Here’s something that NOBODY…

Here’s something that NOBODY seems to be talking about:  Why the hell does UGA get to play in the Peach Bowl on NYE in Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium?  That’s a virtual home-game for them as Athens is like 60 miles away.  What’s more, this will be the THIRD time they’ve played there this year alone!  vs. Oregon in the first game of the season, vs. LSU in the SEC Championship and now vs. Ohio in the CFP.  I don’t care if this was pre-scheduled - figure out how to make them travel and not make it ANOTHER home game for the Dawgs.

In the end it won't matter b/c I think they'll curb-stop Ohio, but it seems like an issue to me.

Wait, that score prediction…

Wait, that score prediction does not contain odd numbers!  Mind = blown.

Wait - I didn't say thank…

Wait - I didn't say thank you.  THANK YOU!

Brian,

You must, Must, MUST…

Brian,

You must, Must, MUST take care of yourself.  That is job #1 for you.  The rest of this can wait.  WE will wait.  This is a very high-quality thing you've put together here, and we'll wait for you if you need to step back and take more time to figure things out.

I'm really glad you have the self-awareness to do what you've done and delegate.  You have a very capable group of people working with/for you.  We all look forward to the future together.  We're all behind you.

Take care of yourself and GO BLUE!

How much more do you need to…

How much more do you need to see, in all honesty?  How is this even remotely acceptable for an HC at a "premier" programs with almost every resource available to him?  It's totally unacceptable.

That picture of Engler is…

That picture of Engler is precious.  Just precious.

Wiscy --> Wisky --> Whisky. …

Wiscy --> Wisky --> Whisky --> Whiskey!  It's gonna be a fun weekend!  GO BLUE!

Well, thank God YouTube...

...has CC capability for all of these utterly worthless 3 minute intro videos.  Morons.

PANIC! The game is today? October 5? I missed it? NO.

The game is tomorrow, Saturday, October 6th @ 4pm.

Latvia == Dong

What? Did you seriously just compare Coker's manly bits to Latvia? As a Latvian I take great offense to that bit. Not cool, man. Not cool.

Tate! WTF? Dude, c'mon...

Jeebus....

True

The buyout is $2.5M after January 1st as opposed to $4M before.  I don't think that amount of money plays into DB's decisionmaking process though.

Some Thoughts...

1.  The fact that we have not won against a ranked opponent is ridiculous.  You must win games like this in the big ten.  Wins over Indiana, Purdue and Illinois are good but those teams are perennial bottom half teams.  Michigan is better than that.

2.  I realize we have a lot of youth on defense, but I have to believe that RR has done the unit a great disservice.  He clearly was not engaged enough with the D in the last three years and we're paying for it.  It has to get better.  I expected a loss given the play of that unit, but not a whipping.  At a minimum, the ENTIRE defensive coaching staff has to be replaced.  David Brandon must insist on this.  Further, he must insist that the new hires be cleared through him.  His way or we pay the buyout and it's the highway for RR.  The episode during the Penn State game when RR had to step in front of Greg Robinson in the huddle to fire up the defense sealed that deal for me.

3.  While I think momentum and rhythm play into any offensive gameplan,  I've heard RR rely on that far too much as an excuse over the course of his tenure.  The penalties that cause a loss of momentum are stupid.  I'm tired of hearing about that crap. That comes down to discipline and coaching.  It's a big concern (at least for me.).

4.  Along those same lines, the best teams fight through momentum shifts and penalties.  Michigan hasn't done that.

Holy crap, that's it!  LOL

Holy crap, that's it!  LOL  (No offense Tim.)

Thank you...

...for saying that.  I have complete confidence Courtney will grow into a fine CB but right now, given any other choice, he shouldn't be on the field. IMO  We're hamstrung into playing a true freshman right now.  Not his fault.  There are few that could do better than him given the very unfortunate circumstances.

This was the precise moment I...

...screamed TAAAACKLE so loudly that I nearly busted 3 veins in my head and lost my voice for much of the week.  This precise moment.  In a related event, my wife took it upon herself to disassociate herself and our children from me by telling everyone who would listen, "He's not with us.  Never met him."  Overreaction?  I don't know.  It seemed appropriate at the time.

I'm not happy...

...about this, at all.  Aside from the defense, this team has a ton of issues to correct going into the rest of the season.  Special teams are abysmal.  The fact that the team didn't know the ball was live after the blocked FG is purely a coaching issue.  C'mon guys, there are too many loose ends.  I'm rambling now...

I certainly...

...hope so.  He's the spark and the flame in our offense.  Here's hoping last week was just a bump in the long road.  Bring it!  Go Blue!

OT: Did anyone else just hear Herbstreit just...

...call out Mallet on the GameDay broadcast?  He was talking about the Ark/Auburn contest.  They were talking about Mallett's play and he said something to the effect of, "...when things aren't going right, stop looking at your coaches, stop looking at your offensive line, stop looking at your receivers and go make some plays."  I don't much care for Herbie but I think he was right on here.  I never cared for Mallett that much - he had a chip on his shoulder that he hadn't earned, IMO.

As long as we....

...win the turnover battle, Denard makes good on his promise to the team never to play that poorly again, Demens brings out his inner-DEMON, the secondary doesn't play craptacularly, Ezeh is in full-on bench splinter-getter spectator-only mode and the jackass behind my seats keeps his jackassardly Michigan fair weather fan trap shut on gameday, we'll win.  The last bit about the dummy behind me won't happen and we'll lose a close one, 28-34.  NO WAIT, the dummy behind me is just that, a dummy, and will have no bearing on the outcome of the game!  Therefore, we win 35-31!  Rejoice everyone!

Well done, Brian but I repectfully disagree with your final prediction.

Tuber....

...culotic.  Time to break out the chronic...

Kinda ugly folks, and I'm not hopeful for IA.  While I agreethat we can probably handle the IA run, that'll make Stanzi beat us with his arm.  If what folks are saying is true - that IA and MSU's passing cames are comparable - look out.  It could be another long day in the BH.

Kovacs may be "wierd" but I like him.  Great story.

Go Blue!

The pain is...

...subsiding.  Nearly everything I see here are correctable mistakes.  The dropped balls, especially late in the game were absolutely unacceptable.  Two in a row by Roundtree?  Ridiculous.  They'll be better for this game moving forward.  I'm confident in that.  If they aren't, its a coaching issue IMO.

I also agree with the assessment that the interior OL will be able to manage the IA DL on Saturday.  I think we'll see some special things from Denard and the hopefully a healthy Shaw, Smith and Hopkins (we need the latter to rage.)

Go Blue!
