|2 days 18 hours ago||In State Recruits||
The depth this year is fantastic, but I think the "winner" of the state will be whoever can grab one or both of the Top 2 of DPJ and AT.
I think it's safe to say DPJ will be a national battle all the way to signing day, so it's not safe to assume he'll stay in state.
AT I think is more likely to go to either Michigan or MSU.
Whoever comes out on top with AT will be the recruiting winner. DPJ will be a national recruiting victory.

Not sure which part of my post is confusing.

Finebaum and Phyllis from Mulga have another roundtable discussion over Harbaugh and his desire to steal "Bama kids from her backyard, and how Saban will never let that happen!

Living rent free.
Harbaugh has Michigan on everyone's mind.
This is the year he makes his statement that we're back, and we're not going anywhere.
|5 days 19 hours ago||True, but...||
The same can be said for Big Mike Onwenu and Devin Asiasi.
I just thought it was interesting that an NFL style QB wasn't even in the Top 5 for excitement level.
Out of those Top 6, which one is most likely to have the best a) college career, b) NFL career?
I think the answer to both is Gary, followed by Onwenu, Peters, Long, Asiasi, Hill, then Hudson.
|5 days 20 hours ago||Excitement Level: Only #5||
From a thread shortly after signing day, the question was asked:
"Which recruit, other than Gary, are you most excited to see?
Peters only came in at #5 (actually, #6 since Gary wasn't included in the vote for obvious reasons). Crazy to think there are 5 recruits we are more excited about than an Andrew Luck caliber, #1 draft pick, NFL HOF'er QB.

MSU: Price (TE) and Bullough (LB)
Both should have been picked in the 30's.

It's always Summer where I live (humblebrag: HAWAII).
I've got the Hawaii Spartan Trifecta in 24 days, and the Honolulu Marathon in December.
I've been biking 30 miles/week, running 30 miles/week, lifting 6 days/week, fast pitch baseball games three times/week, eating only fish/white meat chicken for dinner the past 3 months, and having zero rest days these past 2 months.
I've lost enough weight my wedding ring doesn't fit anymore. I went from 160lbs to probably 145lbs (I'm 5'10'').
I think I'm one or two weeks away from being in the best shape of my life. I just ran a 5:30 mile, an 17:10 5k, and 58:40 15k. My goal is to run a 4:50 mile and a 16:00 5k. Also, I want to run the Marathon in 3:30:00 or faster.

GVSU - Undergrad
Missouri State (LOL, nobody roots for Missouri State football)- Grad School
Navy - Dad served, huge fans of Navy Football
Georgia Tech - Best of all the evils in that area of the Nation. Became a fan during the Reggie Ball - Calvin Johnson days. Still a fan supporting Paul Johnson (former coach of Navy, 45-29 record)

But Tom Dienhart over at BTN just ranked his Top 10 B1G D-Linemen. Let's just say his Top 10 is very different from our Draftageddon team.
His Top 10, which are included in the Top 10 DL from Draftageddon:
1-McDowell, 2-Smoot, 3-Wormley, 5-Replogle, 7-Glasgow
Those our Draftageddon team either overlooked, or Dienhart is too high on:
4-Jaleel Johnson (Iowa), 6-Tyquan Lewis (OSU), 8-Demetrius Cooper (MSU), 9-Steven Richardson (Minnesota), 10-Roman Braglio (Maryland)
Those our Draftageddon team were higher on than Dienhart:
Hurst, Mone, Hamilton (Rutgers), Charlton, and Hubbard (OSU)

Good Luck DG! Crush those weak B12 defenses!
|1 week 3 days ago||Those 3 teams are much better this year than last year.||
Except now BYU is returning an experienced QB, Maryland hung wtih MSU last year in East Lansing, losing 24-7 although that was the game Cook went down. And NW is no slouch, returning both their starting QB and RB.
|1 week 3 days ago||MSU||
I've been saying this all offseason. MSU has a very very tough schedule, and it doesn't set up nicely for breaking in so many new players.
Weeks 2-7 for MSU are all pretty much 50/50 or MSU as the underdog.
@ND, Wisconsin, @IU, BYU, NW, @ Maryland, Michigan.
That's brutal. Especially when you consider they are breaking in a new QB, only return 1 WR and their TE, 2 new OL, and no depth on the DL or secondary, plus replacing 2 of their 3 best players from last years D.
I can honestly see them losing @ND, Wisconsin (they return an excellent OL and RB), @IU, BYU, and Michigan. They could start the season 3-5. With OSU and PSU closing out the end of their schedule, and they could realistically finish 5-7 or 6-6. I think 7-5 or 8-4 would be best case scenario.
|1 week 3 days ago||Their WR group is a giant question mark||
They return 5'11'' RJ Shelton as their number 1 WR. Josiah Price is an excellent receiving TE. After that, its a giant ???
Chambers and Corley are talented, but are True Fr.
They lost Burbridge, Kings Jr, Lang, and Arnett.
That's 142 receptions (out of 244), 2012 yards (out of 3279), and 14 TD's (of the 26 thrown).
|1 week 3 days ago||I would agree with Watson||
I would agree with Watson being #1, but maybe not "a clear #1". There's this guy named JT Barrett at OSU who's pretty good. Kinda like #1b good.
|1 week 4 days ago||Disrespect!||
I'm shocked Coach D and Coach Izzo don't have a Disrespect Handbook for all current and former athletes.
"When two athletes bump into each other, and there is confusion which may lead to an altercation, one must remember that both parties involved have been trained in retaliating to any form of disrespect with 100% effort. Both athletes must recognize this and work together with the knowledge that they share a similar ideology when it comes to competition, altercations, and life.
|1 week 5 days ago||Disrespect!||
When there is a culture that not only attracts players that feel slighted or disrespected, but also breeds it, endoreses it, lives it, and breathes it; then that football player has every right to feel disrespected. He's beginning his 5th year in East Lansing, and he may feel like he's been disrespected by his coaching staff for not getting enough playing time. So to feel disrespected, by people who are constantly getting disrespected by the media and the nation; well I supposed he was bound to snap. That's just simply too much disrespect for one man to control.

247 just released their Dream Team from The Opening. Of interest:
CB - Benjamin St-Juste
All Purpose Defense - Ambry Thomas
Center - Cesar Ruiz
DT - Jay Tufele
So 1 commit, 1 heavy lean, and 2 battles against the big boys (Alabama and OSU)
|1 week 5 days ago||Semi Off Topic||
I just watched Spotlight the other day on Netflix, and besides how well done that movie was, it showed just how deep an institution will go to cover up something as severe as child abuse. And considering the time period of both the PSU and the church events, it was practically impossible for young boys to come out and say they've been molested, especially when you consider who the molesters are. Police turned blind eyes. Anyone in a position of power turned blind eyes to this becuase it was not socially acceptable to bring about such claims against godly figures such as bishops, cardinals, and JoePa.
It's sickening to believe that so many people ignored the cries of little kids, all so their life would remain steady. Nobody was willing to rock the boat.
Flip to current times, and now it's a nightmare with how often people get offended and cry about it. Talk about a complete 180.
I can't see any reason why Penn State should still have a football team. Why they haven't been kicked out of the B1G. Why the NCAA didn't give them the death penalty indefinitely. It's sick and everyone involved with have to live and die with the choices they made. It makes me sick.
Fuck Penn State. And Fuck any lowlife scum that has committed and/or enabled child abuse and molestation. The worst of the worst.

I'm in the mindset of waiting until the kinks get fixed, then I'll give it a shot. I run 30 miles/week so I'm bound to find a ton of pokemon. Also, (warning humblebrag alert) I live in Hawaii so I should be able to find some of the exotic pokemon.
Also, #TeamBlue all the way!
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Stunning||
Not a fan of having ND in the heart of our B1G schedule. Not sure why they can't play it on Sept. 7?? Both teams have an opening that week...
Also, here are your 2018 Home Games:
I guess it'd be a decent slate if it was 1999...
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I chose 2013-2014 as my||
I chose 2013-2014 as my starting year because of my theory that players are interested in the "waht have you done for me lately". Players from that recruiting class are still in college, so I thought it would be a good baseline to evaluate success from that recruiting class to the present.
And I threw in football stats as a guide to highlight which how the football teams has compared to the basketball team, as each of the schools above have been to a Championship in basketball since 1999-2000. This was to highlight how difficult it is for "basketball blue bloods" to also have a successful football team.
At Michigan, I'd guess that our fanbase prioritizes football over basketball. At UK, KU, UNC, Duke, and UCONN, I would guess it's the opposite. This may be another reason as to why the Florida's, Ohio State's, MSU's, etc can't keep up with those blue blood programs, albeit .
To demand perfection in both sports may be the dream of every fan, but in reality it's extremely rare to come by. Which is why it's hard to fathom why some people here demand UK level recruiting, wins, NBA products, conference championships, and tourney runs from a school that considers basketball secondary to football. This is why I would consider what Beilein has done here so far a success. He's won conference championships, made it to the National Championship, sent players to the NBA, and has shown his Michigan teams can compete with anyone.

|3 weeks 2 days ago||Question for the board:||
(Not sure if it warrants it's own thread)...
Which Harbaugh recruited RB (and FB) are you most excited about and/or which do you think will have the best career at Michigan?
2017 Class: O'Maury Samuels, A.J. Dillon, Kurt Taylor, and Chase Lasater
2016 Class: Kareem Walker and Kingston Davis
2015 Class: Karan Higdon
I think I'm most excited to see what O'Maury Samuels can do, but I think Kareem Walker will have the most success of the listed RB's. He's a bruiser built for Harbaugh's offense.

Overall, I'd consider it an upgrade.
