Yes, he is a guard, but Michigan hasn't stopped recruiting him despite only taking 3 OL prospects. Since they always shut positions down when they reach their target number, they must be willing to take him.

3 days 18 hours ago Jamarco Jones (presumed OSU

Jamarco Jones (presumed OSU lean) and Roderick Johnson are probably the next two up. After that, not much else activity right now.

4 days 19 hours ago Yes, I could absolutely see

Yes, I could absolutely see that as well. The good news is, if Taylor holds off Peppers, we know that he earned the spot instead of them playing favorites with an upperclassman. It's a win either way when you have two talented players competing.

4 days 20 hours ago Your 2014 starting secondary

Your 2014 starting secondary could be FS Jarrod Wilson, SS Dymonte Thomas, FC Blake Countess, and BC Jabrill Peppers.

In the words of Bacari: HALOL

5 days 12 min ago Magnus...

Another SAM type they're looking at is Jimmy Swain (the fourth!) out of Missouri. Have you had a chance to watch his highlights as well? And if so, who do you like better? Swain night be a slightly better athlete and he's got about 10 pounds on Winovich right now. I think to a certain degree you're obviously hoping that they can add 20-30 pounds and maintain that athleticism so neither one is any guarantee, but both seem like they could be fairly good if they develop correctly.

1 week 17 hours ago He was a great player and I

He was a great player and I know reporters love questions about how X player might have been overshadowed or Y player might be underrated because he had a superstar teammate, but there's just no way that Timmy didn't benefit tremendously from being on the same team as Trey Burke. He's a great shooter, but if he was the focal point of the offense, he would have been asked to put it on the floor a lot more often and he would have struggled to do so.

I think NBA scouts probably have an excellent beat on his skillset and he'll have a productive career, but not everyone has to be "underrated", some guys can just be "rated".

1 week 2 days ago Am I the only one that's

Am I the only one that's afraid we just landed Will Gholston Jr?

Obviously everyone you land isn't going to be a superstar, but I'm afraid the hype might exceed the talent here.

And before you neg me, that's just like my opinion, man.

1 week 4 days ago Well yes, they may be on the

Well yes, they may be on the decline now as Beamer gets older, but the series doesn't start for another 7 years. Whose to say they don't have Foster or an entirely different coach who has them highly competitive and revitalized?

Waaaayyyy too early to speculate as to the quality of the game at this point.

1 week 4 days ago DC Alums

Huge alumni base out here as well. I know a ton of alumni are going to be making the trip for this one so there should be a very strong Michigan presence as well. Should be fantastic.

So Braxton Miller and Devin Gardner are both putting in work with Whitfield, huh?

When Big Ten defensive backs go to sleep tonight they better say a little prayer of thanks for Andrew Maxwell so that they can still get a few interceptions.

And yes, he's worked with a laundry list of top QBs the past few years like Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, RGII, Johnny Manziel, Roethlisberger. The guy knows his stuff:

OSU people are speculating that Hubbard isn't a linebacker. They were looking to bring in 3 and have told kids they're still looking for 2, thus Hubbard is either a DE or an H-Back/TE.

3 weeks 21 hours ago You're missing the real

You're missing the real issue. The real question about Big Ten expansion is: will Rutgers come into Michigan and steal the second-tier kids from MSU?!

3 weeks 21 hours ago In case you didn't know, I

In case you didn't know, I don't coach for Michigan, but...

I would love to see them pass on a running back this year and use that offer for a fourth WR or a third LB and then in 2015 go all out on Mikey Webber and Damien Harris in 2015.

It's a win/win for all parties really.

4 weeks 4 days ago You don't come across as a

You don't come across as a jerk at all, I think it's reasonable assumption that they could lead. I just know that a lot of the Michigan writers think that Michigan very well could, and I do tend to agree with them.

I'm a firm believer in reading into the quotes that players give after a visit. They all say positive things because most of the schools have their act together, but you can tell based on the verbs and adjectives they use whether or not they truly loved it. I just think he gives off better vibes about Michigan than about VT.

4 weeks 4 days ago It's Funny

Because absolutely every Michigan writer seems to think that Michigan leads for Da'Shawn Hand, but they're all terrified to say it and be wrong, so most of them put down Virginia Tech leads.

5 weeks 18 hours ago I agree that I'm not all that

I agree that I'm not all that concerned about rhe backup WILL. If Ross were to go down they would move Morgan back over to the WILL and put Bolden in the middle.

5 weeks 19 hours ago I agree that 247 really seems

I agree that 247 really seems to be doing a great job as well. I have ESPN Insider because I think Tom is on his game and clearly a great guy, but I don't think I would ever pay for Rivals or Scout and I'm seriously considering it for 247.

Rivals may have the best rankings, but in terms of subscribing, it's hard to see what value they add that other sites can't cover. 247 does a good job facilitating discussion, and they're not afraid to say where they think a school is actually at with a prospect, which is ultimately what people want.

5 weeks 4 days ago My thoughts

I think you're going to see next season unfold a lot like OSU's season did this year. At the beginning expectations might be a bit too high as they are still young and people overvalue how smoothly they can transition to a team without Burke, but then Beilein coaches them up and they get steadily better until they peak at "very good but are they great?"

5 weeks 4 days ago (No subject)

I could be wrong, but won't his eligibility expire in 2016? You only get 5 years and he has the redshirt year (2012), the sit out year (2013), and then playing years (2014-2016). And then we play them in 2017.

Man, two phenomenal posts the morning after the game. I'm not sure why I read anything else.

Thanks, Ace.

6 weeks 18 hours ago Not necessarily a surprise,

Not necessarily a surprise, but it seems like he was the staff's top target at SLB.

It's so strange how the 2013 and 2014 classes have flip flopped for Michigan and Ohio State. They got Bell, Apple, Bosa, and a bunch of other national guys while we scooped up all of the Ohio guys and they couldn't stop talking about their "national focus" under Meyer. Well this year they're getting all of the Ohio guys while we're pulling in Cole from Florida, Mone from Utah, and we very well could land Peppers, Hand, and a whole bunch of other national guys. Just weird, very weird paradigm.

I know the engineers may scoff, but that's also a pretty damn accurate description of my econ brain as well.

7 weeks 3 days ago Kinda Sucks to be Berger

With it being the offseason, him being from Ohio, and since the recruiting battle for him is seemingly the most competitive, both fanbases really seem to be flowing their competitive juices in the direction of his decision. There's going to be some high quality gloating and teeth gnashing when he comes to his decision in a couple months.

8 weeks 3 days ago Good write-up Ace. I feel

Good write-up Ace. I feel like everyone is focusing on the Havoc defense, and rightly so, but the other thing I feel teams have to watch out for is guarding the 3 point line in transition. I saw them hit many open looks from 3 when they were able to push, drive, and kick and that would obviously be nice to avoid.

9 weeks 4 days ago I've only seen The Simpsons maybe 15 times...

Can someone explain who the bee guy is and how that fits Iowa and who Northwestern is and why that fits?

Apologies for the ignorance.

10 weeks 17 hours ago I didn't hate Tom Crean

I didn't hate Tom Crean before this game but holy hell do I do now. He's neurotic/twitchy, puts himself and his actions in front of his players again and again, classless, and whiney.

The best thing I can say for Tom Izzo is that I only hate him in those 40 minutes that Michigan/Michigan St are playing each other. The same is mostly true for Bo Ryan and Thad Matta. But Crean is just a loathsome child. I think the Big Ten is going to get rather sick of him very quickly.

10 weeks 5 days ago FWIW Craig Roh has now

FWIW Craig Roh has now mentioned both Willie Henry (on twitter) and Chris Wormley (on WTKA) as guys to watch out for on the line.

10 weeks 6 days ago It's actually the best thing

It's actually the best thing that could happen to Speight as well if you think about it. Now coming off his (presumed) redshirt year he gets an equal opportunity to earn the starting job in a straight up QB competition instead of being entrenched behind a guy with a year of starting experience.

10 weeks 6 days ago I read somewhere that they

I read somewhere that they only have room for 34 this year.

Make sure you figure out exactly which recruits are going to be there and chant their names. It is your direct responsibility to recruit these kids, and if you don't chant their names the have zero motivation to come to Michigan.

Do your duty, citizen!

But credit to the coaches as well. He gushed about the program according to an interview I read, but the coaches are the what makes him do that.

This should also satisfy Brian a bit. It's worth using a scholarship on a fullback if you can get a guy like him. His highlight tape is fantastic.

13 weeks 6 days ago And by that, I obviously

13 weeks 6 days ago From what I understand, when

From what I understand, when he wraps up some loose ends and just gets more comfortable, like taking parents on visits, seeing a few more campuses for comparison, that sort of thing.

14 weeks 18 hours ago Obviously the coaches saw

Obviously the coaches saw enough to offer him and this may seem like sour apples now that he's committed elsewhere, but I was actually hoping that Marshall might not end up at Michigan. He looks like a poor man's Taco Charlton to me. Look at his highlight tape, he never beats blocks. He's not as athletic or quick as Charlton and I don't know if he'll provide much more than some second string depth with the players they've been bringing in.

14 weeks 3 days ago That's a Groce child? You

That's a Groce child? You don't even know the kid, you shouldn't be slamming him like that.

14 weeks 4 days ago Camp Circuit

It will be interesting to see if he hits the camp circuit like Shane did. He certainly has a lot to gain in the rankings and it's never bad to get more time throwing the ball, but I've read he has a personal QB coach of some sort so maybe it wouldn't be as helpful for him.

15 weeks 4 days ago Did read, did enjoy.   Would

Did read, did enjoy.

Would ride again, 4 stars.

15 weeks 6 days ago Great Read

As a follow-up, perhaps you could look at the assist rates and transition baskets when McGary and Morgan are on the floor to better understand the offensive efficiency numbers? If McGary passes better and creates more offense off of turnovers, you should be able to find it in there, especially as the year goes on.

18 weeks 3 days ago Picking nits

Picking nits: Donnal is from Ohio, not Indiana.

I take issue with saying Michigan's defense isn't good. They're ranked 39th on KenPom. They're not "great" or "suffocating", but they are definitely good.

In fact, I think in many ways their defense is an expression of Beilein's offensive philisophy, just on the other end of the floor. They're not going to be really aggressive and try to disrupt the other team's flow, but take what the offense gives them with opportunistic blocks and steals and just constantly getting their hands in your face to contest your shot. But there are 347 Division I teams, if you're ranked 39th I would say you have a good defense.

They all committed early (orginally at least), and they deserve to know what they're getting in to.

The message coming in was, "Martin and RVB are going to be awfully hard to replace", but the remaining starters got coached up and took either small (Thomas Gordon, Demens) or large (Ryan, Morgan, Roh, and Washington) steps forward, and the defense as a whole didn't suffer for it. I think as the system becomes even more engrained, the leaps forward might not happen in place of steady improvement, but with these coaches and the players they're bringing in, it's hard to imagine this defense being even average over the next several years.

Long term I would still love to see Beyer moved over there. Maybe he'll be too small next year, but he's not a pass rusher and his strengths seem to be his intelligence and coachability. His senior year he could be fantastic.

Sort of related, sort of not, but my favorite part of this week and to a greater extent this year has been watching State fans try to reconcile their team in actuality with their pre-season expectations of it. They see the line for the game set at 10 points and their major struggles moving the ball and many are saying, "Excellent, this team performs so much better when they're the underdog!" But this relies upon some sort of warped assumption that there's just this switch they haven't been flipping that will somehow turn on against a highly motivated Michigan team with a singular focus on a Big Ten championship. You had 3 points at the half against Eastern Michigan! Adjust your expectations already.

In all seriousness though, 2014 does look like a pretty down year for Michigan talent, especially from a depth perspective. The top end talent is there no doubt (Harris, Webb, McDowell) but there doesn't seem to be a ton behind that. I think Michigan will land 3-5 Michigan prospects this year and in general will give out a lot fewer offers than the past couple of years. I think they've got all of their offensive linemen from their offers so far except they might offer Kyle Trout. They might get up to 100, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them stay under the triple digits.

I actually hope he takes more time and sees a few more schools before he commits. Dawson committed within minutes of getting his offer and then continued to receive offers and attention from other schools. Better he does due process before committing than to feel trapped by the no visit policy (which I like, I'm not criticizing it).

31 weeks 19 hours ago Ya, he's been interesting

Ya, he's been interesting already. He visited Purdue last weekend against Michigan and got his first offer from them and then decided he loved it so much that he was going to go back there this weekend for the game vs. Wisconsin. Then, the Michigan coaches called him and probably hinted that if he visited they would offer and he really should come check it out, so he visited and got the offer before the game. Then he spent all Sunday hanging out with LTT and he's been enamored with Michigan ever since and says he'll be back for the State game this weekend.

In other news, Twitter is a hell of a drug.

31 weeks 1 day ago Yes, but as you're seeing

Yes, but as you're seeing with MSU this year, if you want to sustain success year after year, you do need to have some elite recruits. I agree that it's not as important considering the other commitments we have, but it's very hard to build an elite, dynastic type program without elite recruiting. This one decommitment doesn't hurt as much as it might have in the past, but you can't rely on sleepers alone.

Personally, I would like to see them go after a committed prospect before they offer Finely. Not only because Pocic, McGovern, Montelus are higher ranked, but because Finley's sister is at State and I actually think he would be less likely to make the switch. In general though, I'm not very optimistic that they'll be able to swing anyone else and I'm fine with 4 linemen.

31 weeks 1 day ago I disagree, it's pretty

I disagree, it's pretty obvious that if Dawson would have visited Florida he would have committed to them as well. It's just the timing is different (and proper) now. The coaches just believe in the word commitment. If you're visiting somewhere else, you're not committed.

31 weeks 1 day ago They could always reach out

They could always reach out to a couple of linemen, but you would think that those linemen have been building relationships with the schools they've committed too. Notre Dame has several commits with Michigan offers as well, so if they want another O-Lineman they can always reach out and there are 4 months to get in someone's ear...

31 weeks 4 days ago Ya, obviously Strobel will

Ya, obviously Strobel will put on the weight long term and I think that SDE is definitely his position, I just don't know if he can put it on for next year. And good point about Clark as well, he is walking a very thin line at this point.

For me Beyer just came to mind because I feel the same way about him as I did about Roh at WDE. He's not a big liability or anything, but he's not going to get to the quarterback enough for the position and that's why a switch seemed like it could put him in a better position to succeed.

31 weeks 4 days ago I didn't forget about him,

I didn't forget about him, I've just never been all that impressed with him as he doesn't seem to do the little .5 point things Brian mentions that have made RVB and Roh successful. I think you would be more likely to see Heitzman there than Black. And Beyer is the same weight as Strobel right now (252), so if one can't put on the weight for the position then the other can't either.

31 weeks 4 days ago Haha, well that is just damn uncanny.

Haha, well that is just damn uncanny. Beyer or bust for the switch though. He's the biggest and the worst pass rusher of the three.

31 weeks 4 days ago I was looking forward to this

I was looking forward to this all week, just to see how Jake Ryan would grade out. Count me not disappointed in the slightest. Mini-Clay Matthews indeed.

I've also been thinking about this for awhile and my not so bold prediction is that Brennen Beyer makes the same move this offseason that Craig Roh did last offseason and your UFR's next year feature Beyer as "mini-Roh" or "mini-RVB" as well. He's not much of a pass rusher at all, and it's obvious at this point that Ojemudia is at least coming along. With Frank Clark at WDE as well, the position is a bit crowded. Better a junior Beyer with game experience than a walk-on like Brink or a redshirt freshman like Strobel. Anyone else see this forthcoming?

2. Florida State: They play in a weaker conference and EJ Manuel should be a lot better this year, plus they have a lot of talent on defense.

3. Michigan State: They just have so much proven talent on defense, and Leveon Bell should be very, very good as well. I hate myself for picking them, but unless some serious injuries occur I don't see them having a less than top 10 type year.

4. Ohio State: Also a talented defense and they'll get a bump from a weak schedule. I don't see them as suffering from any motivation problems either. They're not going to win everything or something stupid like that, I just think they'll outperform their spot.

I would agree with that. He took over the event in 2011 and in the past two years it certainly seems like he's been using it to hype up some under the radar prospects and get them exposure as shown by a UCF commit "winning" it this year.

You didn't really voice your opinion on whether or not you think that's ok, but I really don't have an issue with it. Shane is good. Many, many people seem to know that he is very good and he will have his college paid for 4-5 years as a result of being good. Being named one of the best 11 QB's at an almost-but-not-really football competition isn't going to change that, but if someone gets more exposure and a scholarship offer because Dilfer hypes them a bit more than they should be, the benefit from that is a lot higher than an ego boost for someone like Shane.

Zeke Pike was named an Elite 11 QB and he's going to be a tight end(!!!) at Louisville(!!!), which isn't even the school he was planning on attending less than a month ago. There's no benefit to being an Elite 11 QB when your goals are "Be a really good QB at real football" and "make the league". None.

39 weeks 22 hours ago Why?

Why? Because in an event where they play shadow football where the defense knows it's pass 100% of the time, there's no pass rush, and each QB only throws 30 balls in a few days he didn't think Morris was one of the best 11 QB's?

Blame the event itself and the hype it receives, not Trent Dilfer.

So is it better to have a 90% chance at an effective income of $57,000 or whatever or a 96.5% chance at an effective income of $52,000? It's all situational really.

44 weeks 3 days ago Changing topics completely

Changing topics completely from comments thus far, that effective income study is definitely interesting, but I would like to see them take it a step further. I only follow Shane now and even that's a bit much at times. Do your civic duty people, follow the pros and you'll still get all of the relevant stuff.

This is what I'm most excited about as well. I want our bro quarterback to do better than USC's quarterback.

When Brian posted that Manningham video I had a very hard time not thinking about Morris to Treadwell. Here's hoping we can get another one of those special QB-WR combos.

46 weeks 2 days ago Couple interesting

Couple interesting updates:

One negative:
@SBNRecruiting: Jaylon Smith looks very good. Super long and quick. QB Morris has not impressed through two games. 3/4 borderline sidearm not accurate

And one positive:
@SBNRecruiting: Very impressed with Khalil Hill. Michigan commit has the feet of a kid 30 pounds lighter.

46 weeks 4 days ago Wow, definitely one of the

Wow, definitely one of the better Detroit News articles that Sam has done, I highly recommend that everyone follow the link. Most of the time Webb just turns to his Scout colleagues to get a fluff scouting report and has one or two quotes from the prospect where they give generic answers about what they're looking for in a school, but this really went in-depth into his specific situation. It's very cool to see recruiting from an intimate perspective like that and get taken through what a recruiting visit can be like step by step. These coaches just seem so damn good at selling Michigan to these prospects, and it's exciting to see what that entails.

46 weeks 6 days ago I don't have insider

I don't have insider information or anything but it really depends on the family and the situation. Look at OSU for 2013. Fans were certain they were going to get Mike Heuerman and Jaylon Smith this year because both of their older brothers are on the team and yet both of them are going to Notre Dame. Sometimes you just want to blaze your own path in life, other times if you're really close it sounds like a great opportunity.

I agree that OSU has an almost 100% chance of picking up a stellar 2014 linebacker haul. They have 2-3 really good ones at home and then for whatever reason Clifton Garrett out of Illinois loves them and then of course some national names might pop up. Unfortunately they'll be just fine.

47 weeks 18 hours ago If you enjoyed that one, I

If you enjoyed that one, I suggest you go back and read this one from May 2011. Ramzy reflects upon the Brady Hoke hire with way more optimism than almost anyone had back then and his predictions ring true less than a year later.

http://www.elevenwarriors.com/2011/05/the-cleaner

He posts about once a week and I make it a point to read pretty much every one of them. Other than the fair share of Michigan digs and a heavy dose of Buckeye arrogance they're almost always worth your time.

47 weeks 2 days ago I'm an '07 grad of GR

I'm an '07 grad of GR Christian, absolutely not surprised to see others lurking on these boards. I don't know if it's so much recruiting as the youth football program that's making a massive difference in the quality of the football team. On the flip side though, I think it's having a pretty big impact on the soccer team. They used to win championships in the late 90s in soccer but now all the good athletes are playing the foosball. Cool to see them with some athletes recruited by Michigan though, I agree about that.

47 weeks 5 days ago Interesting, Caleb Day just

Interesting, Caleb Day just committed to Illinois as well. He's a 4 Star athlete (according to rivals) from Hillard Darby who was also at Michigan's camp and was attempting to earn an offer. Which means that the coaches obviously thought Stribling was a better prospect.

More specifically, it's a reference to the deep abiding obsession that the citizens of Alabama have for college football and a hatred for Auburn or Alabama depending on which team you're a fan of. College football bloggers generally use PAWLLLL whenever they are highlighting and mocking anything particularly stupid or fanatical that goes on down in SEC country.

So Webb posted that Gedeon is up to 230, McCray is apparently at 235 and both are rising seniors. Ferns is only a rising junior and is 230 as well. Jake Ryan's reported weight this spring was 230 as a RS Frosh, and he plays the strongside. Any chance any of these guys out grow the LB position?

48 weeks 20 hours ago If you go back and read

If you go back and read Brian's recruiting post for Jake Ryan he was actually pretty excited about his highlight film and you can see why. He sheds blocks with ease and really thumps some guys. And Brian's excitement for Morgan was also "irrationally high" because he could lay some serious wood. You don't see that with Ringer's film. He's pretty obviously an FBS talent, but he doesn't wow you with any one part of his game. He can get caught up in the wash, his instincts are just about average, and he doesn't have the athleticism to make up for it.

I got my panties in a bunch when his excitement level for James Ross was only moderate plus, but I think this one is just right. He's going to be fighting with a returning starter, 2 touted players in the same class, and a fairly touted one the class below him for 2 WILL and MIKE spots. Seems tough.

48 weeks 3 days ago If everyone's highlights

If everyone's highlights represent their best plays (and why wouldn't they, really), doesn't comparing highlight tapes allow you to evaluate prospects on an apples to apples basis? The coaches put out a lot of offers based on game film alone as well. Believe it or not they are actually fairly representative of a player.

48 weeks 3 days ago A VERY solid point, although

A VERY solid point, although whether that pipeline would be successful is another question. I still think that as long as Wilcher is there, Michigan has their pick.

Cass is producing a filthy amount of BCS talent these days though, 5 in the 2013 class alone. That's approaching St Thomas Aquinas in Miami numbers.

48 weeks 3 days ago Ya, I had heard it was a

Ya, I had heard it was a track and field thing as well. I know football takes up a lot of your time, but wouldn't a full ride scholarship still be worthwhile, and couldn't he pull off both? It's certainly an interesting situation. If they don't get Finley they're going to be pretty desperate for OL this year since their only one just decommitted. They're going to have to start poaching whoever they think are the best sleeper options from lower tier B1G programs and MAC programs.

48 weeks 3 days ago Interesting that Finley is

Interesting that Finley is blowing up like he is, good for him. Watching his film he certainly has the frame and athleticism to turn into a very functional big ten lineman. However, I also think the explosion of offers has to do with the pace at which offensive linemen, especially the midwest ones, are flying off the shelves. The best linemen left in the midwest are Riley Norman at #25 and he apparently might not even play football, and then you have Lovell Peterson and Kyle Meadows out of Ohio, but the OSU staff has seen both of them in-person and chose to offer Finley instead.

Maybe some other years he would have ended up with an offer, but with the relationship Michigan has with Cass Tech you have to figure they're more happy with who they have then they would be with him. But here's hoping he turns into a good lineman. At Illinois or Iowa (if they offer) preferrably.

He served as an assistant coach to the novice team a few years ago, very hardworking and this is a great accomplishment. Best of luck to him.

48 weeks 5 days ago Ummmm,

Ummmm, have you seen Hoke, Borges, and Mattison? I don't think a "frump-chique" collection exists that could upgrade their wardrobes.

49 weeks 16 hours ago While I would agree with you

While I would agree with you that the scouting sites sometimes overhype prematurely developed man-children (I personally think RB Green is the perfect example of it this year), I don't think that offer lists are necessarily more revealing to a prospect's potential than their physical attributes. There have been plenty of busts with offers from nearly everyone as well if you're going to look at it on an anecdotal basis. I think it's about finding a good fit for your offense or defense, your coaches goals and personalities, and your program, and hoping they have the drive and intelligence to succeed. There are so many factors and that's why things become murky.

50 weeks 17 hours ago It would definitely be huge

It would definitely be huge to land him and that's what I'm hoping for as well obviously, but I agree that if he is going to go anywhere else, let it be Vanderbilt. How often do they get a big recruiting win like that?

Let's just hope that Leon McQuay has an attractive enough Mom for Franklin to let him sign that letter of intent though (For those of you who don't understand, click here: http://jezebel.com/5914716/vanderbilt-football-coach-brags-about-only-hiring-assistants-who-have-super-hot-wives)

50 weeks 3 days ago Just my opinion, but I do

Just my opinion, but I do like our chances with Poggi. His parents really seemed to love the visit and the coaches, and Alabama wants him as a tight end. I think it's very close, but I just think Michigan might have a 55/45 edge.

And no, I did not think Michigan would get Levenberry, so I don't think every prospect goes our way.

50 weeks 3 days ago Magnus seems to be more

Magnus seems to be more bullish on Ross than Brian does and I tend to agree with him. I think he's just one of those football players that gets it done and tackles everything in sight due to his instincts. His ceiling is a lot higher than moderate IMO.
