Funny how everybody hates…

Funny how everybody hates passivity in a program, yet they root for, or attended our school. Make up your mind.

It's as if some of you are oblivious to the fact that the culture here is, and has been, passive for decades.

See the Moeller firing, Lloyd not saying shit while Urban Meyer advocated for his team, not a peep being made all those years OSU cheated and we lost to them, the Ohio fanboy refs (JT was short), no one even remotely suggesting we get the title Louisville vacated because of whores and drugs, not putting the Fab Five's banners back up, the fact we couldn't get a holding penalty called in our favor for like a decade,  etc, etc.

Where has this energy been from all you tough guys? It's been Jimminy for a looooooong time.

Now, you're all suddenly so bothered by it, you want a Michigan man fired right after we win our first natty in forever. And half of you mfs aren't even Michigan men yourself! Stans running the asylum.

It's all goofy asf. Yet typical, and rather predictable.

Btw...Loved Manuel's swag at the May introductory presser. It's as if he was saying "stfu you whiny fucks, I know what I'm doing. Go back to your desks, and leave sports to sports people, not your corny, probably prejudiced, never played or coached a damn thing, ass. Zip it nerd."

Gold! 💪🏾

And also why Johnson staying…

And also why Johnson staying was so big.

I don't understand why you…

I don't understand why you don't understand it. It's obvious. And doesn't exist all the the same time!

Some people will always have…

Some people will always have an almost ingrained issue with someone like Manuel being in power. I saw it with Jerry Reese as a Giants fan right after the 2 SBs he won that franchise.

Despite generations of precedent all around the world, these people actually believe it has nothing to do with what it usually has something to do with.

Who are these people? Winner gets a prize.

Seconded.

Seconded.

Planks can help with that.

My thing is, wtf is he doing…

My thing is, wtf is he doing driving in A2 at 3 am? It's bad enough you closed the bar down your first month in town, but then what? I hear the Vu is back open! Jesus. The city damn near shuts down around 11 for grownups. You have to be dedicated to keep the party going, let alone til 3 in the morning!

What a dumb ass. Right…

What a dumb ass. Right before the portal opens back up too. Terrible terrible timing. Not a fan of his early, but you can't fire him right now. Give him the juwan you better not slap again deal.

I wonder if "Warde" now…

I wonder if "Warde" now meets the stringent standards of the many MGoAthleticsAdministrators in here, constantly fucking whining when they don't know shit about what's going on. Shut up and let things play out.

Weird how almost everybody…

Weird how almost everybody refers to Manuel, Howard, and Moore by their first names like they know them, but Jim is always "Harbaugh", JB was always "Belein", etc. Even Brandon was never referred to as just "Dave." Funny. It's probably one giant coincidence huh?

Williams displayed way more…

Williams displayed way more touch than JJ, and better accuracy too.

Does he have a lot to prove…

Does he have a lot to prove as far as accuracy and touch are concerned? Yes. Does he have an NFL arm? Also, yes. Obvi.

Has he displayed leadership, resilience, clutchness, humility, loyalty, and just about every other intangible trait you'd want your franchise QB to have? Hell yes.

Some people can only see stats though, and that's fine. But that's problematic when assessing a UM era Harbaugh QB or WR. Flat out.

Maybe he pans out, maybe he doesn't, but as of now, he checks a lot of boxes. Plus he's been the apprentice of a former successful NFL QB and NFL Coach for the last three years. Plus, he's mobile.

What's not to like?

Orji?? No. He's more athletic, way less cerebral, not even close as an actual QB (we think) skill wise, way less accurate. Terrible comp.

Way stronger arm, but less…

Way stronger arm, but less accurate. Similar mobility, similar leadership. But Donavan was soft imo. Didn't seem to care much about winning when the deck was stacked. But that's the opinion of a lifelong Giants fan so...

Especially when his talent level is nowhere near the level of a Michigan athlete.

This is slightly concerning…

This is slightly concerning. Hopefully his passing game is better than it was at WB. One of the most basic offenses I've seen in 20 years of coaching. Jet sweep, QB draw, Inside zone, fade. Rinse and repeat.

"Got lucky" is an…

"Got lucky" is an embarrassingly wild statement. Almost Sparty esque.

My issue is that he wasn't…

My issue is that he wasn't qualified to be our HC in the first place, imo. He had no experience in the league as a head, and he had no college coaching experience at all. Harbs had plenty of both. And success. Therefore, he deserved more benefit of the doubt.

So now that Howard's lack of experience is seemingly rearing its head, I think he should move on.

Not to mention the slap, the blaming of his players for lack of effort, the gross mismanagement of his coaching staff, the implication that everything is the problem except him ( the shit works), the lack of contrition for making an ass of us all (I'm from Chicago, I was defending myself), his GLIAC level son seeing the floor, etc, etc only serves to twist the skewer into my eyeballs.

Lol, he really butchered the…

Lol, he really butchered the term. It's what DBs scream when they get a pick, so their teammates know to block. It's also fun to yell out, I think it makes them more aggressive on the ball.

Now the blog's rife with NIL experts. That I promise dk shit about the intricacies of the topic.

Let's not forget that Saddi…

Let's not forget that Saddi was good enough to be the interim when JB was having health issues, as we were a top 3 team. He's somehow not good enough to step into that role for Juwan. Funny. Saddi's also BFFs w Sanderson, so there's that.

Terrible look.

Your assumption is correct…

Your assumption is correct. The clock was irrelevant because of OT rules.

I'd bet a dollar to a dime he never gets around to doing so.

The Moore hire may have been…

The Moore hire may have been a mistake. Howardian even.

Yes it does. Its also…

Yes it does. Its also concerning that he was on staff with these guys. They know him. And yet none of the defensive staff likes, trusts, respects, etc. him enough to stay on his staff and run it back. As someone who's been on several coaching staffs before, it says a lot.

On top of that these coaches have lives here. Homes,  friends, family, and all that. Yet they're choosing to jump to the NFL all the way in SoCal than stay and build with Moore.

No Bueno.

It should be pretty obvious…

It should be pretty obvious. But grown ass men unable to see past their infatuation for Harbaugh is a thing in here.

If I was Deion, I'd throw on…

If I was Deion, I'd throw on a UCLA cap so fast I'd get hat burn. Marcus the midget voice.

They're doing so much to…

They're doing so much to beat us, that I think they're kind of forgetting that there's a 12 team playoff, and team chemistry/cohesiveness throughout an entire season is as important as ever, much like the NFL.

Doing all this to beat us, A. May not work, and B. Even if it does work, you probably have to beat us twice, stay healthy, peak at the right time, and also match up well with other teams, not just us.

We really are in their heads.

How is it a DB scheme? It's…

How is it a DB scheme? It's not a man scheme per se.

Yes. I don't think we should…

Yes. I don't think we should expect him to stick around for a considerable amount of time. But that's what we have Clink for right?

As a lifelong Giants fan and…

As a lifelong Giants fan and football aficionado, Wink would be a decent hire imo. I liked him in NY, but the offense was so bad that his effectiveness was watered way down. It got to the point where the defense eas on the field too much, guys were getting banged up, and the levee kind of broke, so to speak.

We don't need a miracle worker. We have one of the most talented defenses in the nation. Imo, it stacks up nicely for an old guy like Wink, who likely will only stay a year or two. Then by the time we need a stalwart at DC, Clink steps in.

Hopefully...

Battle Creek Central? My mom…

Battle Creek Central? My mom probably went to HS with your dad. I think she was c/o '72.

Anyway, my first memory of Michigan was when I was 7. I grew up in Lansing and my dad went to State, so we had season tickets to their football games the year they won the Rose Bowl.

I basically became the ball boy and got to hang out with Rison, James Moore (Big Red Family), McCalister, etc. after games.

I was being groomed as a Spartan ruffian and didn't know even realize it! Pure Evil. I remember the week that they played us (UM), hearing about this big, bad team in blue named the Michigan Wolverines.

I remember it being explained that Michigan usually beat State, but this time, Sparty would come out on top. They did, then went on to win the Rose Bowl.

I ended up on the front page of the Free Press greeting my big cuz, James Moore, at Capital City Airport when they returned. I've since burned the evidence haha. This was obviously a huge deal to me at the time. By now you're ready to spit up because you'd think that it was settled, I was a Sparty. But nope!

I have an older brother who'd moved away to Houston years earlier, and he moved back to Michigan right around the day of the MSU Rose Bowl. I worshipped him. He was a huge UM fan from the Anthony Carter days. I watched our bowl game that year with him (was it the HOF Bowl vs Bama year?)and we won.

The following fall, he bought me a McMurtry football costume for Halloween and took me trick or treating. I was sold. My Mom was in on the fix, and she eventually decorated my entire room in UM colors and accessories.

My blood turned a deep blue shade, and my eyes jaundiced.

Shortly after that, we went on a Harbaughian run against the B1G in football, won the natty in hoop, Dez and the pose happened, the Fab Five danced on Sparty's shit, etc. What a time to be alive!

Forever Go Blue!
