This reminds me of the…

This reminds me of the Roland Freisler's peoples court.

Interesting.

Taking down Bo's statue down…

Taking down Bo's statue down or renaming the hall is an ignorant statement. No one knows or will ever know what went down in relation to Bo's involvement with a perverted doctor. Was the doctor gay? If so should we blame the gay community also?

Why not just close down the entire University? This would seem more appropriate then to single out a few people, do you not think that the Board of regents didn't know? Doesn't this mean that the U of M is a corrupt institution even though this happened decade ago?

Stop the wokeness.

Great job!

That is the best I've seen in a long long while!

Go Blue!!!

A typical

political assination. The "club" didn't want RR playing in their sand box. As I've said before, the biggest mistake RR made was leaving WVA. He could have been the Bo of the university of WVA. Good luck RR, I'll be rooting for you.

Over

your head Sal. Michigan Football would never have treated any coach the way RR was treated if the two people that built the modern day program were still around. Bo and Canham. RR is caught in a POLITICAL VACUUM. Like I said before, THE BIGGEST MISTAKE RR MADE WAS  LEAVING WVA TO COACH MICHIGAN !!! SEE YA!

+1 to you!!! RR's biggest mistake

since arriving here at M was leaving WVA! This man had EVERYTHING going for him there. He left it all for the mystification of the block M and what did he receive from the very beginning? I'll tell you what! A bunch of BULL SHIT from people trying to fill the VOID that BO left! As a so-called "Walmart" Wolverine for over 40 years it saddens me to see RR attacked by M fans that in most cases KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL OTHER THEN WINS AND LOSSES.

My home is a "house divided" w/green and white, it may become one after watching this continued character assasination of RR.

It's not about the wins or losses. Do you really think RR would have been treated the way he has if Bo or Canham were still around? NOT NOT NOT!!!

RR has received

the SHAFT since his arrival, both from our great Detroit media and our fair weather fan base. All I can say is that it is a damn shame. RR never stood a chance, I for one and as a coach hopes DB will give him another year, he deserves it. The worst thing RR has done since he arrived at M is leave West Virgina!

You can hire or

fire all you want it will do no good. We need the young guys to get experience and RR to keep recruiting quality players for D.  Think about this, if we had an average defense we would be undeafeated!

Instead of constantly firing RR why

don't we take a look at the situation from his point of view? 1). Why don't I have any juniors or seniors capable of starting on d? 2). Why are there no semi competent starters on d? 3). If my d was average or a little better then average we would be undefeated. 4). Why can't the arm chair coaches read the situation I was placed in, and recognize what steps I'm taking to remedy this situation? 5). After building a great winning program at WV why did I come to Michigan and listen to all this BS from people who know little to nothing about coaching college D1 football. 6). I didn't know there were so many fair weather fans an M.

I just wish people would shut up and let this program take its course to the winning tradition again!

Let the negs begin, but please just SHUT UP about firing RR!

Agree

Man the out of bounds kicks were the real killers! We made it easy for Iowa to add points at critical spots in the game.

Ain't the coaches!

I was at the game last week. I sat in section 18 row 23 before the game watching the field goal kicker make 45 yard attempts before the game. The place kickers were booting the ball up the field in a normal fashion.

The issue seems to be that they cannot take the pressure during the game. It's like RR said, they do it in practice but during the game it is a dirrerent situation! Like turning a light switch on and off.

Dee going blue

Was listening to Rivals on Sirius this morning. Ferrall said the inside word is, is that Dee is going to play at the BIG HOUSE! Hope it's true.

tdeshetler

A friend of mine had 4 tickets for sale, I sent him a link to this thread, hopefully he still has them and will get a hold of you.

Good luck and I hope your family has a great time at the game!

Injuries matter

I'm not a football coach, I coach hockey but I can tell you that any injury this team suffers to a starter or his backup is critical. RR is coaching his way thru and out of a "limited" depth situation.  Take this win, be happy and hope other players emerge to fill positions of need in the near future. GERG is playing musical players with his D, there are good players in waiting they just need game experience. Be patient this team will do much better then last IF it stays healthy.

As a coach I would rather learn about my players abilities with a non-conference win then a conference loss.

You my friend

nailed it!

Carvin's coach said

he was a "player"!  RR and GERG must agree. Johnson looks like a GREAT pickup! To his coach, if your out there thank you!

RR had every right

to assume there was talent behind the Henne / Hart / everyone else talent level being an outsider, after all this is MICHIGAN football! For those who have been watching Michigan Football over the years should have noticed that very rarely did "back ups" play during several years prior to RR being hired. I remember Bo and MO would substitute players when the game was "in hand" to give them them the experience they needed when it was their turn to be the #1 guy. That didn't seem to happen much under Carr. The hockey equivalent would be to have your 1st line play the whole game, every game. Please don't get me wrong I'm not bashing Carr just pointing out my observations.

Anyhow I think this team is going to surprise us! GO BLUE!

There really are direct comparisons.

Bo was hired from the "outside" by Canham, he inherited a great group of players that fit his system. RR did not. Bo did not receive the flack that RR did when he was hired about not being a Michigan Man. Bo was allowed to coach unobstructed, he was a tremendous coach and built the phenomenon that is Michigan football today. RR needed to rebuild this team to fit his system, it makes no matter that players left, they left under Bo’s first year also.

RR will win also, he has a proven record at the D1 level, just as Bo did RR will bring back Michigan to its glory. Rebuilding doesn’t happen in a season, it could and will take RR several years. I’m not a blind follower, but I will give RR his due. We shall see, the future years of MIchigan football depend on RR 's success!

Using your theory,

Bo shouldn't have had the opportunity to coach at Michigan. The man that blessed us with over 40 years of the MIchigan winning tradition would never have been!

I think you are wrong, Michigan needed the change, some are still not ready for it.

It appears to me that

If WVU continued to follow the previous practice of practice, then it would seem the new incoming coach (Stewart) would also be unaware of the rules. Do we actually think for one minute that Stewart would knowingly break the rules as a newly crowned HC? For anyone to insinuate that RR is a cheat is a huge reach. It appears that these so-called rules are arbitrary and capricious at best. The NCAA should clean them up before punishing anyone. I think we need to keep this in perspective; these charges are about stretching, not about buying athletes vehicles and other goodies. This is ridiculous in my opinion.

NCAA

Isn't that an NCAA violation according to the fish wrapper FP.

Glasses

The finishing touch would be to have RR in Bo glasses!

Conway in #1

I think this Conway kid is going to be a big surprise!

Sorry guys

This story had me in tears. I think we all need to remember that it is not always about wins and loses. Life is short and what RR did for that family will help comfort them for the rest of their lives. Little David had a little piece of Michigan Football before his passing thanks to RR his wife and several Michigan men.

Wins are a good thing though.

BFF

Oh how I like Nebraska fans! Maybe we can tag team tOSU!

MT a Michigan Man?

I've watched M football for 40 years, MT is NOT a Michigan Man in the sense of Bo‘s model! If he was we would not be addressing this RR bashing. Trent should be banished from the M tent! What makes it worse is that he brought a former coach into his distasteful argument and misquoted him to address his grievance.

Trent should not go away mad, he should just go away.

More politics? In my opinion this is getting beyond the norm. It appears there is a strong political movement to 1). Terminate RR, or 2). Give a black eye to Michigan Football, or 3). Both of the above. Something smells fishy. I may be wrong but I don't think so.
I'll be there to see Brock lead the team out! This is what the University of Michigan is all about! People helping people. Hail to the Victors!
DG looks DG looks really good in that MICHIGAN uniform! I've seen him play for Inkster, their uniforms didn't do him justice!
Great bang for the buck I work for Ford in engineering, Product Development. You will not be sorry if you buy a Focus, as with any vehicle make sure you change the oil and fluids as recommended and it will last you for years! Good luck no matter what vehicle you purchase, I hope it will be domestic though.
Money? Just as our government, the NCAA has become an agency to collect money and provide a organization to boost peoples egos. Originally yes, now no.
Waste of time for the NCAA, if not it should rewrite its bylaws This whole NCAA thing is about picking fly shit out of pepper! I've read the allegations, pretty damn weak and foolish! I guess that is what helps justify having an NCAA.
Interesting RIVALS article http://michigan.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1049065
Stooping so low. I have done some things in my past (early teens) that I am not proud of. I was caught and did a few more stupid things afterward. I was hanging with the "wrong crowd". I got my shit together, joined the military and became a productive citizen. I have raised a great family and taught my children right from wrong a luxury I didn't have. I think young Mr. Dorsey has made a great choice coming to play for us. I will support him until HE forces me to do otherwise. We will see exactly how much of a "Michigan" family we have in A2 in the future. I think RR will guide this young man toward the right path. I have been involved in politics for many years, it is obvious that the FP and others are trying to politically assasinate RR and undermine his job and the Michigan program. It is very sad to see that they would stoop so low as to expose a young mans mistakes in their quest. I for one would like to welcome young Mr. Dorsey.
Future Fun This team is going to be fun to watch! Can't wait.
Wings! Maize and Blue, +1 thatis funny!
Carvin Johnson is proof RR can find the hidden gems. No one heard of Carvin several months ago, RR lands him, and now there are many teams that want him. His coach told us he was "a big time player" on this blog, when he was a "nobody". I'm looking forward to seeing him play with the big boys! Go Blue!
Trade Drew and Mike V. We should trade Drew and Mike V. for ???
Good indication! This seems to be a pretty good indication that RR knows talent and how to go after it on the recruiting trail. I see good things happening in the next couple of years in regards to + Michigan football. Congrats, Tate, Craig, Roy and Jordan. Go Blue!
I'm getting really excited! Anyone have season tickets for sale in row "A"? If you build it, a NC will come! Welcome Mr. Ash!!! Thanks RR!!!
A healthy Minor= In my opinion a healthy Brandon Minor = possibly three wins, when healthy he is a very good RB, heck even hurt he is a bull! I feel for him, I watched as he walked out with his parents before the tOSU game not in uniform, he has a lot of guts. Thanks Brandon for all your efforts! You are a Michigan Man!
Welcome Ray Vinopal Welcome to the Michigan family! I hope you have great success here and may your talents help us defeat tOSU!
Thanks Tom VH! I don't know you and I'm a newbe to the blog. Man it is nice to get "real" information concerning Michigan Football! I look forward to more of your post! Go Blue.
3 more from me. Devin is up to 7%.
Tarnished a Michigan University! If this is true, I wouldn't send my kid to play there. MSU is still a Michigan tax payer supported school, someone should be held accountable, and more then just the players!
Please be patient. RR is rebuilding a totally different beast, this takes time. I believe given time he will succeed. Give RR three years, we won't be sorry, IMO. RR recruiting classes look very good!
35% of the BIG HOUSE filled with Bucknuts! I've been a fan of Michigan Football since the early 70's. This was the first year I bought season tickets and I bought them to watch the great change taking place first hand. I was not disappointed, I enjoyed the ups and downs with the very young team RR fielded. This was a great experience! If RR doesn't end up in the "political graveyard" Michigan will be back in the NC race, IN TIME! What I am disappointed about is the negative fan base and most importantly the so-called season ticket holders that SOLD THEIR TICKETS TO OSU fans. If you are a fair weather fan holding season tickets please don't renew them! We had a bunch of talented recruits present at the OSU game and the stadium was filled with OSU fans. Thanks for helping the MICHIGAN recruiting effort you turn coat UM fans! Bo is rolling over in his grave. Sorry, for the rant, I really want to see Michigan football succeed!
Superfan=good 1st year season ticket holder Sec 18. We appreciate the lift that you give the fans. Keep it up, we will continue to help spark up the crowd with you. Go Blue!!!
D-Rob Final Drive Hi Everyone, New to the blog, I've been watching M football since the Bo years. Let's not rag RR, he did what he thought was the right thing to do given the game situation. RR is building a team that will be very competitive and very exciting! What would everyone be saying if Denard didn't throw the pass and ran for gobs of yards or even a TD, he had the opportunity? M will be great in the near future, let's not make it any harder on the Coaches or Players by bitching about something we have no control over. GO BLUE!!!
