Come off it man.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||Get off my lawn.||
EDSBS has one of their "Michigan Man" posts joking about this subject, but judging by most of the comments here it's actually an entirely accurate analysis.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||Personally, the Maryland and Rutgers negativity is getting old.||
Get over it already. They might be struggling in sports at the moment, but Ann Arbor has far more in common with the urban schools of the east than the corn institutes you're all so fond of here. I'm sure most in the band wouldn't mind going out east to play for our fans there instead of a trip to Indiana.
|36 weeks 4 days ago||It's probably time to retire "you guys," you guys.||
When there are multiple instances every post, it's starting to get a little weird.
|37 weeks 2 hours ago||This is the most obvious and accurate point.||
It's true in every single sports league, but of course there's apparently some typical unbearable mgosoldier marking every mention of this as trolling.

Nobody is trying to airline you, the game is 100% functional without that stuff. Paying extra money to cheat the game mechanics isn't nickle and diming you, it's letting people who want to buy something that isn't necessary to the game pay money for something they want to do. If you don't want to do that, don't buy it. You even pointed out that it's not necessary.
You were only disgusted because you're vaguley aware of all the Consumerist nonsense.
|42 weeks 4 days ago||You seem to be under impression the current online models hold.||
Which is entirely ridiculous. If more people cut the cord than get cable, online services will no longer be viewed as supplemental by content producers. That's what it is now. Supplemental additional income. They'll be monetized properly if and when they need to be, and the enitre cord cutting fad will suddenly seem less appealing.
|43 weeks 5 days ago||The Xbox will still support used games.||
While I'm sure they've been surprised by everyone suddenly being so enthusiastic about gamestop and the status-quo retail model that before a month ago was universally hated-- the digital distribution based system that the XB1 is going with still supports used games. They just require a company to be affiliated with their system in order to process the license changes. Assuming that the likes of Amazon and Paypal will be on board, the impact of that is minimal.
|46 weeks 2 days ago||Yeah, it's tough out there.||
Sometimes you just want to talk about how much black people love fried chicken, and everyone keeps calling you a racist and oppressing you. It's awful.
Tip: People generally call you a bigot because you're a bigot.
|51 weeks 4 days ago||Doesn't matter.||
We're supposed to rend our garmets because Iowa and 2 years of playing Nebraska are untouchable rivalries that mean everything to the school, even though far more students are from the East Coast than are from Greater Corn, Midwest.
|1 year 3 weeks ago||They supply the NBA.||
These takes are moronic.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||I thought we were past this era of logos.||
Warping a beaver head to make it the shape of an arrow does not make your team look faster or more aggressive.
|1 year 7 weeks ago||Totally.||
Complaining about the quality of Big Ten officiating should only ever be done anonymously on a message board nobody cares about.
|1 year 7 weeks ago||While I'm not sure what he was going for||
When you frame something with "the way things are going in college basketball" that usually doesn't mean you're actually encouraging it-- it's more a criticism of how something is being called or handled, but being realistic about how teams will take advantage.
But again, I'm not sure what point he was trying to make... whether it's touch fouls to the head, or instant replay or what.
|1 year 10 weeks ago||They'll be tolerated because nostalgia...||
But if shorts with that striping style were on a non-throwback the bitching would be intense.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||You're great.||
It's amusing how you post as if you actually knew what you were talking about.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||Betemit is a switch hitter with a massive split discrepancy.||
At least this year. You can't just overlook that- a platoon certainly seems like it's the right call with him at the moment. Yeah, it would be great if the platoon player was someone better than Inge, but the mere idea of platooning him isn't a terrible, undefensible decision.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||Fielding percentage is just errors.||
It's really not at all a good way to measure fielding ability.
Not that I'm saying Inge is the same player he used to be in the field, he's not. He was just average at best earlier this year.
And have people been watching Betemit flail away at left handed pitching? Why would you want him out there for that? He looks awful from the right side of the plate to the point where I don't understand why he bothers switch hitting.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||Yes, the games against lefty starters. Like Leyland said.||
Irrational haters such as yourself should like this move- at least this way if he continues to be as futile as he was earlier in the year they can do something about it before the playoff roster deadline. But his AAA numbers against lefties suggest that he earned a shot to prove he can contribute. There's no reason to hope he will, but it's better to find out now.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||No, they don't.||
Inge was an elite defensive third baseman from 2005-2008. That has nothing to do with his whiteness, it's just the numbers. Look up UZR and +/- in the period if you need to be educated. 2009 he had a great first half before his knees blew up, rendering him totally useless since. Your entire argument rests on the idea that he's a middling player, except he wasn't. He was one of the best in the sport at a particular aspect of the game.
|3 years 11 weeks ago||Yeah.||
It's awful that people are allowed to have opinions with no enforced group think.
|3 years 14 weeks ago||Bye.||
Nobody gives a flip about you.
|3 years 14 weeks ago||Jesus, you're tiring.||
I see why anyone who disagrees with you doesn't bother posting.
|3 years 18 weeks ago||Good point.||
It looks like it belongs on a can of Bud Light instead.
|4 years 27 weeks ago||Great stuff.||
You don't even know the guy, yet you felt compelled to post multiple times now about how much you hate him. Including the always hilariously pathetic internet fight challenge.
|4 years 30 weeks ago||I don't think it's possible||
I don't think it's possible for anyone to be as bad as NDNation. They're hilariously obnoxious even when they don't lose a game.
|4 years 30 weeks ago||Oh yeah?||
Well, the 400 trombone suggestion is still the best take in this thread.
|4 years 31 weeks ago||Yes, people like the Victors Waltz....||
...when it was played in the final minute of a game that has been decided like it was when it was introduced in what...1998 I think? The 'tradition'(but really it's an error that caught on) of waiting until the clock hits zero is not something you need to be defending just to defend it. It can be improved.
BTW, anyone that knows that it's actually called the Victors Waltz was probably in the band, so your lecture is pretty funny.
|4 years 31 weeks ago||This seems like a good place to post this.||
But one quick and easy band fix that I think absolutely needs to happen is to quit playing the Victors Waltz when the clock hits zero. The team may be pumped up and running around after a huge victory, but the crowd has to wait for 20 seconds to join in. That's just silly.
A simple change like this is very much tied into the "Find a way to connect the band to the team" goal.
|4 years 31 weeks ago||Memorizing music isn't difficult.||
Banal, trite, and sycophantic pandering to your favored directors of the past isn't very helpful.
