I'm just really interested in Michigan getting a 5 star player who lives up to expectations. When looking at the five-stars on rivals that Michigan has gotten over the years, it looks to be about 50/50. Also, they have not fared well with bulldozing running backs in recent years. Grady, Hopkins, and Rawls didn't really show anything. (Rawls is still young)

I'm not being negative on Rich Rod because he recruited the sleepers that fit his system the best. Yet, I do remember becoming a little frustrated because Michigan was not really being considered by any of the top 100 players. Now days Hoke and company have gather the interest of players not only in the top 100, but in the top 10. It's really exciting to have Michigan in the conversation for some of the most elite athlete in the nation.

The reason is when 2k rivaled EA in making a college football game they fought over the exclusive rights too many things. For example, 2k had the rights to the Rose Bowl and EA had the exclusive rights to the Orange, Sugar, and Fiesta bowls. Also, 2k had the Maxwell Award while EA had the Heisman. This will be the same with brands such as Nike and Adidas, which could possibly cause a specific teams uniforms not being in a game. I'm 30 and I do believe some people are too young to even remember this problem. I will agree that EA doesn't have the greatest game play sometimes, but it is nice to have everything in one game. What will end up happening will be a bidding war for all of the rights to everything. That's how EA won in the long run in getting the exclusive rights to college football because they had more money. I know there is good intention behind this, but it's just going to cause a problem in the end.

Not necessarily, Henne didn't need a backup his freshman through junior year. It was due to injury his senior that Mallet even played. The backup wasn't all that important till the spread was introduced. In the pro set days the backup would usually just see garbage time.

No way Shane pushes Devin for the starting job. That would be dropping the playbook from 90 percent to 20 at most.

He just got buried by all the young talent and never really stood out as somebody who was going to legitly compete for a starting position and maintain it. I would have to guess him and Marvin probably discuss their departure together.

Well I haven't worn my photo bomb t-shirt in any interesting places, but I have worn my "worst state ever" all over Europe. I have had more conversations start while wearing that shirt than any other. Airports in the US have by far got the most laughs or vicious looks. I do have some photos of me wearing it in front of some famous places in Europe.

The one thing that really sticks out for me is that the team has 59 freshmen and sophomores on the roster, counting redshirts. Which will make a hell of a strong team next year.

Good response. I kind of have a hard time seeing a high caliber ACC team that the Big Ten would be interested in wanting to go through all the legal proceedings. I would have to say no with North Carolina because of the rivalry with Duke, but would a Georgia Tech be interested in something like that? Or would a Virginia even can be worth it for the conference?

Not until the ACC's TV contract is over. It would cost a current team close to a hundred million dollars to leave the conference now.

I can see it resume in the not so distant future, but with all the contracts now it's hard to see anybody doing anything at the present time.

I was completely disappointed when that fell through between the Big Ten in the PAC 12.

I'd say right now one and two would be a stretch. My guess would be there probably not recruiting him that hard, but have a backup plan in case they don't get Peppers or any other big name.

There's no way that they're going to be able to take an ACC school now. With the new ACC media hold it would cost a school roughly a hundred million dollars (no joke) to leave the ACC. Expansion is over until the ACC's media contract gets closer to the end of its expiration.

The quality of Team 13 and 14 could have been better for the big 10 though. They should have stayed at 12, but when they made the decision to switch to 14 they drug their feet too long. Teams that they raise their nose at for decades would have been a better pick than what they picked up.

Because the Big 12 doesn't have even distribution of their media money Texas will make a lot more being in that conference, example Longhorn Network. Virginia is now out of the picture because of the ACC's new media stranglehold. It's more than likely that the expansion will come to a stop now.

Because if you don't play nine games then an entire class will not play another team in the conference. So Michigan would play Wisconsin every five to six years. You would have a class from freshman to senior year that would never play against Wisconsin.

Absolutely their goal is to get their type of arrogance going across coast to coast. With their two rivals in California and three of their ACC road games on the East Coast they can do that. It would be in their absolute least interest it to join the Big 10.

Outstanding athlete, my only concern though is academics. East St Louis is atrocious academically, historically having a higher dropout rate than graduation rate. Even though AYP is a joke, the school has performed so poorly that the administration and board have been removed and it is now being state ran starting this year. I personally do not know his scores, but he is not coming out of a very good educational environment.

My fear is that after EA loses the college football rights it will go back to how it used to be. Where 2k had the rights to the Rose Bowl and maxwell award and EA would have this other group of bowl games and the Heisman. No one has ever given a shit about Duke or Kentucky football, but there is a correlation between a team with a historically good football team and success from basketball. A quick example would be Florida and Ohio. When their basketball team'sl were doing well, the increase in the Universities exposure increased the quality of their recruiting classes. So what this comes down to is, when your schools name is in bright lights all the time, people come.
