Wow - that really took me back 25 years when I read your account of what happened that terrible day in the spring of 85'. I was on the JV team and rode the same bus with Varsity. I totally remember that song being played on the way to Pontiac - a short 1/2 hour ride from 12th street in Flint. I think I sat next to Bernard Cason and in front of Matt Kerouc and Tim Touhey on the way down, listening to that song the whole way.
They dropped us off at the JV field and when we got on the bus after our game, we didn't know exactly what had just happened at the Varsity game, but we knew it wasn't good. I'll never forget when that police car pulled over our bus. Man, that gets me choked up too whenever I hear that song now. All these years I thought I was the only one who associated "Don't You Forget About Me" with Chad Joslyn.
