"He's a hard worker, and he watched me and Tim (Hardaway Jr.) and Nik (Stauksas) put work in to become (first-round picks), and I'm just happy he's getting better," Burke said. "It's great for the program, too. It shows what type of program the University of Michigan is and the direction it continues to go in."

That photo was more like Hagelin almost scoring the game winner on his own net. Coulda stayed on his skates and just directed the wrap around attempt elsewhere.
Falling down and kicking the puck is not advised in that situation.
But to get back to your original point, Hagelin is very fast. It seems like if NY is gonna win this game, Hagelin is going to have to be in the middle of it.

True, and thank you for pointing that out.
For a lot of HS recruits, one big thing in their mind is which is the best school to get me ready for the NFL (and has had success at getting players into the NFL).
So for all the success State has had, they are still struggling to put a high volume of players into the NFL (as compared to OSU, Wic, SEC, etc.)

What's up with this?
Michigan has had 3 players drafted so far, but MSU only has 1.
That doesn't make any sense. Coulda sworn State had at least 5 1st -3rd round locks this year.

Aannndd you can put another tally for OT games this playoffs. 0-0 stalemate in the Col/Min game.
That'll bring the goals/game down a bit.

What a heartbreak of a loss for the Jackets. This could end of the series mentally for these young guys on Columbus. A game where they were controlling every aspect slips away from them in a 5 minute span. That's brutal.
Now let's hope the Wings game win game 3. Gotta make that game 1 win count and hang onto home ice.

Yep. And it's like I can't even put a finger on what caused such a dramatic shift in the flow of the game. Once the Jackets got that 3rd goal, Pitt just turned it ON. I don't even think you can say the Jackets started playing "defensive". It's just something clicked with Pitt, and this is the result....a scary, offensively skilled team.

Holy crap. What an onslaught.
You can just about put this one in the books. Jesus what a clinic by Pitt here in the last 5 minutes.

Pitt starting to flex their muscles. CBJ getting rattled. Time Out.

Except it isn't too wierd when it's against Pittsburgh.
Now if we rooted for CBJ over, say, a NYR or Montreal, now that would be wierd.

Dang it. Pitt scores. 3-2 with 14 minutes left.

Wow what a way to start the 3rd for CBJ. Getting some puck luck to erase that last second goal for Pitt.

Well, 1-0 Hawks. Time to mute tv (or change channels) to avoid listening to their goal song.

That could be a back breaker for CBJ. Never wanna give up one in the final minute. Oh well, it'll make for a good 3rd period.
And anyone paying attention to that Col/Min game?? Minny is playing some diiiiiirty hockey. Already taken 3 Avs players out of the game.
And can't wait for this Stl/Chi game to start. Pulling for a Blues sweep.

Projected Starting 5 and depth:
PG: Walton - Albrecht
2: LeVert - Irvin
3: GR3 - Irvin - Chatman
PF: Donnal - Wilson
C: McGary - Bielfeldt - Doyle
And I think you might see a RS out of either Wilson or Doyle if one of them doesn't look up to the challenge of physical Big-10 bball.
|14 weeks 6 days ago||Wow. Now who saw this||
Wow. Now who saw this coming?? Even IF McGary decided to come back, Horford would still be #2. He'd still be seeing 10-15 mins/game. And IF McGary leaves, he'd be the #1 option at the 5.
Well good luck to Horford as he continues his journey elsewhere.

I believe that it's really debatable between Michigan and Wisconsin.
We split in the regular season, and both lost to MSU in the BTT. We obviously won the Big Ten Regular Season (by 3 games), but it was another Top 4 finish for Bo Ryan and co.
So as of the end of the BTT, Michigan has the edge.
In the NCAAT, look at the teams Wisconsin beat, compared to the teams Michigan beat.
Wisky beat American (a nobody), Oregon (who finished their season winning 8 in a row, including a W over Zona; and finished tied for 3rd in the Pac-12), Baylor (a team with 26 wins, and 5 or 6 really good wins), and Arizona (who was the unanimous #1 almost the entire year until they slipped up a couple times after losing Ashley to injury).
Michigan beat Wofford (a nobody), Texas (a team eerily similar to Baylor (Texas went 2-1 against Baylor)), and Tennessee (whose biggest win was probably beating Iowa..., but looks good on paper).
So just going off of who each team beat, I would give Wisky the edge. Throw in the fact that they got to the Final Four, and that might tip the scale in their favor.
Either way, Michigan and Wisky both had great years. It's a shame one of us couldn't win it all for the pride of the Big-Ten....There's always next year...

Baylor's offense didn't show up. Or Wisconsin learned how to play defense. If the latter is the case, then Wisconsin might be the most dangerous team in the NCAAT.

So be aggressive and draw fouls, hit your FT's, and they can stick around for a while.

Man, that look on the Baylor's Coachs' face was priceless.
Wisky is making the Baylor defense look like moldy swiss cheese.
