They offered 700k guaranteed - base & radio, etc. The b*tch running BSU offered him basically what he was already making, plus 350k-ish of incentives of varying attainability. It was a BS offer designed for CYA, so she'd look like she cared. So Stan Parrish got the nod and lost to Tulsa 45-13 - nowhere near as close as the score indicated - in a game where the line was something like -1.5. Davis could see where the program was headed and got out. And the next year the team stunk because Stan Parrish is 25 years past his sell-by date as an HC. |
