I don't think that it was ever in doubt that as we move toward Big 10 play Tate is the one with the experience and the talent to lead this team but Devin earned playing time in camp and these first few games were a great time to give him some experience. If we were for sure not going to redshirt him due him earning his way onto the field, which RRod preaches to him players and recruits, we did this the correct way. Now if we need Devin in the Big 10 portion of the season he has seen the field but Tate will be the first one in and I think that that has been the case since camp.
After watching the Michigan D-Fence Purdue looks absurdly slow running to the ball. Also ND offense looks sloppy. We definitely have to take care of Rudolph but for the most part I am pretty confident that our D-Line is going to destroy the QB and RB's all day.
Josh Furman is being groomed to be the fastest LB on earth!!! Not a free safety. Ray is a safety and was brought here for that reason. RR knows what he is recruiting and how it fits his vision.
With Kelly's spread in place and the WR/TE combo of Floyd and Rudolph I would almost welcome rain. We are going to be able to run but if they have trouble throwing and we can key on Allen I think the advantage swings even further!
With the tempo of the offense being what it is we really need at least 3 backs that are starting level backs. It is nice to have a variety of talents within the depth chart, but the key is fresh personnel on the field as much as possible!
This look at the depth chart does one thing for me. It shows me how many people are going to rotate in and out of the game especially at RB, WR, and the Defensive side of the football. I believe that RR finally has the depth that he needs to truly run his system in "JET" mode all season. We will be the fastest team in the big ten from minute 1 to minute 60. Hopefully this will allow us to just wear people out and get a ton of pressure on the opposing QB's. 5 days until we find out! GO Blue
I have really enjoyed sitting around the student section for the last few games. It makes the game loud and exciting! Last year I sat in Section 33 Row B for a couple of games and it was hard to see the other side of the field but having everything behind me was awesome! Growing up I saw games up high in the stadium and the views of the field are great but alot more calm. On September 4th I am again in Section 33 next to the students but in row 30. I think this is going to be a good balance for me. Can't wait to see how many people we can pack in the Big House on the 4th to witness the beginning of the next great chapter of Michigan football. GO BLUE!
I was a 90's golfer that pushed into the mid 80's consistently with a set of 20 year old Ping irons and some old golfsmith woods. When I made the investment into a set that is nice but not wallet destroying (Cleveland TA2 Blades with Project X 6.0 flighted shafts, Callaway FTI Driver, Callaway x tour 3 wood and a Callaway Heavenwood 2 Hybrid) clubs I made a huge jump. I am now a 6 handicap and love the game now more than ever.
Check out www.rockbottomgolf.com. They are an overstock site with alot of last years stuff for great prices. I have purchased many of things off the site over the years and the customer service is great.
The plain fact of the matter that every game on the schedule is a "winnable" game. OSU is going to be stacked this year but this not mean that after 12 games we won't have a shot. God wouldn't we all love to shut Columbus up for a while. As bad as we were last year we had a shot, although there game plan was about as shut it down as they get. I believe that the team speed on defense is going to be the key this year! By the middle of the season GERG is going to have the D rolling IMO, and the O is going to be a scoring machine!
D-Rob is still lifting with the football guys and participating in film study per normal. Also he has been spending ample time with his receivers! So from what I have seen he is using track as his off season speed workouts, 2 days a week, and winning a few track meets in the process. Good for him and UM!
I have one of these and I love it. Look at the Backpacks at www.Nambagear.com. IT is a hard body backpack that has lasted through Military deployment with no problems.
After the incredible comeback today and the domination Bama had over UF it is my opinion that is no way that Florida can get in. I think that Cincinnati might be the second best team even if Texas wins. Not that they have a shot in hell to jump them if that were to be the case.
I think that we could see an interesting shake up in the Secondary next year. I think that the Corners will be #1 Warren, #2 Turner, Safetys IMO will be Wolfolk and Vlad. You will see Cullen and Witty on the field next fall in Nickel and I think that JT Floyd will be a safety backup by the end of the spring. Mike Williams will have a roll in the run support end as long as he can learn to find the gap before he try's and kill somebody. I think that this should sure up the play in the back but I have no idea how to project the LB's! Hopefully they get a clue! The D next year will still be young but with Campbell starting in the middle with Martin it will add some size and Vanbergen will be the SDE imo.
My bet is that he is in the trunk of a corvette with TP driving and sweater vest in the passenger seat telling him that he should have listened and postponed the press conference!
Did you watch the game live? If not I host every week on the south side of the river. I have great internet and stream it to my TV from 360 if I don't get it on my satellite. EMU is on this weekend if you need.
I will take ND in this one due to the fact that it helps UM since we beat them. Also I would like to see sparty implode which started this past week and another loss would open the flood gates IMO.
I agree and I am not saying we will win this one but the PSU offense is based on speed. They are not going to push us around with their young line. With the new GERG D I think that we can run with anybody. If we play sound this game will be close. Especially at home. We may have more trouble with huge O lines that can max protect and use their weight to run it down our thoughts(Wisky and John Clay Frighten me a little on the road). At this point I am anxious to see what this team can really accomplish. I think the sky is the limit but we are still young. We may win one of the big ones and drop a few we shouldn't on the road. We will know more after the MSU game to see how Tate and the plethora of Frosh and Sophomores deal with the hostile environment!
I wonder what if feels like to have a picture (mind you a small picture) on the cover of SI after playing in just TWO (Count them 2) College football games. Has anyone ever done it faster?
I am glad we got in early on this guy! It looks like he has great hands out of the backfield and incredible burst. If he was bigger he would be a 4* now but I dont care how you are rated if you can move like that against Texas competition.

They simply do not have enough scholarships to give. They will in the end have the highest star average IMO.
Myrcenary Double IPA ...PS I love Colorado!
I hope that we can bring this one in!
This was not to dog Tate at all. I think that he is a great football player and will be counted on to win a game at some point this year.

O-Line deserves this one IMO!

Now that he has his letter of release who is going to play back there behind Cam? M. Rob?

yup thats it!
IMO the slogan for this week should be "Michigan Football will Walk Again". Here's to the Mealer Family!

The first live presser that they are going to do is the postgame on saturday. All of the preseason video has been up within 48 hours so.
I am pretty sure that the presser was this morning and that is where all this new info is pouring out of. That is all.
