One game probably doesn't

One game probably doesn't help all that much. However, a continuos series like the one ND has with USC/Stanford helps recruiting in that they can tell recruits that they will be playing atleast one game near their home each year where their friends in family can watch them play without traveling across the country.

I'd like to see us establish

I'd like to see us establish inroads into the Mid-Atlantic. Play 2 games against some combination of UVA, UMD, UNC, maybe even Rutgers and NCSU or VaTech. The region is becoming a recruiting hotbed that PSU has traditionally done very well in but I don't see them continuing their success. Ideally, I'd like to play Home and Homes with UVA and UMD so that we would be near the DC area (which is filled with UMich Alums) each year. Neither team is likely to be a huge threat to Michigan year-in-year-out. Playing Rutgers could also be beneficial as NJ always produces a few top recruits, it would be close to a huge alum base in NYC, and could help to further grow the UM fanbase in NYC.

If Dawson does decommit, how

If Dawson does decommit, how likely is it that we see an offer go out to Rodgers or start recruiting someone like Pocic who had interest in Michigan but was told his position had been filled?

IMO Karlsson and Letang

IMO Karlsson and Letang aren't that great at playing actual defense. Doughty is excellent, possibly the best in the league when he's 100 percent, but I doubt the Kings would move him seeing as he is basically their franchise player and they just won the cup.

I doubt they would ever trade

I doubt they would ever trade him but I think Alex Pietrangelo from the Blues is probably one of the best Dmen would could acquire. He's 22 years old, has good size(6'4), and is a solid defender and moves the puck well. I would guess that the Blues need some depth scoring, but I don't know what price if any they'd request for their top D.

Harvard looks like a younger

Harvard looks like a younger John Kerry

Did Babcock really saw that?

Did Babcock really saw that? I watched two of his highlight videos and his skating looked terrible though he does seem to be a sniper

I have to wonder with since

I have to wonder with since we just signed two depth forwards when we were supposedly looking for an elite F and an elite D if Holland is now stocking the roster in order to trade other players away for a forward or elite defenseman, though I do think we probably won't resign Hudler and Homer may retire soon.

I can't believe that NJ would

I can't believe that NJ would actually let him go. Hedberg is not a starting goalie, and Brodeur, though he had his off nights, played really well in the playoffs. Can't blame him when you fail to score more than one goal with OT in the first two games of the finals.

Are the wings trying to sign

Are the wings trying to sign two defenseman to replace Lidstrom and Stuary, or just taking one elite one and trusting the rest of the D lineup

Do you guys think Suter is

Do you guys think Suter is the real deal, or just merely a good solid defenseman who reaps some of the benefits of playing with Weber? Do you think the Wings will go after a different defenseman or sign two fairly high level D-man instead of spending a lot of cap space on one player? Anyone have thoughts on Jason Garrison? Where do you all think Brodeur ends up?

Semin

I really hope we don't take Semin, he is extremely inconsistent and plays one-way hockey...

I think and interesting

I think and interesting solution would be to link interest rates to HS GPA and SAT/ACT scores(worse scores, high interest rate). It would encourage kids to work harder in school and make kids who may be less competitive in college to strongly consider what will be the option for their future.

The flip side to this is that kids with higher GPA/test scores usually go to be better schools and are probably more likely to pay off their loans more easily, while the kids who are being charged the higher interest rates are already less likely to easily pay off their loans.

He should probably just stick

He should probably just stick to the retail pretzel industry.

OSU: Win every game but

OSU: Win every game but one(providing they still lose most recruiting battles to us)

Ale all the way

Navarre:Nice to have as an option to use for a year or two if the depth chart is thin, wouldn't take him for four years, especially as our QB recruiting looks to really pick up again.

Probably had to move up his

Probably had to move up his decision date since Dantonio told him they were almost full at the players named Harris slot(especially with '13 WR Jay Harris committing earlier today).
