I think we need to keep testing how much influence Harbaugh can have on people. Obviously that dude didn't want to pie himself, but after 1 minute of listening to Harbaugh, he probably would have pied himself 20 times over then ran through a brick wall.
We need to see more of this!

It's called the "Crossroads of America" for a reason; you drive through it as fast as you can to get to an actual place...somewhere with actual people.
Indiana and Illinois are my least favorite states to drive through.

I love that chart!
Would it be too much to ask for you to put a graph together of the entire Big-10?
Also, looks like the Big-2 are starting to emerge. If the trend of ours (from this graph/table) and OSU's 4 and 5 stars continue to be significantly higher than MSU's and PSU's, we'll both pull away from the rest of the Big-10 by 2019.

Defense is definitely Carlo Kemp. Harbaugh did a BACKFLIP when he committed!! I love guys who can get pressure off the edge, run sideline to sideline, and just flat out hit. Carlo is my man.
Offense is easy: Ahmir Mitchell. 6'3''. Naturally athletic. WR, KR, PR. He knows how to attack the ball at the highest point. Can you say Braylon 2.0!!??
Can't wait to see this entire class grow and evolve into MEN under Jim Harbaugh!

|1 week 1 day ago||I believe it's because he's||
I believe it's because he's still very raw. He only has a couple years of football under his belt, and probably hasn't gotten the correct kind of coaching for his skill set. He also played basketball, so he was splitting his time between the two sports.
It's well reported that he has a high upside, which makes him such a coveted target. He has all the tools to be a dangerous player.
The only risk with taking a player like this is whether or not he can be coached into the player all the coaches see he can become. Harbaugh definitely has a unique way of coaching. So we'll see if Nick Eubanks can commit to Michigan, Harbaugh, and himself to become the player we all see he can be.
I think he could be one of our sleeper of the year picks, due to how raw he is.
My sleeper of this class candidates (and order I would rank them) are:
Three pure athletes, with a ton of potential. Can't wait to see them evolve under Harbaugh and Co.

B1G representing in Round 2:
1. Beilein - 32%

3. Painter - 10%
10. McCaffery - 2%
Much closer than Round 1.

|1 week 2 days ago||He's in Hawaii...||
I figured since he's vacationing/at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii on Sunday, I'm not sure if he is going to tell his family that the vacation is cut short so he can attend this event.
I may be wrong, but I'd assume he would want to stay in Hawaii with his family for a few days after the Pro Bowl.

|1 week 3 days ago||Some thoughts for discussion||
1. From a user comment on the linked article:
"One of the things that I recently learned is that direct head trauma isn’t the only way to get a concussion. Any massive collision that causes the brain to slap up against the wall of the skull could possibly cause one. Now think about every single kickoff and every punt. How many guys are going at full speed in opposite directions and just demolish each other. Or crackback blocks. Or some receiver going across the middle…”
This is 100% correct. Collisions involving the head are definitely not the only way to get concussions playing football. Any action that results in jarring, sudden snapping of the head is suspect to a concussion. So, like the user posted, any special teams blocks, open field blocks, blindside plays, crackbacks, and shoot, even ordinary tackles involving two players running full speed, when they hit the ground, both are subject to a sudden jolting motion involving the neck/head.
This is a huge area of concern, because all the new rules and concussion protocols only involve plays where there was obvious head to head impact. Players are known to hide symptoms of injury, so no way are they going to report to the medical staff every time they get tackled or throw a block at someone.

Here in Hawaii, you have a pretty torn rooting interest for teams up and down the west coast. Tons of transplants from LA, Seattle, the Bay Area, Oregon, etc.
But the one constant I've noticed, is the amount of Michigan folks here on the island. Every time I wear my Michigan gear (at least twice/week), I get a minimum of 2 "Go Blue's" every single time. I also get a ton of chatter from SF fans about Harbaugh. I tell them he's our guy and I couldn't be happier to have that crazy SOB as our head coach. They miss him.
My favorite "Michigan Man" on the island is a cyclist in a Maize and Blue biking suit. I've seen him twice, and he's always keeping up with the traffic speed. He kills it on the hills out here. Awesome dude.

I don't want to be "that guy" that starts yet another Swenson thread, but our buddy over at the Chicago Tribune has written his response to the new details regarding this situation:
Mr. Teddy Greenstein: Link? Link: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/ct-harbaugh-michigan-recruiting-20160122-column.html
"9. I hope Harbaugh remains at Michigan for another 20 years because college football is way more interesting with him around. I also hope he realizes that the way he’s acting is unseemly. A great school deserves better."

|2 weeks 3 days ago||My thought was that people||
My thought was that people might get "worn out" or "tired" of seeing the same reminder every day for the next 8 weeks.
Beilein has 41% of the votes for round 1, 2nd place only has 12%. Voting for the 1st round is over in 4 days. The top 24 (of 48) make it to Round 2.
All I'm trying to convey is that we might not want to press the issue and wear people out with the same old message, when we will need as strong (or stronger) voting presence in the later rounds.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||A Reminder||
What I think would be important is to remind people that this is only the first round, and our guy has a commanding lead.
The next reminder should be posted when Round 2 starts: 1/25/2016.
We need to be even more active as the voting progresses.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Yeah, I guess that's what I||
Yeah, I guess that's what I was trying to say, but didn't quite get the point across.
I agree that the biggest issue we fans have with this situation is the timing.
If the questions regarding the timing of this situation were revealed, this whole thing would be considered "resolved" for 99% of Michigan fans, one way or the other.
If it is true that Harbaugh was never in contact with him, and had Dreveno deliver the bad news weeks before NSD, then morally most Michigan fans would feel sick.
If Swenson had at least 4 weeks notice, then I think we would all be "satisfied" with the situation, given that Harbaugh and Co. gave him the ultimatum to improve with x, y, and z, or you'll be riding the bench for 4 years.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Fair Assessment||
As for points 1, 6, and 8; isn't this still cloudy, since we don't (and will probably never know) both sides of the story?
Yes, from our available knowledge, the timing sucked. But if there is a possibility he was informed 2 weeks ago, 3 weeks ago, or longer, then I think that would ease many of our concerns regarding this situation.
And I think repeating #7 is important. This staff is getting their footing at Michigan, and should be able to stay ahead of any situations like this in the future.
