Undefeated. Book it. Take it to the bank. #FeelsLike97
|4 days 22 hours ago||Nope.||
LeBron is heading to Detroit.
|4 days 22 hours ago||Agree with Magnus.||
It's nothing against Malzone, I just felt there were several uncommitted guys [that were better] we could have put the full court press on. Malzone would've still been available in December, IMO. You keep recruiting Malzone by letting him know he can earn an offer during his senior season, all while going hard after Torrance Gibson, Blake Barnett (when he became available), and Kyle Kearns.
I mean Tennessee is in the "driver's seat" for Torrance Gibson. You cannot tell me that Michigan does not have more to offer than Tennessee and SMU for Kearns.
|4 days 22 hours ago||I haven't watched...||
I have not watched and won't pretend to know how he's doing, but Shane was getting GREAT reviews from Dilfer the entire time he was there and then didn't crack the "elite 11." I don't really put much stock into what Trent Dilfer (or his "experts") say in a shorts and t-shirt atmosphere.
There is way more to being a QB than putting them through a controlled "chaos" drill. I didn't like the Malzone offer when it went out, but truth-be-told, the kid loves and will fight for Michigan, and I'll take that type any day over a kid like Mallett who runs when things get tough.
|5 days 10 hours ago||Those bleachers.||
I will actually miss those things. I paid like $25/ticket for 2nd row two years ago (when people thought they were going to be fairly good.) Made it an easy trip from Nashville, but the fact we play them like every six years now neutralizes the point.
|5 days 19 hours ago||Interesting, so many names.||
So many names are sticking out to me, but I'll go with:
RB - Justice Hayes, he seriously looked the best in spring practice. Would be nice to have a 2011-Fitz like breakout of 1,000 yards.
OL - Kalis, in particular, the lights turn on him for him this season.
Defense: I hope to God it's whoever starts at safety opposite of Jarrod Wilson. It's nerveracking not having a starting safety in place yet. It'd be even scarier if a true freshman in Peppers had to drop back to safety by default of Thomas, Clark ect. ect. not stepping up.
|5 days 21 hours ago||Excellent work.||
Glad I requested this. I'm not sure why, but I'm somewhat surprised to see Penn State ahead of us in the B1G. Living in TN, I'm not that surprised that Tennessee is close to the top; however, it did surprise me they were ahead of Florida.
In other news, it's nice to see that Maryland and Rutgers both take advantage of their fertile recruiting grounds. /s
|5 days 23 hours ago||Scheme?||
How in the world are some of you saying Michigan has the advantage in scheme? I just watched a video of Michigan's 2013 OL sliding left and leaving Derrick Green 1 on 1 with Randy Gregory. Sure, Borges is gone, but we have no idea what our offensive scheme will look like in 2014.
We could be the 2012 Alabama offense, the 2005-06 Texas offense, or the 2008 Michigan offense. Truth be told, none of know what sort of scheme Nuss is going to run other than what "he wants to do..." Run it down their throat, play-action, yada yada yada (the same things Borges wanted to do but couldn't.)
Hopefully "the tide of the rivalry starts to turn," but I'm not getting my hopes of until we can beat the Akron's of the world in a dominating fashion again.
|6 days 12 hours ago||Well let's be real...............||
We will never lose again, whether Harris comes or not. Why? Because we have Jabrill Peppers.
|6 days 12 hours ago||Last year.||
Perhaps a small sample size, but last year I truly thought we were going undefeated after smacking ND around. Obviously, much liquor was consumed from week 3 on.
|6 days 23 hours ago||Easy for me.||
1.) Ohio State
2.) Michigan State
3.) Notre Dame
I'd even put Penn State ahead of Notre Dame if we were going that route. We have to beat Ohio State. Hoke cannot afford to go 0-3 vs Urban, not that he can really afford to go 1-3 vs Dantonio.

But am I the only one that still eats at Gabriel's Hoagie Shop in Ypsi every Saturday? Haha.
|1 week 4 days ago||Where do we turn?||
Does anyone know really where we are turning? I haven't heard any names with interest other than the Tate kid? Granted, we are not in a huge need for a WR. As it stands now, we have this coming back in 2015:
Dukes, Jones, and York will all be RS Sophomores in 2015 I believe.
|1 week 4 days ago||GET ME OUT OF THE OFFICE.||
I envy those of you who have today off. SEVEN more hours and let's get the whisky flowing!
|1 week 4 days ago||Hey, guys. & gals. Let's stop.||
We are going undefeated for the next decade. Sorry 'bout it.
|1 week 4 days ago||Definitely.||
It always hurts to miss on recruits of their caliber, but luckily we finally have depth so it doesn't hurt as bad as say losing Dorsey to academics, or Kris Frost to Auburn. Landing Boykin would be awesome, but obviously not expecting it.
|1 week 4 days ago||Love Nike, hate Adidas.||
But, I wouldn't mind Michigan going to Champion or back to Russell, if the price is right of course. PLEASE, for the love of God, Dave Brandon, don't make us wear Adidas gear anymore.
|1 week 5 days ago||Well, that's nice.||
But, Devin Gardner is 6'4, 210 pounds and stick figure is the first thing that comes to my mind. The fact that our starting QB, who was a WR, is as big as our freshman linebacker, tells me that backer needs to hit the weightroom and take a redshirt. Probably needs 20 pounds before seeing the field.
|1 week 5 days ago||Not bad.||
Someone get Pallante and Furbush a few cheeseburgers and into the weightroom seven days a week. 6'4 210 pounds is a stick figure practically.
|1 week 5 days ago||Definitely in the minority here.....||
BUT, I actually think Maryland will eventually do well and be a good pick up for the B1G. Rutgers is a tire-fire of an addition.
Maryland will help add a solid basketball and baseball program, and they've had some success in the 21st century in football while being practically bankrupt. Put them into Jim Delany's pockets, and I could see their football program getting to the level of a Baylor (weird uniforms, upgraded stadium, talent rich recruiting area, bowl team every year and challenger in the conference every couple of years.)
I did however see the first SEC joke towards the addition last night on Twitter: "I can't think of anything more appropriate than a turtle going to the Big 10. #B1GSpeed" I must admit that even I laughed at the joke a bit.
|1 week 6 days ago||13 years old at the time....||
Man, those were the days. Just to echo what others have said, I vividly remember Chris Perry's TD run. Growing up, it felt like Chris Perry was at Michigan for a decade.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Water.||
I'm still hungover from last night's debacle at three different bars. 23 going on 40.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||That makes sense.||
I guess I've just never followed it closely enough to really understand it. If I took the time to read up on its history and how the numbers are calculated, I'd probably be able to get into it. It probably doesn't help that this is the only place I can go to have an intelligent conversation with someone on the subject.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Can I ask.........||
Can I ask a serious question and not get bombarded with negativity? I'm not trying to be a prick - I promise. I was born in Michigan, but grew up in TN due to General Motors demise. Does anyone (outside of Michigan & apparently Stanford) truly care about this "Director's Cup" thing?
Honestly, I've been a die hard Michigan fan my entire life [growing up mostly in the south] and had never even heard of this thing, outside of an occassional ESPN update, until 2010-11(?) when I started reading the blog. I see Denard post stuff about it all the time on Twitter, and he gets typical southern responses from people in Florida like "who cares..." "must be a Big Ten thing..." ect. ect.
With that being said, what purpose does this "cup" serve? Does it truly enhance a university's stature by winning it? What are the positives to being in the running for a "Director's Cup?" Again, the only reason I ask, is because no one here in the south, to my knowledge has any idea this even exists.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||My only question?||
Who loses another game first? Basketball or football, because I've layed my eyes upon schedules to the year 2026 and see nary a loss in sight for either squad.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||LONGEST WEEK EVER.||
This week has went by so slow, so naturally I am just hoping it goes by just as slow while I drink everything at the bar tonight!!!!!
|2 weeks 2 days ago||J-MOOOO||
No pressure on Donnal, Doyle, and Bielfeldt: they are just trying to replace one of the most beloved Michigan big man on and off the court in quite some time.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Yeah, great attitude.||
That's the TICKET to get the program back to where it needs to be. Go hang out on the Red Cedar Message Board if you truly feel that way.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Great news!||
Two down, two more to go. Go blue!
