It's a good idea but not one that should be forced on people. I have no problem with laws protecting others from a person's bad decisions, e.g. drunk driving, but my neighbor's kid playing tackle football doesn't effect me.
I was telling my son how tough a spot it was for Thaw. Of course it's still his responsibility to secure the catch but he was sitting all game out at least since half time. That was a high pressure situation and I wasn't surprised he fumbled.

Bowl patches almost always look bad and this year's is no exception. The patch PSU wore last year looked nice but of course we need the white background so the corporate overlords can be represented.

I think it's valid to criticize his coaching. I believe he deserves more time and an opportunity to adjust like Harbaugh did (which was after many wanted him fired). I believe he also needs more support in getting players in. He's been in on some good players and lost talent for reasons that are not his fault. This is his first head coaching job which many forget. He was s rookie head coach at a level he's never coached at. Give him a chance to adjust.

Oh, Mgobules, I can't say how much I appreciate this comment. Reading this site is awesome most of the time but when people here sense blood in the water over firing a coach emotions override logic. JH hasn't performed great and could be fired (in the future) if the program doesn't improve. But performance-wise he deserves more time. It's crazy how Beilein is remembered. Like no one remembers losing to NJIT? How terrible those teams were at defense until he hired a "DC"? How poorly they played early in seasons? How and when he left the program?
Three anger management angle is ridiculously exaggerated. I knew it was getting crazy when supposed Michigan fans are judging a Michigan coach for defending a Michigan player from another coach (wasn't it Greg Gard the AH?)! Getting technicals? Unheard of! Defending his program when being criticized at practice by another coach on your staff who didn't have the class or respect to address it privately? Ridiculous! Sanderson filed a report? Must mean JH is 100% guilty bc that's what filing a report means.
JH needs to adjust like JH and hopefully the campus can support him in getting good players.

I would argue against the comparison about if the NC game was in Detroit. I live in HTX and there are a lot of people from Michigan and a significant population of alums (Alumni? Alumnus? Alumunuses?). I think it would be close to even at NRG.
I'd still prefer Washington I guess? Losing to UT while living here would be an experience.
