I mean, if a game against Rutgers is this close, the coaching staff should be out. Even if UM ends up winning, a game this close to get to 2-3 should tell the AD enough about the state of the program.

So the bar is not getting as embarrassed as last time. Bravo. I bet Alabama because I had zero confidence Harbaugh would get the team up to play or have a coherent game plan. UM continually loses big games and is the laughing stock of big programs. Problem is this is the norm and the fire Harbaugh crowd have no viable answer to the question “well and then what?” We’re in a position where we have to accept mediocrity and getting pounded by any team with a national presence.
I see a lot of “this team never quit” and “showed a lot of heart” on here. In the end, Michigan looked unprepared and lost another big game. That’s pretty much how the Harbaugh era has gone.
Pretty sure we’ve gone to sweet 16, elite 8 and final 4 losing after at Iowa. While sky isn’t falling would be nice to win there in either sport for a change.
I get the Indiana basketball comparison to Michigan football but, in fairness, Indiana basketball has won the conference in the decade. Twice I believe.
You know why there is so much negativity around the football program? Because it is just so hard to take it all in and not view it through a negative prism. How can you spin the past couple of months in a positive way? Damn it this sucks.
What is the alternative system that you would support? Changing the playoff to six or eight? Michigan would have been one of those teams and got throttled by Florida. The other two teams in the playoff got smoked by Bama and Clemson. Pay the players? That doesn't keep us from getting smoked by OSU. I get that it is boring to have the same two teams play each other but I don't think the system is the issue.
This game was a weird feeling. I’m a BPONE guy and with ten minutes left, even when Indiana got within nine, I was calm and confident we’d get a stop here and a bucket there and stave off any run. ZS is a bulldog and a calming influence. He may be my favorite player of the last ten years, and there are a lot of awesome guys to choose from. Great win!
