i think MI will play the d-back off of the safety box line, and the d-linemen will play hundown tactics on i-formation. on spread, the lineman will play post, and the backers will quickly slant towards the play. while playing man, the cbs will let the zone to the safeties.
This defense is ok, but will be severely tested by UConn Huskies and NL Kellys early in the season. at this point, RR will switch back to the 4-2-5. Disastrous results will ensue, as has been typical of the last 2 years.
We should have really gotten Kelly instead of Richard, but nothing we can do about it now.
Kelly is going to start winning right away at ND. The biggest hope we and other ND's opponents have is that their defense will suck. But, WOTS is that Kelly will get Chuck Martin to be the DC. That guy will probably be the best DC in the country.
This is not going to go good for Michigan, and RR in particular.
We MUST have gotten Kelly instead of RR. Damn!

i'm more worried about Kelly going to ND; hope RR will get the program up soon to compete with Kelly. The best playcallers in the country are the two Kellys - Chip and Brian.
