I hope

my kids are as respectable and classy as these guys.

Well..

My friend was having a party and my ipod was plugged into the speakers (my mistake never to be made again) and him and his goon ass friends were sitting next to the ipod and I went to get another drink and when i got back, the ipod and those hoolagans were gone. I had seen him a few times in other places too and always seemed like a big doucher. Like, bro youre not even good. I can go be a tackling dummy for the michigan defense too if i wanted. But im not mad. Its not like he is going to be doing anything with his life, so he gets what he deserves. I guess he falls into the Tate "you have to try really hard to fail" Forcier catagory of ass hole.

Onward and upward, ya dig!

I said it before...

I said it before when he got kicked off our team, and Ill say it again: Im pretty sure this douche stole my ipod and no, I have not let go of it. Eff that dude, he got what he deserved from Michigan and while he is only suspended from CMU i dont think that will last long. Book it! Some just cant hack it at the whole "doing the right thing" thing.

It looks like...

DP's offense could beat our defense in a 7 on 7.

Great find!

GREAT FIND!!!

I always love

getting my share of Kris Frost's "out there"

I dont like this....

HaHa (a Bama Commit) + his running back coach (a Bama Fan) + Nick Saban = not good

What about...

DE'ANTHONY THOMAS

noted.

Thanks

Honestly,

not surprised. I am 95% positive that he stole my ipod at a party in may.

Head Over Skis....?

HEAD OVER SKIS!!!!!!

Head over skis?

I have probably..

watched this video over 100 times and it has to be one of the most inspirational "get up after getting knocked down" football videos of all time. IMO.

Give em the D!

Lets hope our front four (and hopefully front 7) give Pryor some nice stiff D and that they go hard all the time until Pryor is begging them to stop.. and then go some more... Yea. that sounds nice.

I would put money on...

Erin Andrews having slept with all (or at least most) of ESPN's TV personalities. Next time Erin Andrews is doing an on field report and doing her sign off, imagine this:

"I'm Erin Andrews and this is ESP..glog glog glog glog (the sound of Stu Scotts schlong in her mouth.)"

It always makes me laugh when I'm watching her reports...

I promise you... are going to have to eat your hat!!! Never question Montlake Jake cause he will make you look foolish... Kinda like you will look when you are eating your hat!
Agreed!

I like 4th after OSU, Wisc, and Iowa... Or we get that pick back against Iowa, run the field and finish 3rd... IM SO EXCITED FOR SEPTEMBER 4th!!!!!!!

Wrong Side?

While this is on the wrong side of the argument, I couldnt stop laughing:

I wish...

... I could neg vote Pete Fiutak.

Shivers

Ive probably watched that video 25 times and every time its better than the last. I get shivers when it changes to color with excitement for this upcoming season!

Thanks Tim...

but couldnt we have held off for a few hours to add Mr. Fisher to the rankings? I like seeing another OL on the board.

I love the Big House

I love the Big House more than any stadium I have ever been to. But I have to say, our volume level doesnt compare to the newer stadiums that are designed to keep noise in.

On this site, http://www.ruxxe.com, the author says says (probably a slight exaggeration in my opinion) that:

Autzen's 59,000 strong make the Big House collectively sound like a pathetic whimper.

But the truth is, especially before the upgrades, The Big House was in no way designed to keep sound in. It has been a bit better with the upgrades though.

MGoTaiwan

I have been studying in Taipei, Taiwan for the past 6 weeks and oh how I miss Michigan. Taiwan is great but there is nothing like the bond that Michigan instills in everyone associated with UM. Well, I was missing home today and as I was getting of the subway, to people decked out in Michigan gear were getting on. I almost couldnt gather my words because I was so surprised, but I mustered up a GO BLUE!!! and they returned a GO BLUE!!! promptly. Then the subway car doors closed and I looked around and had attracted the attention of all 200 people in Taipei Main Station. Embarrassing? yes. But i loved seeing the Maize and Blue on the other side of the world!

46...45...44?

As if these rankings have ANY weight whatsoever, I feel like a kid on Christmas every time I refresh the rivals page and don't see "Michigan"!

47. MSU

46. Texas Tech

45. University of South Florida

44....

This just happened:

I completely agree. Its just

I completely agree. Its just like when the mariners wanted to leave in the 90's. Ken Griffey and Co had a magical run to the playoffs and Seattle rewarded the team with a new stadium. I think that if last year was in Seattle, there is no way that a new stadium and a long term lease wouldnt have been in the motions.

I'm sort of in the same vein.

I'm sort of in the same vein. I have a very strong disdain towards the NBA and the OKC Thunder Team but I love KD, and Westbrook, (actually met him in seattle and he is a super nice guy and was very sympathetic towards Seattle fans) Nick Collison still hangs out in Seattle, Quincy Pondexter from Washington just got drafted. It actually makes it harder since I like almost every player on the team but I could never root for it because I hate the ownership so much. I don't really watch the NBA any more because a) It makes me sad, and b) I actually dont really enjoy watching the NBA that much when I dont have a team playing because I hate the ref's and the foul calls and I hate the ridiculous fines for coaches and players that point out the bad foul calls. So i guess at the end of the day, I am not a fan of the NBA or OKC but watch occasionally during the playoffs etc. Although in the playoffs I usually root against teams rather than for them (i.e. Against the Lakers, or OKC)

Why cant we have....

Hey I am not hating on your video cause I think its great and Its 10x better than I could do, but I wish our Athletic Department (or someone like who ever made this site) would put out some sick ass video for Michigan football!

Check it out:

http://www.oregongridiron.com/program/motivationals/09motivationals.html

The production and graphics and general sick-ass-ness of these videos make it easy to understand why a payer like Andre Yruretababybalooga commit to Oregon before they even visit Michigan. The openings can be a little fruity but the actual footage of the football and stuff like that is just ridiculous.  I think David Brandon will start pushing more things like this. He seems to be consistent in his view that the small things add up.

Great Pick Up

I really like Kevin. From watching his films he looks like (especially for not having played QB for a long time) he has pretty good patience in the pocket and when he needs to scramble, he doesn't put his head down - he keeps looking down field for his receivers. He is definitely a passer but if he needs to, he can take off and make a defense pay on the run. He is a lot like Devin Gardner in this aspect. Also like DG, he is not super fast but runs very elusively and can stop and accelerate quickly (His best reported time. He has 40 times ranging 4.48, 4.5, 4.69, and 4.92. I think somewhere around 4.6-4.7 is a good guess. He is extremely athletic with a solid build at 6'2'' and 215 and is a load to take down on the run (For reference, DG is 6'4'' 200, Tate is 6'1'' 195, and Denard is 6'0'' 188). Many times he even takes defenders on straight up which is good because he usually makes plays for extra yards but bad because of injury potential.

His release point is not great and neither is his spin on the ball but from his interviews, it sounds like that is what he has been working on most in the off season which is good to hear. He does, however, have a pretty strong arm because he can throw downfield even with out good release or spin. I cant wait to see the zip on his throw once he figures his release out. His throws are not always pretty but he definitely studies the play book and knows exactly where his receivers are going to be and when they are going to get open. His throwing form is a bit of a project but should have plenty of time to develop if Tate and Denard hold it down this year allowing DG to take a redshirt.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Voting

Ill probably get shit for asking this.... but, how do you vote?

I completely disagree.

It sounds an awful lot like the pot calling the kettle black when you call people from Michigan arrogant. Who are you to say to the admissions office of a top 3 public university, you should completely ignore your admissions standards to admit this kid who has dropped out of his school, had legal issues in the past, and comes no where close to the standard of admissions for any other applicant. Do you understand how bad an 18 is on the ACT? And every report states that his score JUMPED to 18 after previously being much lower. the middle 50 percent admitted to Michigan score about a 30 on the ACT and have about a 3.6 gpa. I am not saying DD is not a changed person or a good or bad kid, but the honest truth is that he would not have been able to succeed at Michigan. In recent years you have seen this problem with Mike Milano, Boubacar Cissoko, and Justin Feagin. How has the admissions office lowering their standards and giving out "chances" payed off in recent history at all? The university has REALLY helped its image by admitting kids who had no business being admitted through all of the headlines on ESPN about kids getting kicked out for drug trafficking or academic issues. And maybe we would be having a different conversation if we were 11-1 last year or even 9-3, but we werent. I completely disagree with your opinion and I think that the only mistake that was made by Michigan was not seeing the personal, legal, and academic issues before they okayed a scholarship to be offered. Also, you need to understand that Michigan is not just considering admitting or not admitting Demar, they are considering whether or not they should spend 150,000$ by paying for his time at UM not to mention his books, room, travel, and food costs. Not all superstars are troubled either. Look at any interview with Timmy Jernigan, Kris Frost, or Dee Hart for that matter and you can see that they are composed and talk about the importance of being strong in the class room as well as the field. These are the types of kids we should be offering scholarships to.
