Oh my. WVU forgot how to play basketball. And Wiggins is ready for the NBA. What a great player. Watch him put on some weight and he'll be right up there with LBJ easy.

Don't turn off CBS too soon. UK making a comeback. Down 6 with 12 minutes left.
|2 hours 1 min ago||Well there are definitly two||
Well there are definitly two solid sides to this topic. Yes there are going to be flaky teams from power conferences that will lose early in the Tourny (ie OSU this year would be a good upest pick).
But I think in general we tend to see teams from non-power conferences that roll through the regular season struggle in the NCAAT. I mean even last year Wichita State lost 6 games on their way to the Final Four.

Very good point. That is a long list of close games against inferior competition. It will definitly be interesting when they face a well coached team that doesn't struggle against a full-court press.

Holy cow. A 23 point lead for WVU over Kansas.

Definitly not a hater. Just using common sense and not buying into a team being a Final Four lock just because they put up a perfect record and gaudy stats against inferior competition.
I'll take a battle tested 10 loss team over the Gonzaga's and Wichita State's every year.

And Iowa is taking on Illinois in the other Big-10 game tonight at 8:30 on BTN.
And watching this UK-UF game, I can't help but think that we would break Florida's trap and destroy them like we did last year.

Thanks. I missed that one (and so did the OP apparently)

I have a feeling though that we would be able to break that trap, and demolish them like we did last year.

Here are the teams in the photo (from L to R):
Notre Dame, Baylor, UCLA, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, Louisville, Cincy, Indiana, and Tennessee.
Now which of these 10 teams listed doesn't belong? Another way to ask it is which teams aren't going to make the NCAAT.
The odd teams out are our buddies in South Bend and Bloomington. Too bad those beautiful lime green and black uni's won't be around for March Madness.

Interesting note to make the rewatch even more interesting.
After Horford commits a charging turnover/foul, the game clock never stops running. The play happens at the 51:54 moment of the youtube video.
The infraction occurs at 11:02 game time. The clock continus to run while the play gets sorted out, the floor gets wiped down, and we make a couple subs (yes this is crazy).
Minnesota then inbounds the ball at the 10:28 mark. The scoreskeeper must have noticed a mistake because they then stop the game clock at 10:27 with the play going on. They resume the game clock 8 seconds later.
So in all, they ran off 26 seconds of game time.
I was freaking out when this was going on and was completely shocked that neither coaches or players noticed this.

I'd agree with this. My prediction would be for the ACC to win it all, but the Big-10 isn't far behind.
I just think the way Duke, UNC, and UVA are playing right now, and Syracuse is a very tough team to beat.
The Big-10 may have the same number of teams with a shot at the Chip, but I'd say their strength is stronger than ours. I'd take a trio of Duke, UVA, and Cuse over Michigan, Wisconsin, and ________ (up in the air between MSU and Iowa I guess...)

Teams I feel would be the most difficult for Michigan to beat (not in order):
Florida, Arizona, Syracuse, Kansas, Duke, Virginia, Wisconsin, Iowa St, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
Everyone else: Bring em on.

It may not even have to be an issue of a top heavy idea vs deep conference idea.
I believe that it is just the grind of playing physical Big-10 basketball against a group of very good coaches just about every game.
There is very little room to coast into a game "expecting" a win.
Yeah the top teams haven't looked like an elite team against every team in the Big-10 this year. And yeah the bottom teams have looked terrible at times, but have also looked like they could hang with anyone sometimes.
If I were to give a straight answer, I would say that the Big-10 has 2 or 3 very dangerous teams for the NCAAT, and 2-4 more that could possibly upset someone they aren't supposed to.
And I predict that a Big-10 team will go to the NIT Championship game.

A lot of fans from teams who hate Michigan are claiming that:
1) GR3's foot hit the ground before he got the final shot off.
2) Morgan touched the net while the ball was on the rim, which should have negated the basket.
3) The officiating was so one sided towards Michigan, that Purdue should have won by 10+ if not for the poor officiating.
Guess we can't really celebrate this "win", if you can even call it that...

Gotta give the man credit. He has really quieted the haters recently. He's starting to come around at the right time. If he can keep producing like this, I like our chances to run the table.
All hail GR3!
