I wonder again if what we're seeing is the product of Funk more than Nuss. I see it as a probable combination of
1)Nuss hasn't had enough time.
3)The position coaches are not competent.
I'm completely on board with the first. Not sure about the second but I could be convinced very easily. Feeling that a scrubbing could help the team as far as the third one goes.
|54 min 18 sec ago||Hmm. Re: Fred||
With the RBs' inability to run through the right hole, I would not be upset to see Fred retire. He was going to retire when his son graduated. Well...?
|3 days 9 hours ago||life altering injury||
I don't know if you mean the high ankle sprain, but I didn't see any evidence he had a concussion. The commentators even mentioned that nobody was looking at Shane because he didn't seem to be exhibiting any symptoms of concussion. I don't agree that he seemed "wobbly on his feet" due to a CHI. I think he was wobbly on his feet because his leg wasn't working.
If you don't have any more proof that he had a concussion than "he got hit and had problems walking (I'm going to ignore the ankle sprain)" I don't think that's a whole lot of proof.
Neg away, bitches. I don't think he was concussed and people are out of control about "THE FACT" he was.

He sounds like if he refines himself he could make a great motivational speaker speaker speaker speaker speaker...
|1 week 1 day ago||Can I do this?||
I would be all over it. I would drive the 4 hours to ann arbor to wave torch and stab pitchfork up and down this saturday.
|1 week 1 day ago||Hmm. Is this true?||
I don't know that I believe they would want to serve out the remainder of the school year. If they are offered a job at a school which was a football school for years, i think the calendar shifts to being a football calendar. They need to make a decision based on the the ability to make a coaching decision at the end of the football season. If they are not planning on making any major changes at the schools they are at, I would think they would be willing to move more quickly than the end of the academic year.
I could be completely off, however.
|1 week 1 day ago||Yeah but...||
When the dude swinging for the cheap seats bats .900, is that a bad thing? He dominated in the NFL, taking a terrible team to the SB after taking a doormat to NC levels in CFB. Where's the downside to swinging for the cheap seats?
|1 week 1 day ago||Yes.||
Yes. This. I don't think I want The Hat running the show. Good coach? Probably. Crazy? Probably.
|1 week 1 day ago||Thanks SC||
This is has was pointed to earlier, but your post is much more coherent and well laid out than the one I agreed with earlier. This makes exactly the points I didn't articulate earlier in a response.
|1 week 1 day ago||Yes.||
This was a portion which make the whole thing seem unlikely. It could be his wording, but this portion of the article makes me thing shock-jock sports radio. It would be GREAT if either Harbaugh would leave the NFL, but I don't see it. Not even a little.
|1 week 3 days ago||I've got to say||
I've only watched one game this year. I've been busy. I've recorded them all so I could watch then later. But I've read the results first and haven't seen any reason to punish myself. I have this game recorded but I think I have a good handle on it. Gardner is throwing the ball away, hoke is screwing up special teams and has no intent to make a change to help the team, and Morrison is not ready. Did I miss anything?

I find $350 off contract to be better than $700-$800 off contact, personally. You, however may prefer to either be locked into a contract and pay $1000+ for a phone or pay $700+ up front. I do not.
|1 week 4 days ago||Email me|
|1 week 4 days ago||Hmm.||
You go right along with your bad self.
|1 week 4 days ago||not terribly expensive||
only 350 for a high-end smartphone off contract
|1 week 4 days ago||Not the game.||
It's a phone you need an invitation to buy. I know some people had expressed interest previously. Other than me.
|2 weeks 8 hours ago||To be fair to the OL||
There hasn't been any consistency to the offense in terms of overall system since Molk left. I think maybe Funk was taking the heat for Big Al's schizophrenic offense.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Foul Ole Ron||
Much impressed by the Ron reference.
|3 weeks 10 hours ago||Looks bad to me.||
My knees already aren't great. Doing this to them would be bad.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Great point||
about the proliferation of trickeration by Borges and the necessarily more contained plan by Nuss. And I would agree that people just wanted something consistent and not the soul crushing yard loss generator Al was employing. But Al did like the big play. And that is something that probably won't reappear until the OL and the offense in general are all on the same page. Unfortunately, I think you can basically say last year was a complete waste as far as growth and improvement was concerned.

is an excellent comment and rebuttal to someone looking for an argument. The team was terrible. But it doesn't mean they aren't trying and learning and doing well in practice. It just means that sometimes, when you have a completely new offense, because, you know, you have ONE offense, it may take some time to learn. I think the concerning thing is that if this offense was able to put up points against the defense on a regular basis, the defense may be a disaster. However, I'm sure they're disheartened by the lack of the offense being able to do anything right in games. For the last 4 years.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||The problem with that kind of thinking...||
Usually there is someone on the team who has learned the system and is able to help the freshmen out. There is someone with some training.
We're in a, basically, completely new system with all new reads and different techniques. You want someone to blame for this game? Blame Gorgeous Al and his different offense every week game planning. You can probably also blame him for a lot of the zombie speed too. If the guys were used to one system and good at it, there would not be so damn many problems.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Excellent summary.So what is the solution?||
Pure air raid offense and forget about the running backs? put out 5 wide every time and tell them all to start looking for the ball after their first step?
I haven't watched the game yet. May not at this point now that I'm finally seeing some analysis being done as to why the Horror II happened.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Yes.||
I think they probably made a mistake not keeping Barwis. Wellman may be good, but the fatigue shouldn't be that bad this early.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Got it||
I remember reading the article about the press release and BYU being mentioned.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||BYU?||
I thought there was an announcement we would play BYU. No?
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Hmm.||
I thought this was over the top fallatio a la espn.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Almost?||
Edit: Yeah. Double post. That's how strongly I feel about it.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Yeah||
They like his style. And overall integrity.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||It wasn't bad...||
But I like more aggressive.
