26 weeks 1 day ago | Lol. Our fanbase fucking |
Lol. Our fanbase fucking sucks because of all the people like you. So many of you dipshits who have never played a sport in your life care more about being "right" about whatever bullshit opinions you're trying to push than just having fun. It rubs off on the team. |

40 weeks 4 days ago | It's bigger because it would |
It's bigger because it would consolidate other jails that need to be replaced. And even in a worse case scenario tax credits for a set number of years really won't screw the city any more than building a massive county jail complex directly in the central business district would. That's a hundred year mistake, was always incredibly stupid and crooked, and I'm constantly shocked there's so many people against this rare opportunity to reverse a massive blunder. |

They are both drastically fictional films made for entertainment, so yeah, good point. They are exactly the same. |

Ilitch getting a new stadium and deciding to drastically increase payroll had a bigger impact. |
2 years 35 weeks ago | As others have already |
As others have already pointed out, the only thing that would lead to Tigers doom is reducing payroll and giving up their perennial 50 million dollar advantage over the rest of the division. Dombrowski has not made good moves the last two years. In fact, they have been horrible moves. It is not a coincidence that these bad moves coincide with the Tigers being up against the luxury tax. |
2 years 36 weeks ago | Moss doesn't have better |
Moss doesn't have better sources than the local media he is constantly threatening with death, stalking, and harassing. The only thing that makes him different- as merely a lunatic with a blog-- is that he doesn't have to confirm rumors in a responsible way. People always have well sourced accurate information that one person has told them that they reliably know is true, but you can rarely print that kind of tip without more verification. Unless you're just a maniac on the internet who likes to play pretend. He's also far from always right. He doesn't obsess about the times that he's wrong like he obsesses over everything else though. |

No, he's like 40. That's why all his cultural references are always at least 10 years old. |
2 years 36 weeks ago | Jeff Moss is a serial |
Jeff Moss is a serial harasser and stalker. If Brian 'knows' him in any real way that doesn't just involve going along with Moss's delusions of being a local sports personality, it doesn't reflect well on him. |

Last time he was pimping a huge breaking story it ended up being him having someone prank call local writers. He's a disturbingly creepy guy. |
2 years 36 weeks ago | He was the first to post it |
He was the first to post it to the internet because he's not a journalist. Many people had the same info. |
2 years 37 weeks ago | Being in large markets will |
Being in large markets will still be important if cable collapses, because you're going to want to subsidize the meager profits you're going to see in that marketplace with whatever you can get. In this case, the deals with OTA networks, which will become more important as everyone sees their choices limited as production funds dry up. |

It doesn't sound like he's missing the point. His pictures directly refute your repeated certainty that this is a new development. |
2 years 41 weeks ago | I'm mostly just still |
I'm mostly just still confused why anyone thinks that any brightening was an Adidas development. I'm currently looking at a late era Nike t-shirt that is basically the same color as a current Adidas one, and no it's not faded, I never wear it. People were already complaining about this 10 years ago. |
2 years 46 weeks ago | It's not really true that |
It's not really true that there's never a good reason. If someone is being drastically underpaid compared to their results, an early extension can be a good idea. Like with Trout. |
2 years 46 weeks ago | I genuinely don't understand |
I genuinely don't understand why people are still going with the slow decline thing when more than half the lineup is younger than 26. They might not be good, but turning into the Phillies didn't happen. |
2 years 46 weeks ago | Pretty much every national |
Pretty much every national baseball-focused outlet has criticized the Cabrera deal. Not that they really ended up being correct given salary inflation and the fact that he's still performing. Maybe he would have been a tiny bit cheaper and gotten one less year if they waited, but that's about it. |
2 years 46 weeks ago | They did offer an 160 million |
They did offer an 160 million extension to Scherzer, that doesn't really scream unable as much as they ultimately decided not to. In a world in which an unremarkable and average pitcher like Rick Porcello gets an 80 million dollar deal, the Tigers contract situation isn't that bad. |
2 years 48 weeks ago | Wow, Deep take millennial Tom |
Wow, Deep take millennial Tom Friedman, you're so wise. It's so amazing how nobody has ever noticed before that young people like buying prestige products and that they believe they can see through marketing. Nobody in the history of retail has ever taken advantage of that. |
2 years 51 weeks ago | A total collapse of cable |
A total collapse of cable just means that content producers that have ad friendly products like sports will hold out for more network money. They won't just keep doing what they're doing now and making the product available everywhere. Ultimately the only thing that will be hurt is consumer choice, which is hilarious. |

3 years 8 weeks ago | The only reason anyone likes |
The only reason anyone likes the 1989 uniforms is because they're the 1989 uniforms. Using a logo in the spelling of a name is amateurish and terrible to begin with, but also using different fonts and offset sizes looks especially sloppy. And white block M's, really? Nobody would call that 'uniformz' if a modern design did it so prominently? |
