the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

Yeah, who cares? No one. 9 teams in bowl games right? I think that's right. Yes, the top 6 of the SEC, year in and year out is untouchable, however beyond that, they are average. People also forget that Texas stood a good chance of defeating Bama until Colt McCoy was hurt. They still made that a game.

No, it's his. It has Michigan in the background as well. Definitely confusing.

Thanks. You're so helpful. I don't know what it would have mattered, you wouldn't have liked him anyway.

If you go, take subs. You know why.

I think there's a misconception out there that Webber doesn't care. I think he cares. I also think there are some hard feelings with the University that make him want to just stay back and root privately for this team. I also think he's incredibly embarrassed. He's a smart guy. he made a decision when he was younger that I will gaurentee he thinks about every single day because he had part in essentially taking three successful years from the program not to mention the TO. If he shows up, great I guess but I don't expect it and I don't really blame him. I don't think it's something where he is trying to stick it to anyone.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||Well, it wasn't a charge.||
Well, it wasn't a charge. That same play has been called a charge all year but it's not. I'm glad it went this way but it's the wrong call and the NCAA needs to fix it. I'm with Bilas.

Does anyone else think Mattison sounds like Bill Walton at times. I've thought that every since he got here.

Hanging the jersey isn't a question. Maybe retiring the number is but I think that's a yes too. He has all his individual achievments but he meant more to the program than just that. Hopefully his jersey would be the representation of a new era.

The funny thing about the Craft foul is that he wasn't even the first foul on the shot. That play was blown in three ways:
1. There was a foul before Craft was contacted
2. Craft wasn't even in position to take a charge
3. Craft's foot was over the circle.
Stellar job there in tking away at least 2 ISU points and probably 3. That completely changed the whole game. The ironic thing is that if you go back a month ago, ISU was screwed on a far more obvious call against Kansas in which a charge was not called when it was blatently obvious it should have been.

This is what we heard from the ISU side as well.
|9 weeks 1 day ago||They have lost twice since||
They have lost twice since Jan21. They have only lost to one unranked team (Nova). You could make a case they are one of the hottest teams in America. Michigan, to put it mildy, isn't just limping into the post season. They are in a wheelchair.

In his defense our bigs couldn't play defense without fouling. Once everyone had 3 fould in the first half, he didn't have much choice. Besides, size isn't why we got outrebounded. Effort is why.

I don't think that's fair to Ace. First of all, I don't know that he's a huge downgrade from Tim right now. he was at first but once he got his feet under him, he has been great. As far a Tom, he's where he is now for a reason. He had a lot of contacts and a great reputation. You aren't going to keep guys like that around a free site very long and people should just feel fortunate he was here as long as he was. Ace will continue to gain contacts and experience and get better. I'm assuming we are also talking about guys who aren't making themselves rich in these jobs. You guys also aren't giving Heiko credit for forging the thing I looked forward to more than any other content in the football season: His interaction with Borges.
I don't, know but all this seems like a bunch of bitching to bitch. There is plenty of stuff out there for Michigan and if you want dried out information go there. I enjoy the sytle of this site because I'm not reading a newspaper. I'm reading actual people who have a vested fan interest in what goes on and you do get more than the facts, especially with the Monday posts after games. It's much more relatable.

I'm an ISU and UM fan. I'm a much bigger ISU fan in terms of how much I care. All of that said, I read this blogs main content much more than I read the largest ISU information site's main content. It's because this stuff is fun to read. When I read the ISU stuff, it's a re-hash of what espn or some other news site wrote about the game or what the local paper wrote about something. It's just very bland. The humor and other off the wall stuff is what I like about this place.

Right, and I don't believe he can be full time. If you are a full time student, your clock starts. He can enroll though.

I don't think game time temperatue matters that much. Climate in general? Sure, but not specifically gametime. Besides you can also pitch the aspect that it's not so hot for so long up here.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||I think you guys are||
I think you guys are misunderstanding what he's saying. I think he wants to brainstorm ways to be more effective. There is no question that the B1G is behind. Night games were mentioned. That's a good point because a lot of recruits in the south have a long ways to go to get to a Big Ten game while some can drive or take a real short flight to an SEC game. I don't think this has to do with him chastizing the rest of the coaches as much as it has to do with figuring out ways to structure things in the conference to make recruiting easier or make the conference more attractive. It's pretty clear the BTN hasn't pushed them over the top. Ofc course, this comes from someone not in the "Fuck all things Urban" state of mind.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||I don't really think you know||
I don't really think you know what you're talking about. My guess is you look at box scores and simply the numbers to determine a players worth. There is more to look at and obviously people saw him play at least alright.
|15 weeks 9 hours ago||I agree. There is one private||
I agree. There is one private school I would choose over Michigan and it's MIT. Even then, it would come down to what I was going for. I think a lot of people maybe overlook the social aspect of college which, to me was pretty educational. That and time management. "How much can I drink and still get by" was a question I was tested on regularily.

I'm not qualified, which is probably good because I would just end up with confiscated beer and college girls which would lead to trouble.
|18 weeks 19 hours ago||I don't know if there's a joke I missed somewhere||
but I feel like since this will likely be common terminology in the future, I have a suggestion. "Road grader" would be the proper term as oppossed to "road grater." Although having a lineman who treats opposing linemen like blocks of cheese would be kind of cool, road grader is the correct term. I apologize for my OCD.
|18 weeks 2 days ago||If you have to wear a helmet,||
If you have to wear a helmet, it's likely dangerous. Common sense should tell us all that. These guys get enough money in their first contracts to live on if they want. They get free rides through college. They get a lot of things. If that isn't enough reward for the risk they take, they don't have to play.
To say this exploits the less fortunate guys is ridiculous. It gives far more of those less fortunate a better life than a worse life.

|21 weeks 2 days ago||There are numerous reaction||
There are numerous reaction videas from teams around the country when they find out they will be doing something different. I am in the "If you have tradtion sell it, if you don't, sell change" boat. I don't like a lot of the different uniforms because I think they are poorly designed. It would be ridiculous, though to claim Oregons flashiness does not attract young fans and sell apparrel. It's not just about getting recruits ( I don't think uniforms impact that). It's more about attracting attention. All you have to do is look at twitter on a fall Saturday and you can see that Oregon, among others, attract attention. I actually like the helmet. I like matte finish on about every helmet I have seen. I don't like the jerseys. I think they look cartoonish. Nike does a much better job with these things than Adidas has.
