the coaches lean toward players who play with consistency I'm expecting it to happen at the beginning of next year.

I really hope Funchess comes in with his weight up a bit so he can contribute early. The TE depth is bad.

Isn't it a report created by

Isn't it a report created by the NBA and their scouts? The league obviously wants talented kids to declare but at the same time they're not hurting for players like Trey Burke. I'd say the range he received (if that really is the range they gave him) is a fair projection.

I don't know about 300

I don't know about 300 passing yards. If he doesn't turn the ball over and makes good rushing reads we should be able to make it a game. Alabama is going to give him a multitude of NFL type looks and fronts to play against so he just needs to be smart. If he tries to fit the ball into spaces we're going to be looking at a massacre.

I'm skeptical of their offense. They've still got talent but they haven't ever played an aggressive style and without Trent Richardson I think we can stay within striking distance throughout the game.

This is one of those games

This is one of those games that is so polarizing for me. I desperately want to see an improved Denard Robinson make solid decisions against a good defense. I'm also scared to death of the possibility that they expose our new lineman.

149 days seems like an eternity right now but it always seems like spring ball ends and we're suddenly playing football games again. That anxious feeling never changes.
