Still -- Declan Sullivan wasn't murder. It was negligence.

Murder and rape?

It's certainly something that ND isn't proud of, but you're not getting any of the facts straight. It was not a murder, it was a suicide. It was not rape (Seeburg even admitted it wasn't), it was sexual assault. Shembo touched her breasts. They did not have sex. Seeburg never claimed they did. Shembo denies touching her breast. I typically side with the victim in these cases, and I do with Seeburg.

You can criticize Notre Dame's campus security on how they handled the case if you wish (and I do...), but at least get the facts about the case straight. But, in all honesty, I'm not sure Michigan fans want to throw rocks at ND for players committing sexual assault.

Hegarty is a good player, but

Hegarty is a good player, but he's going to be supplanted by sophomore Quenton Nelson, who is a 5-star player coming out of HS. Sophomore Alex Bars is really pushing for playing time as well. Hegarty is planning on going to Northwestern where he won't have as much competition for a starting position and he'll be able to get a quality graduate degree.

The ACC has made it clear

The ACC has made it clear that whenever Notre Dame wants to become a full member of the conference, they've got a spot. This is partially why the ACC is doing what they are with ND. It comes with the understanding that if ever ND needs to join a conference, they'll stick with the conference they have the best relationship with.

Notre Dame is still

Notre Dame is still recruiting Bilal. Bilal and Barajas are both looked at as OLB's. ND is going hard after Justin Hilliard for ILB.

Oops. Hoke is 1-2, not 1-3 in

Oops. Hoke is 1-2, not 1-3 in bowl games.

Brian Kelly is 37-15 [71%] at

Brian Kelly is 37-15 [71%] at ND with a National Championship appearance and is 2-2 in bowl games. Brady Hoke is 26-13 [67%] and 1-3 in bowl games. Kelly also has a much longer head coaching career to use in his advantage. Perhaps the most significant difference, however, is that Kelly seems to have quite a bit of job security and people are generally optimistic about the direction of ND's program whereas Michigan seems to be in a bit of uncertainty. Winning changes everything, though [as does losing big.]

Notre Dame

He was reportedly at Notre Dame this Saturday and Sunday.

The new quarterback coach is

The new quarterback coach is rumored to be East Carolina Offensive Coordinator/QB coach Lincoln Riley. He's a good hire for Notre Dame.

Because in a spread offense,

Because in a spread offense, the slot receiver is really more of a hybrid running back. So they put the slot receivers with the running backs for practice.

Yes, they do.
Denbrock

Yes, they do.

Denbrock coaches outside receivers. Tony Alford coaches the running backs and slot receivers.

Coming from from the

Coming from from the blindside will be Tuitt and Jaylon Smith. In the middle is Nix. On the other side will be Sheldon Day and Prince Shembo with Ishaq Williams coming in at both positions at times.

Danny Spond (starting OLB) is

Danny Spond (starting OLB) is done playing. He had one too many debilitating migraine headaches.

Will Mahone (3rd string slot) is out with a high ankle sprain. Should be back by Michigan game.

Doug Randolph, true freshmen LB, is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

Backup DE Tony Springmann is out for the season with a knee injury.

S Nick Baratti was vying for a spot in the 2-deep. He's out for the season as well.

As it stands, the starting RG Ronnie Stanley is out but should be back this week.

Jackson has a legitimate

Jackson has a legitimate chance to make the 2016 Olympics. It's a personal goal of his. I don't think he's willing to sacrifice that goal for football.

I know it was blown out of I know it was blown out of proportion, but Lou was homesick last year. I don't think any serious thought was given to transfer. As for academic challenges, I am a fairly knowledgeable ND fan (jokes abound!) and that is news to me. I would check your source on that rumor.
Louis' mom has a very Louis' mom has a very important role in his life. She has said publicly that she wants him to stay and finish his degree. I think Lou will be back. If he plays well again next year, he'll be a top-10 pick. As it stands, he'll probably fall in the 20-32 pick.
Yes. 70/30 leaning towards I lettered in reposting my senior year. Sorry, again.
Yes. 70/30 leaning towards I'm sorry. Repost.
Yes. 70/30 leaning towards Yes. 70/30 leaning towards entering the draft. I'm not sure he'll get a high enough grade to enter the draft.
Notre Dame I'll provide a bit of perspective about Notre Dame's roster next year as there seems to be some confusion. They lose: Manti T'eo - starting LB Theo Riddick - starting RB Braxton Cave - starting C Mike Golic, Jr. - starting RG Zeke Motta - starting safety Kapron Lewis-Moore - starting DE Tyler Eifert - starting TE Robby Toma - key contributor at WR -- they will also lose some other non-contributers They have the chance to bring back as 5th years: Zach Martin - starting LT Chris Watt - starting LG Carlo Calabrese - starting LB Dan Fox - LB On top of that, these starters will return on offense: Everett Golson - QB Cierre Wood - RB (though there are rumors he might enter the draft) Chris Lombard - RT DaVaris Daniels - WR TJ Jones - WR Daniel Smith - part-time starter at WR ** I would guess that Martin and Watt will be back so that leaves 8 starters returning on offense. These starters will return on defense: Louis Nix: NG Stephon Tuitt: DE Prince Shembo: LB Danny Spond: LB Bennett Jackson: CB KeiVarae Russell: CB Matthias Farley: S ** I would guess that one of Fox/Calabrese will be asked back meaning 8 starters will be returning on defense. Though Notre Dame loses some very, very good players, they have a very good group returning. Louis Nix might be the best NG in college football next year. Stephon Tuitt will be one of the best DE's. Shembo is a very good LB that brings a ton of pressure. Filling in next year will be 5-star DE Sheldon Day who has had a terrific freshmen season. I would guess that consensus 5-star LB Jaylon Smith will get early playing time as well.
Notre Dame Notre Dame should have Chris Watt, Chris Lombard, and Zach Martin coming back. On top of that, they have some quality backups that should pretty easily move into a starter role. ND's offense should improved next year (especially if Cierre Wood returns).
Not sure the exact numbers, Sorry, repost.
Not sure the exact numbers,

Not sure the exact numbers, but Navy was hoping to break even and ND was looking to make a decent amount of money. Navy was the home team.

You are correct. Utupo isn't

You are correct. Utupo isn't a factor. He's a special teams player. Wood is a huge loss. This leaves the depth at Theo Riddick, George Atkinson, II, and then a freshman (Will Mahone).

Frank Leahy

I know this isn't very popular on MGOblog, but I think Frank Leahy should be included.

He was 20-2 at Boston College with a Sugar Bowl win.

He was 87-11-9 at Notre Dame with four national championships (43, 46, 47, 49). His winning percentage was .864.

John Goodman

A correction: John Goodman (Notre Dame WR) is returning this year as a 5th year player.

Ouch.
He was on his

Ouch.

He was on his official visit to South Florida.

The ND defense didn't look

The ND defense didn't look all that hot because Manti Te'o, Stephon Tuitt, Kapron Lewis-Moore, Zeke Motta, Jamoris Slaughter, Danny Spond, and Bennett Jackson all only played one series.

This game was for the second and third stringers on defense.

#4 is George Atkinson. He's

#4 is George Atkinson. He's third on the depth chart behind Cierre Wood and Theo Riddick.

Ragone

Ragone didn't get invited for a 5th year of eligibility. He didn't technically transfer as he graduated and will now be getting his Masters degree at Kansas.

Notre Dame and Scout

Scout moved all of ND players up to 4-star except Devin Butler (who is a 3-star) and Rashad Kinlaw (unranked). This happened a few days ago.

This means that even Corey Robinson has a 4-star from one of the sites.

Thanks for your work on this.
