Thanks for posting this … apologize if this has already been ask ed (I don’t see it) … is there a bar that Michigan fans might take over before the game? We didn’t do the Alumni Tailgate thing but were hoping that there is a consensus UM bar for pre-game tailgating. All of the 4 UM bars I’ve seen through the Alumni Association seem to be out in the suburbs … hoping for something downtown, in mid-town or near NRG (along the red line route maybe). Thanks and Go Blue.
They are just trying to get season ticket holders to all go digital - hence the ridiculous delivery charge. I don’t get the $10 for digital … just add it to the ticket price as there is no option to not have them delivered.
Boy I miss Mikey Smith … the offense looks so out of whack with Jones running it. He makes average defenses look to be elite and swarming. What I don’t get most of all is the pre-season hype about his defense - which is completely missing. He is continuously out of position, doesn’t get through picks (or switch correctly when he should) and can’t stay in front of other guards … it’s the complete opposite of what we’ve been told. I don’t get it …
To me - doesn’t seem like something he’s going to work his way through. I hope he is able to though or will be a really long season.
Lower bowl 50% empty (I was at the game). Lower bowl tix were like $200 per ticket a few weeks ago. All the blue hairs list their tix every week for sale for a fortune then just don’t show up when they don’t sell. It’s a joke. They should all start losing their season tix if they don’t have their tickets used for 90% of the games … at least let students use them vs letting the seat sit empty.
I am fairly certain Shea is hurt - really the only explanation given his 1 keep the entire game, him flailing on the ground without getting hit on the same play and his throwing motion being completely off. I am selling the idea of turtling and being a mental thing with Shea ... we take the bye week, fix the issues / get healthy, and go beat Wisconsin.
Have a 3rd party auditor conduct a mock draft at the end of each regular season and grant the kids in the first 4 rounds insurance equivalent to what they would lose in the event of a career ending injury for the bowl season ... this would limit the insurance to like 130 kids and eliminate the risk to them. Fund via a centralized NCAA fund. Least the NCAA can do given how much money they make off of these kids.
As much as I want Peters to be good . . . I think he's a bit of a head case. The moment he loses a bit of confidence it all falls apart. This was most evident in the South Carolina game ... complete collapse.
To be a Wolverine ... love when these guys come back to do this. Hoping one day we see guys like Jalen, Mo Wagner and even Mo Hurst. Great Michigan men ...
I think that the Michgan athletic department needs to do something about lower bowl season ticket holders that don't attend the games. I have tried on several occasions to get lower bowl tickets to UM hoops games against "less than stellar" teams for my son and i. The prices on Stubhub, etc are ridiculous . . . we then buy tix in the upper bowl and when at the game, realize that the lower bowl is half empty.
Either show up or lose your season tickets. We already have a horrible reputation for lower bowl ticket holders sitting on their hands quietly during the games - lets at least motivate people to show up.
By definition - believe you need to be a graduate.
On the topic of Dearborn and Flint - the bottom line is that admissions are "easier" at these schools. In that regard - the kids at these schools are competing against lesser "talent". I think I read that 19% of incoming freshmen into engineering in Ann Arbor were valedictorians or salutatorians. Since much of the grading is done on a bell curve - just based on the data one cannot compare Ann Arbor to Flint and/or Dearborn.
As an example I had a good friend with a 4.0 at Dearborn transfer to Ann Arbor after his sophomore year and had a 2.9 his last 2 years.
No Running Back in this class being pursued? I looked through the Scout list of RBs and the highest one with any mention of Michigan is Joe Mixon from California - a three star. Must be banking on both Smith and Green for 2013 . . . but think we'd still have at least one in the 2014 class.

Glad you had a good experience … I’m sure winning helped. Football crows is much different … will be interesting to hear you experience after that.
I think that you can print a backup with the barcode once you have them digitally and before you head to the game … not positive though

What has (hasn't) happened with Dymonte Thomas . . . can you imagine if he had panned out and was playing the other safety position with Peppers?
