the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

Trey was lights out good during the non-conference, but I don't think he's been at POY level during Big Ten play. His FG% has significantly dropped, only 43% in B1G, and hasn't always been the offensive facilitator he needs to be. |

| 31 weeks 3 days ago | I think Mgoblog's readership |
I think Mgoblog's readership numbers lagged this summer because the content was just not good, which I actually complained about to my girlfriend. There was basically nothing to read until about 1.5 weeks before the season, when tons and tons of previews went up. I mean, Brian could have UFR'ed the Sugar Bowl, put up season previews a little earlier, or invested in making the website better (commenting system, mgoboard, non-ugly redesign), but we got pretty much nothing over the summer. |

Devin Gardner still extremely raw at WR, to the point where he probably shouldn't be on the field yet. He ran a lazy route and came out of his cut with little effort leading to the first(?) Denard INT. And again dropped a bomb looking over the wrong shoulder. |

hmm, im trying to use the native VPN client on OSX 10.8 Mountiain Lion. I can only use the Alumni-retiree configuration, which doesn't load the site. |

Note to Brian: there are bleachers against one side of the Michigan practice field that will allow you to see over the black-wrapped fence and watch practice. Note to Heiko: do this. |

Its unfortunate that the Buckeyes are the biggest benefactor of the PSU bomb, as they recruit very heavily in PA and now have one less power to compete with in their division. |

I saw TDK and can't remember too much about it except that everything was.....blue. Like they filmed the movie and then put a blue filter over it. |
| 46 weeks 9 hours ago | Why do the US commentators |
Why do the US commentators back in the studio feel the need to do this as well? When watching international soccer do we have to abandon American English, and start using British phrases like "he's done well here" that commentators would never otherwise say about basketball or baseball players? |
| 46 weeks 9 hours ago | So it's occurred to me |
So it's occurred to me watching UEFA that the British announcer keeps saying "Spain have ..." instead of "Spain has ...", and now the fat US commentator is emulating that. Is this a British thing? It's grammatically jarring to my ears. |
| 46 weeks 1 day ago | GREAT MOVE BY FORCIER! |
GREAT MOVE BY FORCIER! probably on my personal top 10. http://www.youtube.com/embed/1gDv0HMTJEY
It's interesting though, a great accompanying call by the announcer elevates the moment. "Hello Heisman" must be the most apropos call of all time, and we can't forget Ufer during AC catch. If only the announcer during Woodson's punt return had delivered a similar narration it would replay more frequently in my mind. |

With so many successful teams, I don't get why Michigan is unable to win more NCAA National Championships. I guess the BigTen being the goal mentality goes back to Bo, but it's surprising that we don't have a sport that we simply dominate year to year, like NW with w lax, or PSU with Volleyball. Lord knows we've got the resources. |

| 47 weeks 2 days ago | Having gone to UM and then |
Having gone to UM and then lived in Chapel Hill, there is really something special about the Duke-UNC rivalry that in some senses makes it better than the OSU-Michigan rivalry. The biggest being that they've arguably been the #1 and #2 programs in the nation for 30 some years now, and have the NCAA championships to show it, and are in the yearly discussion for best team in the country. OSU and Michigan have won only 2 NC's in the past 30 years, and the Big Ten lore has depreciated in recent years. And the campuses are separated by 8 miles! Could you imagine if driving down the road to Ypsi meant being at Ohio State instead of being at Eastern, and how much more intense that would make the rivalry? |

Funny, I hope Wisconsin has an excellent year since they don't play us, but do have opportunities to take down OSU, MSU, and other division rivals. |

Brandon Minor was one of the great casualties of RR's questionable personnel decisions. And of a Lloyd Carr memorial burned redshirt. He probably could have had one of the best years by a running back if he had a 5th year in 2010 and ran beside Denard. |

| 1 year 8 weeks ago | HS kids do go through very |
HS kids do go through very different growth sperts, so a valid point. The ideal preference is for coaches to have the full gamut of information on recruits (Junior summer camp, Senior year film) before accepting committments, then cherry picking the best. Some schools are actually able to do this, but I imagine it's more difficult with less in-state talent. |

Most of the very top prospects prefer to hold out until the AA game or signing day. By filling a position group early, you take yourself out of the race for these guys. |
| 1 year 8 weeks ago | Great advice, and also know |
Great advice, and also know that going from Business to Engineering can be done. While working full-time I've also been satisfying CS pre-reqs in preparation for going to a Masters program in Computer Science. I also landed a job building tech products despite my BBA, though it does take a LOT of work to get yourself in. |

I got my BBA at Ross. I don't think getting an undergraduate business degree is a good use of your college education. Recruiters will recruit smart people in any major at top schools, and I've met so many liberal arts majors from Ivies who are hired into the top consulting firms or Ibanks. If you really love finance or accounting, then go for it. But otherwise, an undergrad engineering degree with an MBA will open up so many more doors for you than a BBA and MBA. |
| 1 year 10 weeks ago | Very happy Northwestern lost |
Very happy Northwestern lost and won't be playing in the NCAA tournament. 1-10 vs. the top 50. Shouldn't get credit for being in a tough conference if you can't actually win any tough games. |
| 1 year 10 weeks ago | Northwestern has no business |
Northwestern has no business making the tournament over strong mid-majors who may be from a weaker conference. NW is something like 1-9 against the top 50. The NCAA committe is all about "who did you beat" and for NW they have 1 single quality win. The only reason they are near a bid is because their RPI is buoyed by playing in the B1G. It's a travesty to actual good basketball schools like Xavier and ODU that they won't be going in favor of a team that can't win a big game. Also NW is Michigan's academic BigTen rival and I hope to see them fail at everything always. |
