As a firefighter I warn everyone now, this fire season is already deadly it's going to get worse. We are super dry on the west coast. Please clear your homes at least 100 feet of any brush I prefer 300. When you are told to evacuate GET OUT so we can do our jobs. When we have to protect you we risk our lives and yours. We then can not protect your house. We thoughts and prayers are with those 19 families.
USC/UCLA that high? It's been so one sided like mich/osu. Oregon and OSU while I like watching it is one sided. Osu has only won 6 games since 1994. In state rivalries are tough because they are regionally based. Georgia/tech are up there as well as Texas vs Texas a&m even though they don't play anymore. When they did man it was exciting especially at A&M. Michigan vs little brother. Top 5 idk. Cause anybody could put a list together and depending where you are from can influence it.
Yes we do turn on out TV and root against ND. Anytime Michigan is on in any sport am watching. I do not care if it cheer leading, if its Michigan locked in. A true die hard.
Expansion is dead because schools signed crazy buy outs. Which if I read correctly is about 50 million. You were a casual fan before expansion but because expansion you got into it more. Well expansion killed my passion and now this new division alignment on the big ten what a bunch of crap. Big ten is do afraid of a mich/Ohio rematch it has not happened but if it did I be willing to bet the stadium would be packed. Not like wiscy and Nebraska. Going to nine conference games almost assures a rematch happening in the big ten championship. Either neb or wiscy will be a main stay in the big 10 championship sprinkle in Iowa or northwestern. I hope Michigan and Ohio play this year in the big ten championship to prove my point and I have to be honest might be a while before we get a chance to play for the big ten championship. Ohio is at the sec level when it comes to winning, they will do whatever necessary to win. They want NC the rest of the big ten wants rose bowl better wake up that is not going to be on the table every year now.
AA and Oregon have to the tougher brackets. Look at south Alabama, Kentucky and Louisville. A lot better draws considering we are the lower seed. If Cal's pitcher is back they are a top 20 rpi team. I get the other two teams are not but cal will be difficult. Lsu already took us out so I hope we do not get them in the supers.
I worry more about us. We looked shaky against Nebraska then Wisconsin just dominated us. Our bats have to get going. Honestly Sarah is the pitcher this year the only way she pitches is if we lose to cal the first time and have to play valpo or cmu. Wagner was hurt a lot this year. She is a stud but does not have it unfortunately.
The sears cup only takes the schools top 20 sports. 10 for men and 10 for women. They don't take all of ohios sports. Don't get me wrong winning a nc in fencing or shooting is a hell of a lot easier than swimming or softball. Less teams you have to defeat. Michigan in 5-8 years will starting getting solid points in lacrosse.
Typical weak ass Michigan fan response. Our athletic department has dropped off big time. Only one sport matters and that is football. REALLY??? We finally beat Ohio and we clearly have the advantage over them? Get real we have dropped off big time with all our sports especially football. Ohio has dominated us in football. We like to fall back on our 11 NC that all happened before 1950's besides the 97 year. In the last ten years they have been to three NC games, won multiple BCS games, and have won 7 big ten championships. Ohio has more BCS wins then we do bowl victories. We have in that same period won 2 big ten championships, won 3 bowl games and have beaten Ohio twice. You are right we are far superior. Ohio's athletic department kills ours, there fans are better. They want to beat us in every sport and anytime Michigan shows up they have a club that shows up to cheer on Ohio in beating michigan in any sport. Our fans only want to win in football. During our football games over half our fans sit on there hands and complain when people stand up to cheer on our team. Basketball they embarass us. I cheer on all Michigan sports not just football like the majority of our weak fan base. We should be demanding more from our athletic department. It has become about making money and marketing not the product on the courts, the fields, the gyms, and the pools. I guess our athletic department and fan base go hand in hand. It's time for our FANS to wake up and smell the coffee. stop coming up with excuses and stop failing back on the 1900-1950's successes. Besides the 97-98 NC year our last 20 years in football have been unacceptable to Michigan standards.
