|14 hours 39 min ago||indeed||
as much as that loss hurt last year, this one for nd is way worse. to play so well for so much of the game against this dominant team, and to let it slip away in the final couple minutes...ouch.

nobody on our team was that dynamic down low. morgan would have been swallowed up by townes.

you should be able to grap it out of the air. bill russel is disappoint.

Thought you were talking about Friday night lights and almost died of joy. Guess I'll have to give this show a try if this is big news

2. Saban (if I was good)
3. Urban Meyer (if he moved to not OSU)
4. Oregon coach
5. Bret Bielema so I could be a splinter cell and uncover more of his ridiculousness (if I was bad and had no shot to play in NFL)

is that my bracket is in the bottom 4th percentile on ESPN, so I must be doing something really right.

Love Burke, but he's a below average NBA player. Timmy would be our best player, and he's a mediocre NBA guy...but if he's your best player youd be lucky to win 1 game all season. Stauskas as a freshman was solid in college but I think the off season did wonders for him...and even now he can't find minutes in the NBA because his defense isn't there yet. Freshman McGary was very very raw until the end of the season. Morgan was a solid college player but no. Gr3 as a freshman no, and even now he was cut.

They can pump out a as many M.D.s as they want, but it's a useless title if you don't get a residency spot. We just got Wayne's match information yesterday. Our match success rate stayed the same as years past (97%), but our in state matches dropped 7% (22 fewer people). It's too early to say that isn't just some variation in that class's desire of where to be or if it is caused by OU. Once CMU starts matching (my year...sigh) we'll get a better sense.

to the statement that college basketball is objectively better than high school basketball. Not sure why people can't see the same thing holds true for NBA basketball.

tells you where you are going. It's not really like a best place scenario...it's just the place...scenario.

Politicians are suspicious of how the hospitals use the money, because a lot of it goes to overhead and they don't have to explicitly state how they allocate the funds. Another possible issue (this is just heresay from the lobbyists that work for Wayne State and teach a program on medical politics at the medical school) is that doctors aren't as politically engaged as other professions, so their interests get drowned out by the relatively strong lobbyists of nurse practioners, physician assistants, etc.
I think that opening more medical schools in Michigan (and increasing class sizes at existing schools) is short-sighted as long as there is a nationwide cap on residency spots.

1 D.O. student matched into orthopedic surgery last year...in the country.
vs. 649 M.D. students.
page 30 and 31
Edit: don't listen to me on this matter. Guess I don't really know too much on this stuff.
|1 week 1 day ago||no clue||
I don't know much about D.O. school other than what my buddies and google tell me, plus the handful of MSU D.O. students who are at the Detroit campus.
|1 week 1 day ago||3 out of last year's 206||
neurosugery residency spots were filled by D.O. students. So pretty much four-leaf clover. But not base don any innate disadvantage...I just think D.O. prepares you for different stuff.
|1 week 1 day ago||I think the argument||
is that there are some logical steps that could be made to increase scoring, but the NCAA can't implement them because it would make it appear that they are trying to sell the product as entertainment, which will hurt their narrative that college sports is about student athletes and not entertainment.

it will look good on applications and it is the only way to really get insight into what your life could look like. shadow a lot, and see as much different stuff as you can. if you're at uofm, my experience was that doctors there were really awesome and open to having undergrads come in.
