| 7 hours 46 min ago | Salary Cap |
With how tight the salary cap is going to be down the road, we don't need to overpay for a FA defensemen. They usually go for 5+ million, and I don't think we need to overspend when we have very capable pieces that have the potential to be the next Girardi's, Brian Cambell's, or Keith Yandle's. |
| 9 hours 9 min ago | No need to look for D help |
Kronwall-Ericsson Then you have Smith, Lashoff, DeKeyser, Kindl, Colaiacovo, and Quincey. Our future is in Smith, DeKeyser, Lashoff, and Kindl. That is a strong 4 to build around once Kronwall and Ericsson are gone. Quincey and Colo won't last too long, but would likely be replaced by someone on the Griffins. That's 8 defensemen. We also have several strong defensemen prospects in the AHL in Billins and Paetsch. Wings have no reason to reach in FA for defensemen or forwards. We have everything we need in the AHL right now. |
| 9 hours 16 min ago | Franzen |
Franzen isn't going anywhere. His salary only takes under 4 mill of cap every year, and his buy-out is ridiculous. He's a wing for life. |

It's final in the sense that nobody can pass Stanford. If you ain't first, you're last.

| 5 days 6 hours ago | Yeah |
I saw that, but made the executive decision to exclude it because: 1. It's UCONN 2. It was just a sentence, and I felt my post was getting too long. But thank you for posting it. |

Was 8 yrs old watching the game at Mr. Joes in Southfield. I will never forget the atmosphere in that place. The punt return, the pick 6; the place went crazy. If I wasn't a die hard M fan before that day, I definitely became one during that game. That defense was sick. Dhani Jones, James Hall, Glen Steele, Sam Sword, Marcus Ray, Charles Woodson and a young Ian Gold. Also, Keith Jackson. Mmmmmm. Nothing like listening to Keith Jackson while I'm eating my cheerios for breakfast.

| 6 days 7 hours ago | Rangers |
The Rangers have our number. I have zero confidence in our boys against the Rangers. Doesn't matter when or where; we can't beat that stinking team. As for the season, I agree with everything you said. And it's the exact same thing we all said last year: inconsistent, struggle against top teams, bullpen issues, (managing some would say). As for the class of both leagues, I think the two teams to beat right now are St. Louis and Texas. With Atlanta and Detroit being the next bests. I just don't think Boston, NYY, or Oakland are going to be much competition against Detroit or Texas. Same in the NL with St. Louis and Atlanta. Nobody really compares against those two in the NL, especially with St. Louis. That team is primed to win the next 5 WS'. |

How awesome would it be if Michigan's defense didn't allow more than 21 points through these first three games? I think it's possible, and I would really like to see it happen. |

But it is difficult to get a good shot of the 86 from this TD. |

Not much different from the old North Stars jersey, except, well, the obvious.

To be fair that Hawks player dove. He sold it very well. |
| 4 weeks 1 day ago | Wow |
What a great 2nd period. Gotta close it out now. Play solid D in the 3rd. Keep attacking, and no stupid turnovers or penalties. Go Wings! |

| 4 weeks 3 days ago | OT/Cool story bro |
OT but still baseball related. My dad flew down from Detroit to see me graduate from Missouri State University with my M.S. There isn't much to do in Springfield MO, except to visit Bass Pro Shop (!). So I looked up if any sports were being played. Lo and behold GVSU was playing at Drury University in the D-II Midwest Regional. GVSU is rolling through the competition, is 3-0, and are in the drivers seat to win the Regional. Needless to say it was a perfect day for baseball, and there is nothing like seeing my undergraduate university dominate. Go Lakers. |
| 4 weeks 3 days ago | That 2nd period |
What a big period for the Wings. And to cap it off with a goal was beyond huge. Now we just have to avoid our newfound 3rd period meltdowns and we'll have taken over home ice advantage. Go Wings! |
| 4 weeks 3 days ago | My Question |
Why are players choosing Ferris over GVSU? It seems like GVSU would be the more desirable option due to their national name recognition and success at sending guys to the NFL. Also GVSU would give you a good chance to win a National Championship. I went to GV from 2007-2011. I got there right when the glory days ended :( I hope they can find a new coach that can get GV football back to always winning the GLIAC and winning Championships. GV! Go Lakers!
Also, best of luck to Mr. Robinson at FSU (except against GVSU, of course). |

"...is all knees and elbows to heads." Kinda like the Bulls' strategy against the Heat. |
| 5 weeks 2 days ago | Watching some NBA and NHL |
Watching some NBA and NHL playoffs (so close NYI!) while drinking some ice cold water. And for my first time watching the NBA in a loooooong time, I can say that Trey Burke will fit in just fine in this league. Yeah he'll need to work on his defensive effort (especially if he is in the playoffs), but everything else about his game should translate into the NBA just fine. Go Blue |
| 5 weeks 3 days ago | I'd be a huge fan of |
Any new sports. But I would have the most interest in Mens Volleyball and Womens Ice Hockey. Mens volleyball is so intense, and I love me some hockey. Also, Curling would be so awesome. One of my favorites to watch in the Winter Olympics. |
| 5 weeks 3 days ago | Sorry |
I disagree. That LA/Stl series was the epitome of Playoff Hockey. Physical, fast, great goaltending, and timely goals. That series was awesome. Even without a game 7, it has to be the best series of this opening round. |
| 5 weeks 4 days ago | Red Wings |
My only drink is water. I'll be watching the Wings game tonight. Working on my final pages of my thesis. Will be walking at this time next week. Receiving my M.S. in Geology from MSU (not THAT MSU)...Missouri State University. Then moving back closer to Michigan and hopefully getting an environmental consulting job. Go Wings! |
